The Sea‑Sky City Lord’s Invitation

Evan Chu and the others sat in the room, slowly sipping wine. During the conversation, they asked the middle-aged general about the situation in the Sea Regions and learned that the powers here were even more formidable than those on the continent. Every force was packed with experts, and God-Venerable level cultivators were everywhere.

Among them, those who could fully transform into human form held the highest status. No wonder when Evan Chu and Silver Dragon entered this inn, not only did they not have to pay, they were treated as honored guests.

“When do you plan to take Mina back to the North Sea Dominion Palace?” Evan Chu couldn’t help but ask at this moment.

“This can’t be rushed. I hope you two benefactors can look after Mina for a while. Once she breaks the seal her mother left in her body, then it won’t be too late for her to return. When my injuries improve, I intend to make a trip to the North Sea Dominion Palace myself. Since it’s a life-or-death journey, I have to trouble you both to keep Mina safe.”

I know this request is a bit much, since we’re just chance acquaintances and you’ve already saved me. Normally, I should be repaying you, but in my current state, that’s impossible. Mina is my only family left in this world, so I have no other choice.” The middle-aged general said heavily.

“Dad! If you’re going back to the North Sea Dominion Palace, I’m going with you. I won’t let you face danger alone!” Mina declared firmly. She wanted to call him uncle, but just couldn’t bring herself to say it.

“This trip is far too dangerous. Just listen and stay with our two benefactors. With them protecting you, I’ll be at ease!” The middle-aged general refused outright.

“I’m not afraid. As long as I can be with Dad, even if it means dying, I won’t back down! How could I just stand by and watch you risk your life alone? Please let me go with you!” Mina insisted stubbornly.

“Enough, all of you. We need to discuss this calmly. Even if we’re just chance acquaintances, meeting you in the Sea Regions is fate. Silver Dragon and I don’t know much about the powers here, so we actually need your help. Honestly, saving you had this intention too.” Evan Chu said frankly.

“If there’s anything we can do for our benefactors, we won’t refuse. But leaving the Sea Regions is truly too difficult—unless you’re willing to risk entering the same secret realm we used before. Maybe the supreme expert left some clues there. That place is extremely dangerous though, so unless you’re desperate, don’t go.” The middle-aged general warned.
