Emperor God II

James Grant's body was covered in countless tiny wounds. Though small, they now bled profusely, pooling on the ground. Clutching Belle in my hand, I slashed at Emperor God.

“Good blade, but the person wielding it is mediocre.”

My strike missed. I should've hit Emperor God, yet I hadn’t seen him dodge.

“You belong to the darkness too, don’t you? Why haven’t you crossed over yet?”

My eyes widened. Suddenly, with a bang, I heard something explode—and then I was flung aside, a powerful force slamming me into the ground.

I wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth and glared at Emperor God.

“Darkness? What does that even mean?”

“You must be a newborn, right? Let me put it another way—have you attended the Dark Banquet yet? No wonder your strength is so lacking.”

“What exactly is it?”

With a sudden movement, I stood up. Emperor God glanced around at me, then looked at James Grant, who was barely clinging to life.

“Tell me quickly—those who entered, where are they? We must eliminate them before they adapt to this world.”

My heart skipped a beat. Emperor God must be talking about the members of Blackfang.

“Heh, I won’t tell you. You should know that by now.”

Suddenly, Emperor God appeared before me, gripping my neck with one hand. I couldn’t move at all—Belle slipped from my grasp and fell to the floor.

“Fine. If I kill this kid, will you talk or not? What do the colors below mean? Where are those outsiders?”

James Grant looked at me, and I shook my head.

Emperor God released me and went to James Grant’s side, kicking him hard. James Grant coughed violently. I picked up Belle, staring quietly at Emperor God, gripping the blade tightly. Inside, I began to call out—I needed power now, more than anything else.

Murderous intent began to boil within me, awakening much faster than before. In an instant, I rushed toward Emperor God. He turned, surprise flashing across his face.

With a swift motion, I brought Belle down on Emperor God—this time, the blade connected, real and undeniable. My killing intent had finally locked onto Emperor God’s body, and I saw how he moved.

With a thunderous roar, a massive black sword beam formed from baleful energy sliced into the distance, painting the world around us in a faint shade of black.
