Helen Jiang Lies to Deceive Cici

1/4/2026

"Who are you?" Cici instinctively asked back.

"You... you don't recognize me anymore?" Helen Jiang blurted out.

Helen Jiang immediately reached up and touched her face.

Ah, right, right. She'd had plastic surgery—she wasn't the old Helen Jiang anymore. It made sense that Cici wouldn’t recognize her!

Since Cici couldn’t recognize her, maybe she could really make use of this new face.

Helen’s eyes darted quickly as she came up with a perfect plan.

"Ah... yes, I’ve met you before. But you probably don’t remember me." Helen lied smoothly, "My name is Yolanda Jiang. I’m about your age."

Cici looked at her suspiciously. "Then why do you look so much like me?"

Since her last name was Jiang, she wasn’t from the Yun family.

If she wasn’t from the Yun family, why did she look so much like her?

Helen’s eyes flickered and she made up another lie, "Maybe it’s just fate? When we first met, we were just as surprised!"

Cici still felt something was off, but she couldn’t figure out what.

"Really? So that’s it. Sorry, I was really sick a while ago and lost a lot of my memories, so I don’t remember you. I’m so sorry!" Seeing the other woman explain herself, Cici wondered if she really was someone she’d known before. Otherwise, how could she just blurt out her name like that?

Helen froze for a moment.

What? Cici had lost her memory?

Amnesia!!

This was a stroke of luck!

Cici Grant, oh Cici Grant, who would’ve thought you’d end up like this!

Just wait and see how I deal with you, Cici!

Helen immediately flashed a brilliant smile. "It’s fine! We can just get to know each other all over again! Oh, what’s your new phone number? I can’t reach you with your old one, and you never told me your new number. I’ve been wanting to contact you!"

Helen Jiang, acting like they were old friends, whipped out her phone and asked for Cici’s number.

Cici still felt something was off, but she just couldn’t put her finger on it.

Seeing how familiar Helen acted, Cici felt awkward refusing, so she gave her her phone number.

Helen got Cici’s new number, her eyes flashing with determination.

It had been so hard to get close to Eric Jiang before, but now, with Cici, it was much easier!

As long as Cici called Eric Jiang, he would definitely show up!

She had to keep a tight grip on the amnesiac Cici, and use every chance to get close to Eric Jiang!

"I have something to do, so I’ll head out first." Helen didn’t dare linger, afraid she’d slip up. "Let’s talk later?"

"Ah... okay..." Cici nodded blankly.

Watching Helen leave, Cici still felt like something was off.

Why was it that when Yolanda Jiang first saw her, there was obvious jealousy and hostility, but suddenly she was acting like a good friend?

Just as Cici was thinking about this, a voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Cici. What are you doing here?" Eric Jiang asked softly. "Where’s Charles?"

Cici’s train of thought was broken, and she quickly replied, "Ah, I was a bit thirsty, so I came to get some tea. He’s still picking out tea leaves."

Eric Jiang smiled faintly and glanced around the room. "Hmm? Where’s the person who was making tea just now?"

The person making tea?

Was it that woman who looked so much like her?

"You mean Yolanda Jiang? She said she had something to do and left." Cici answered instinctively.

"Her name is Yolanda Jiang?" Eric Jiang was stunned. When he stormed out of the room earlier, he thought this woman was suspicious. The way she’d questioned him didn’t sound like a stranger at all—it sounded like someone very familiar.

But now, hearing Cici call her by that name, she felt unfamiliar again.

He was certain—he’d never known a woman named Yolanda Jiang.

Cici nodded, "She said we used to know each other... Too bad, I’ve lost a lot of memories—including people I used to know."

Eric Jiang just found it strange, but didn’t think much of it.

Maybe it was possible Cici had known people like that before. After all, she’d lost all her memories...

Ten minutes later, Alex reported to Charles Yin: "Boss, the team watching Helen Jiang said she’s just approached Mrs. Yin. She called herself Yolanda Jiang and claimed to be Mrs. Yin’s old friend. Mrs. Yin seems to believe her. Should we do something?"

Charles Yin’s lips curled into a cold smile. "She’s been hiding for three years, and I’ve let her run loose for three years. It’s time to reel her in. But don’t touch her yet. She’s calling herself Yolanda Jiang, claiming to be Cici’s good friend? Fine, let her bounce around for a few days—the higher her hopes, the harder she’ll fall! All the pain and despair Helen Jiang brought Cici back then—I’ll make her suffer ten, a hundred, a thousand times more. Her real target is my cousin. Let’s just watch the show."

Alex bowed his head immediately. "But what about Mrs. Yin...?"

"Cici will regain her memory sooner or later. She has to take revenge herself—whether it’s intentional or not, it has to be her! I went to all this trouble to drive Helen Jiang back to China so it’d be easier for Cici to get her revenge. Now Cici’s starting to doubt me, so Helen Jiang is the perfect breakthrough. Only when Cici realizes it was Helen who made her lose her memory will she seek the truth herself. Alex, you need to go fall in love!"

Alex pulled a bitter face. "Yes, boss."

"As for the other one... heh, no rush. Take your time. Revenge is just beginning!" Charles Yin’s eyes flashed with bloodlust. "How’s the situation with Ethan Yin?"

"Reporting, boss, Ethan’s doing great. He’s got most of Tenhowe Branch’s shares now." Alex reported quietly, "He’s asking if he should keep following the plan."

"Let him go wild." Charles Yin nodded slightly. "He’s being sensible, so I’ll let him have some fun."

Alex quickly took the order and retreated to the side.

Absolutely can’t disturb the boss’s love life!

That’s the iron rule!

After fleeing South Manor Estate in a panic, Helen Jiang rushed back to her rented apartment.

Only after locking every lock on the door did she finally collapse, exhausted, onto the floor.

That was close, way too close!

Charles Yin was right there, and yet she actually got Cici Grant’s phone number!

Hahaha, she actually lost her memory!

Hahaha, this is truly heaven’s help!

Cici Grant, oh Cici Grant, even the heavens are helping me!

Three years ago I played you for a fool—three years later, you’re still my toy!

Don’t worry, I’ll play the role of your closest sister perfectly!

I’m going to step on you and become the Jiang family’s new heiress!

As long as I marry my brother, as long as I become the Jiang family’s heiress, no one in this world can touch me!

With his devotion and loyalty, he’ll never leave me!

Hahaha, Cici Grant, I really have to thank you for this face!

Now that I have this face too, there’s no way my brother will escape me!

Helen Jiang gazed at the familiar yet unfamiliar face in the mirror, gently stroking it as she imagined Eric Jiang caressing her cheek. She was instantly lost in her fantasies...

After saying a few words to Eric Jiang in the office, Cici quickly came out and picked up two buns from Daisy Florist.

"Hey, where did Dad go?" Ethan Yin’s eyes darted around. He and Miles Gu had just worked so hard to create some alone time for their parents, and now Dad wasn’t even taking the chance to bond with Mom—where did he run off to?

Cici looked around but couldn’t find Charles Yin. After a moment’s hesitation, she said, "Should I call him and ask?"

Just then, Miles Gu, who had been looking at his phone, raised his head and said, "No need. Dad just messaged me—said something urgent came up and he had to leave, but told us to have fun here."

Hearing that Charles Yin had left, Cici felt a faint sense of disappointment for some reason.

Ugh, what a ridiculous feeling!

It’s better that he’s not here!

Otherwise he’d just try his charm on me again—how am I supposed to deal with that?

Hearing that Charles Yin had left, Eric Jiang’s eyes flickered. He said immediately, "You guys go ahead and play. I’ll go confirm the flowers and quantities. Cici, if you don’t mind, could you help me with the order?"

Cici was taken aback, then smiled. "Sure."

For some reason, she always felt something odd about Eric Jiang.

It was as if they were already close—almost like family. There was a sense of familiarity, but it was definitely not love.

She instinctively wanted to be close to him, but it was absolutely not romantic.

Without Charles Yin causing trouble, Cici and Eric Jiang worked efficiently—after just two hours, they had finalized all the flowers.

After confirming the last flower, Eric Jiang noticed the fatigue on Cici’s face and said with concern, "It’s my fault—you just went through a kidnapping this morning, and here I am dragging you to help. I’m really sorry. Let me handle the rest. Miles, Ethan, take your mom to the lounge for a rest. When lunch is ready, I’ll come get you."

Cici blushed. "I’m not that delicate! I just wanted to spend more time with the kids."

Ethan Yin, feeling sorry for his mom, grabbed Cici’s finger and said, "Mom, come nap with us! Miles and I didn’t sleep well last night either. Teacher says kids need lots of sleep to grow up!"

Miles Gu also grabbed Cici’s finger, gently rocking it. "Yeah, Mommy, we really want you to nap with us!"

Cici knew the kids were being thoughtful on purpose. She was exhausted, so she agreed, "Alright, I’ll take the kids downstairs to rest for a bit."

Eric Jiang watched them leave, the smile never leaving his lips.

Cici had barely walked two steps when her phone buzzed—a message popped up.

The message was from Helen Jiang.
