Seventh Jade Permit

1/4/2026

Lily Bai asked Jean's brother, "Do you have anything she once used? Anything at all would help."

"No," her brother shook his head. "She was always with Lord Sky Xiao, and for years she barely came home. She never left anything behind."

It seemed the trail for the seventh Jade Permit had gone cold.

But Lily Bai had a gut feeling it wasn’t that simple.

Whether at Lord Sky Xiao’s place or here with her brother, everywhere was spotlessly clean—there wasn’t a single thing left that Jean Qiao had once used.

And even her death was suspiciously ‘clean’—she’d been swallowed whole by a giant sea beast...

This made Lily suspect someone was deliberately erasing every trace that could lead to her.

“Are you looking for my sister for some particular reason?” Jean’s brother asked.

Lily Bai paused, then said, “We’re searching for something that should have been in her hands.”

“Oh...” Her brother shook his head. “That demon whale swallowed her whole! Even if you cut open its belly, I doubt anything would be left.”

The two exchanged a glance, and Lily Bai asked, “Do you know which sea the demon whale usually hangs out in?”

“Up north. Lots of people have seen it there.”

So the two of them headed straight for the northern seas.

Lily Bai used the Qilin Clan’s tracking arts and quickly locked onto their target.

Then Azure Flame shrank herself and dove right into its belly.

Lily Bai waited for what felt like forever until Azure Flame finally emerged.

She was holding three or four Storage Pouches, each in a different state of decay.

Opening them one by one, they found a Jade Permit inside one of the pouches.

It was exactly the same size as the other six Jade Permits Lord Sky Xiao had.

Only the edges were a bit corroded.

They could hardly believe their eyes and activated the Jade Permit together to check.

It really was Emperor Ray Quinn’s seventh Jade Permit!

And at the end, there was actually something about the Void Gate.

In the Jade Permit, Emperor Ray Quinn received an insight at the Black-and-White Origin Lotus and went to the Primeval Demon Wilds.

And by coincidence, he went to the very place where Azure Flame and Bones had lived for tens of thousands of years.

That crushing, sealed ravine: Primeval Abyss Gorge.

No one knows what he found there, but he and the Fiend Princess went together to the Void Gate.

Luckily, at the end he explained: “Primeval Abyss Gorge is a sealed place. The seal is so powerful it even surpasses the Primordial Lotus Energy. I suspect this force doesn’t come from the Lotus Realm, and only space-jumping can get you inside. Once in, I obtained a mysterious Runic Glyph. It acts like a key to the Void Gate, and I could read its sigils. They say the Void Gate is not a door, but it’s still a door, and it can…”

Right at that moment, the recording blurred and abruptly cut off.

It was probably because the Jade Permit was damaged.

But the information inside was already very clear.

In Primeval Abyss Gorge, you can enter by space-jumping, and then obtain the key to open the Void Gate...

Space-jumping is impossible for the Divine Race of the Lotus Realm.

But beings from other worlds can do it.

For example, Sean Shaw’s fish.

Lily Bai immediately used a Messenger Charm to tell Sean Shaw about this.

After she finished speaking with Sean Shaw, Azure Flame was nowhere to be seen.

She used a Messenger Charm to look for her, and Azure Flame replied that she had gone back to the Radiant Palace.

Lily Bai frowned deeply.

...

Sean Shaw and Lily Bai returned once again to Primeval Abyss Gorge.

They arrived outside the cave where Azure Flame and Bones had once lived.
