Battle with Dominic Du

12/19/2025

"You know the cosmic laws of the Five Elements Universe are incomplete?" Joe Di stared at Dominic Du in shock. He had always believed that no one else knew this secret—until he shattered the Chaos Gate and the truth was revealed to all. Yet Dominic Du had known all along, a clear sign that he had never intended to do what Joe Di had done.

Dominic Du snorted coldly, his gaze toward Joe Di growing frosty. "It's fortunate I encountered you here. If I had waited any longer, your strength might soon rival mine, and even if I found you then, I would be powerless against you. You even know about the Chaos Gate—clearly, your cultivation has reached a certain level. I suspect you've just achieved Realm Genesis. But it's a pity you chose to forge your realm in the Five Elements Universe. You have squandered the brilliance of The Vanished One. Luckily, you met me now. I can restore The Vanished One to its former glory, and I will prove this in the Genesis Universe."

"I'm asking you a question," Joe Di's voice was icy cold.

Dominic Du raised his hand, casting several array flags to seal the space he controlled. Joe Di even knew of the Chaos Gate, so Dominic Du feared Joe Di might truly have the power to escape—especially with the Cosmic Vortex present here.

Dominic Du paid no heed to Joe Di's tone. To him, nothing could provoke his anger except matters concerning his own Dao.

"That's right. The cosmic laws and ninety percent of the Chaos Essence in the Five Elements Universe were separated and suppressed by Sean Chen from the Octaform Universe, using the Oath Platform. I don't possess a Rift Dao Token, so I have no idea where the Chaos Gate is located," Dominic Du replied calmly.

"Is your Dao incomplete?" Joe Di asked, his eyes filled with doubt as he looked at Dominic Du.

Would someone cultivating an incomplete Dao possess such a harmonious Dao aura as Dominic Du?

Dominic Du spoke indifferently, "I've nearly mastered the entire Primeval Dao Principle of the Five Elements Universe. Dividing the cosmic laws of the Five Elements Universe is meaningless to me."

Hearing Dominic Du's matter-of-fact tone, Joe Di felt nothing but contempt. This man was far too selfish—perhaps even the destruction of the Five Elements Universe would mean nothing to him.

The fourth and fifth strikes formed almost simultaneously, unleashing blade auras nearly ten thousand feet long, surging forth in a torrent and exploding with fragments of Blade Dao Principles.

Dominic Du’s domain shattered inch by inch. Not only his domain—even those array flags could not restrain Joe Di in the slightest.

Joe Di had no intention of fleeing. On the contrary, the sixth blade surged forth as well. Try to suppress him with Dao resonance? Joe Di had never been threatened by anyone of the same realm. Although Dominic Du was at Realm Fusion and he was at Realm Creation, even if these realms were fundamentally different, to Joe Di, they were both the Third Step.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Blade waves roared and surged, as if the Vast Chaos split open once more, transforming into boundless great cosmic worlds.

Dominic Du’s eyes narrowed, and the Creation Wheel in his hand grew even more dazzling. He hadn’t expected that Joe Di, a cultivator who had just stepped into the Realm Creation stage, would not be cowed by his Dao resonance. Truly, he was bold beyond measure.

The reverse vortex radiance seemed to form a new chaos. Within this new chaos, everything appeared to begin anew. Yet this reverse vortex radiance did not block Joe Di’s Triple Loom; instead, it was frantically spiraling backward.

With each backward spiral of the vortex radiance, its brilliance dimmed a little. Likewise, the might of Joe Di’s blade wave diminished by a tenth each time. In just a few breaths, his blade wave, which had reached nearly ten thousand feet, was compressed to only two or three thousand feet—and still falling rapidly.

Not only was the blade wave falling, its power was weakening as well. The surging, authentic celestial momentum was gone; nothing would be reduced to dust now.

Joe Di stared at the reversing vortex radiance, a chill running through his heart.

He had encountered countless methods to block his Time's Third Loom, most of which relied on forcibly constructing defensive walls. When his cultivation was lower, such barriers were somewhat effective. But as his strength grew, these obstacles became laughable.

Any divine ability or artifact defense wall is tangible, but his Time's Third Loom is a time-space divine ability. This power is not merely a superficial wave, but a blade wave accumulated from time and space themselves. No tangible thing can block time and space.

Today, Joe Di finally encountered a true expert who could use time-space divine ability to block his Time's Third Loom—Dominic Du.

When Dominic Du’s wheel spun, it seemed to reclaim all time and space, reversing time and erasing space.

It was precisely for this reason that his Time's Third Loom vanished without a trace.

Joe Di roared in fury, wielding the Azure Veil Blade once again. The sixth and seventh blades struck out simultaneously. Dominic Du’s time-space divine ability was formidable, but Joe Di was not one to be underestimated.

With the sixth and seventh blades combined, the blade wave surged to nearly one hundred thousand feet, crashing down with overwhelming force.

In that instant, time froze, and space was enveloped by the blade wave, leaving not even the slightest gap.

Though the Azure Veil Blade had not yet fully matured, it was far stronger than any blade Joe Di had wielded before. With his cultivation having ascended several levels, the seventh blade now unleashed power many times greater than before.

The aura of death pressed down, and Dominic Du’s expression changed yet again.

He wasn’t worried that Joe Di would kill him; rather, he realized that the Lost Dao Principle was now completely beyond his reach. With Joe Di so formidable, even if he wasn’t his match, he could not do anything to Joe Di. If he couldn’t subdue Joe Di, how could he ever hope to seize the Lost Dao Principle from him? That was nothing but a dream.

After all his years of scheming and patience, to have it all ruined by an ant—Dominic Du was consumed by rage and unwillingness.

Suddenly, the Creation Wheel in his hand expanded, growing to tens of thousands of feet in diameter. At the same time, Dominic Du roared, "Begone! Begone! Dust returns to dust, earth returns to earth—Creation Wheel, shatter for me!"

Boom! Crack!

This chaos space exploded with endless fragments of Dao Principles. The terrifying shards nearly swallowed the cosmic vortex that had just erupted nearby.

Bang! Even though Joe Di unleashed his seventh blade wave, under the terrifying reverse vortex radiance of the Creation Wheel, it instantly collapsed, like water splashed onto flames—vanishing as time-space returned before his eyes.

The violent Dao resonance rebounded, leaving Joe Di’s chest tight and stifled. He resisted the urge to retreat, gripping the Azure Veil Blade even tighter. If time-space divine ability wouldn’t work, then brute force would have to do.

Dominic Du didn’t fare much better than Joe Di, despite the counterattack. His Reincarnation Bridge may have returned Joe Di’s Time's Third Loom to dust and earth, but he too was struck by the time-space divine ability, forcing him to swallow a mouthful of reversed blood. Only the giant tree behind him scattered countless green dots onto his head, instantly restoring his aura.

Joe Di stared blankly at the patch of green above Dominic Du’s head, a strange sense of amusement rising within him.
