What's Going On Today
The two chatted as they walked in together, then stood side by side in front of the furnace, watching Mr. Wayne start up the forge.
The sword-forging area was actually quite spacious.
But the space for bystanders was anything but roomy.
Grace was blocked by the two big guys in front, anxiously pacing back and forth: "Move over! Let me see!"
The two turned to look at her, and, as if on cue, both shifted closer to the middle, making room on either side.
Evan Xiao: "Come here."
Minister Zhuo: "Come over this way!"
After they spoke, both paused, exchanging a look.
Normally, they'd politely smile and one of them would step aside.
But... oddly enough, both of them stayed put, not saying a word.
Grace felt a wave of awkwardness wash over her out of nowhere.
With her dad standing right there, how could she just dash over to Evan Xiao?
But if she went to her dad instead, Evan Xiao would definitely get all petty about it...
After a moment of inner struggle, she wedged herself between them, claiming the middle spot.
Both men shuffled to the sides, silent as ever.
"Is the sword ready, Mr. Wayne?" Grace called out.
"Miss Lawrence, you can start the forge now," Mr. Wayne said seriously.
Grace drew a deep breath, steadying her nerves. "Alright, let's do this," she declared.
Mr. Wayne opened the Master's Forge.
A loud bang echoed through the forge.
