Angela Ma Is Bullied

1/4/2026

Cecilia Gu listened as Charles Yin explained that Grandma Yin must have known about Angela Ma all along. Unable to hold back, she asked, "If Grandma knows, why hasn't she exposed her?"

Charles Yin gave a little laugh and shook his head. "How could she ever let my mother get her hands on that kind of leverage? The more scandals May Yan has, the worse it is—not just for Ethan Yin, but for the whole Yin Family. After all, Ethan is still one of us."

Cecilia thought it over for a moment and quickly understood the tangled web of interests at play.

Exactly. Compared to the Yin Family’s reputation, someone like Angela Ma barely matters at all.

"Besides, hasn’t the Yin Family already decided not to give Ethan Yin any shares or a seat on the board? He’s broke now, too. So how could he possibly inherit anything or join the board?" Cecilia couldn’t help but ask, curiosity getting the better of her.

"If I die, and if the baby you’re carrying is gone, he’ll be the legitimate heir to the Yin Family. At that point, what could possibly be out of his reach?" Charles said lightly.

Cecilia’s face went pale in an instant.

Seeing Cecilia’s reaction, Charles couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Only then did Cecilia realize what he was up to. She reached out and pinched Charles’s ear, saying, "You’re messing with me!"

Charles snorted with laughter. "You’re just too gullible!"

It was only now that Cecilia realized: Ethan Yin wanting to take action against Charles Yin was nothing but wishful thinking.

Let alone Charles Yin having so many assistants and bodyguards around him—even in a one-on-one fight, Ethan Yin probably couldn’t even hold his own!

Since he can't hurt Charles Yin, does that mean he'd hurt himself instead?

That wouldn’t work either. Even if something really happened to him, Charles would just lose an heir—the Yin Group wouldn’t be affected at all.

So, there must be another way!

Charles watched Cecilia’s expressions shift from anger to confusion and then to puzzlement, and for a moment, he found his little mouse absolutely adorable.

He reached out and gently tapped Cecilia’s nose, reminding her, "You have to understand, the Yin Group isn’t the whole Yin Family. The Yin Group is just one part of it."

Cecilia seemed to understand something, yet also felt like she understood nothing at all.

She looked at Charles in confusion. "So—?"

"So, during this period, Ethan Yin will be desperately short of money, and then desperately searching for it. At the end of the day, he’ll need to negotiate with Grandma. In the Yin Family, his only lifeline is Grandma. After everything that’s happened—his assets stolen, his recent defeats—Grandma will feel sorry for him and give him more benefits. Remember last time at Yin Manor, when he deliberately acted pitiful in front of us? The more he acts like that, the more Grandma pities him. And don’t forget, Grandma is the current Chairwoman. As long as she gives the nod, Ethan Yin can rise again."
