Something Happened

2/14/2026

These news stories come from all over.

Most of them spread across different forums, or through Weibo and QQ Space.

There are all kinds of photos, too many to count.

At first glance, it almost feels like a world straight out of a story novel.

But without exception, every news story and rumor appears online quickly—and disappears just as fast.

Usually, just one refresh and it’s gone completely.

"These things look like a bunch of hidden experts suddenly showing up everywhere. I wonder if Moonshade and Hidden Dragon know about any of this."

Evan Lin lounged on the sofa, scrolling through his iPad.

The news just kept coming.

Evan didn’t really care much.

A lot of the news stories in there—any expert who’s reached the Pointing-to-Mystery Realm could pull them off.

As for those stories about skinny kids suddenly getting super strength, that’s not even a big deal.

From the outside, Evan Lin looks like he’d fit right in with the skinny-kid crowd.

But when it comes to strength, he’s on a whole other level.

"I think this would make some pretty great material. If you filmed a movie about it, it might actually have a market."

Queenie Tong was flipping through her work documents while chatting with Evan.

Yvette Locke was asleep in the bedroom.

She was probably right at the edge of a breakthrough—her Fire-Spirit Mortal Body could turn into a Fire-Spirit Divine Body any day now.

So she’d been extra sleepy lately.

"If you want to try making a movie, go for it."

Evan glanced at her. "Making movies is probably a lot more fun than your current job."

"I was just saying. I have zero interest in making movies."

Queenie shook her head. "If you actually became a celebrity, you’d be living under spotlights all day—no real freedom. Sure, it looks glamorous, but it’s exhausting."

"Not interested at all."

Evan ignored her and kept flipping through the news.

After glancing at a few more headlines, he set the iPad aside.

"I’m heading back to Harborview in a few days. If anything comes up here, just call me."

Evan was just about to say something else.

His phone rang.

He picked it up—Warren Wu was calling.
