Revival

Gavin White lowered her head and said softly, "Yes, I'm already carrying his child."

Having a child out of wedlock is common among cultivators. Brandon White was not an inflexible man; he simply asked calmly, "So you've decided to give birth to the child?"

"Yes, I've already made up my mind," Gavin nodded.

"I see. Go on, go tell him," Brandon said after a moment's thought. But Gavin shook her head, "I don't plan to tell him for now. It all happened so suddenly, I just can't bring myself to say it."

"So you plan to keep it hidden forever?" Brandon couldn't guess what his daughter was thinking. Gavin replied, "We'll see. If there's a chance, I'll tell him. If not, then so be it."

"You... sigh, fine, it's your decision. I won't interfere anymore," Brandon said helplessly. He stood up, glanced at his daughter, and added, "I'm going to be away for a while. During this time, I'll have the Right Protector handle sect affairs for you. Go take care of your own matters."

"The Right Protector? He's back?" Gavin asked in suspicion.

"Yes, I just got the news. He'll be here in a few days. Go—do what you want to do. Don't stay trapped in Medicine King Heaven any longer," Brandon said, looking at his only daughter. He knew well how much she had endured for his sake.

Gavin nodded, then left the rear hall. After changing clothes, she returned to the front and stood atop the main hall, gazing out over Medicine King Heaven. In her heart, she wondered, "Should I go find him?"

Meanwhile, Evan Yang arrived at the Poison Alchemist's door. He was here for a certain poison pill described in the Poison Canon. As soon as he arrived, the Poison Alchemist, his face haggard, greeted him with delight and pulled Evan inside.

"You finally came," the Poison Alchemist said with a smile.

"What happened to you? Why do you look so haggard?" Evan asked curiously.

"Don't mention it. It's all because of refining that poison gall. It drained a lot of my strength, and now I'm just one step away from success. Can you help me?" The Poison Alchemist looked at Evan.

"Haven't you already refined it? How do you want me to help?" Evan asked suspiciously.

"Just use that fire-gathering method of yours, the one that can concentrate flames. Help me bake it for an hour, that's all I need," said the Poison Alchemist.

Evan thought for a moment, then said, "Alright, but you have to tell me where you got that page of the Alchemy Canon Chapter. Deal?"

The Poison Alchemist was surprised by Evan's question. "You're interested in the Poison Canon Chapter too?"

"Yeah, the more I know, the better I'll be at dealing with poisons in the future, right?" Evan replied.

The Poison Alchemist thought for a moment, then said, "Alright, I'll tell you."

"Alright, I'll help you now," Evan said with a smile. He began setting up the fire-gathering array around the furnace. Soon, flames gathered and started burning. The Poison Alchemist, watching eagerly from the side, prayed that it wouldn't fail.

Time passed bit by bit. After an hour, Evan withdrew the flames as instructed by the Poison Alchemist. The Poison Alchemist fiddled with the furnace for a while longer, then finally laughed, "Done! Thank you so much this time."

"You're welcome. Now, aren't you supposed to tell me where the Poison Canon Chapter came from?" Evan said with a smile.

"Is that so? Seems I've forgotten," the Poison Alchemist replied with a grin. Evan hadn't expected him to go back on his word and frowned, "You...?"

"Sorry, I've sold you out. Can't help it—everyone wants your real pill-refining technique," the Poison Alchemist said with a smile. At that moment, a barrier appeared around them—it was the Poison Alchemist's poison barrier.

The Poison Alchemist then took the finished pill and left the room. Evan watched his retreating figure and snorted coldly, "Damn it, he actually set me up."

Evan immediately gathered his power and shattered the barrier. After stepping outside, he saw the Poison Alchemist had already brought the Strange Alchemist over.

"So you two were in on this together?" Evan frowned when he saw the Strange Alchemist had arrived as well.

The Poison Alchemist was surprised to see Evan walk out unharmed from his barrier. "You actually came out without a scratch?"

"What, were you hoping I'd be hurt?" Evan sneered. At this moment, the Strange Alchemist spoke, "Kid, I told you—no matter the cost, you must die. Especially now, I'm going to kill you myself."

Right now, the Strange Alchemist just wanted to kill Evan quickly before the sect master noticed. As his powerful attack swept toward Evan, a figure blocked it—it was Gavin White.

"Sect master!" The Strange Alchemist hadn't expected the sect master to arrive so quickly, and Evan was equally surprised that Gavin White appeared just in time.

"Go!" Gavin said to Evan. Hearing this, Evan realized Gavin was the sect master here—his life was safe, but if he stayed, he might be in real danger. He remembered today's events and told the Poison Alchemist and Strange Alchemist, "You two, just wait. Next time I come back, it'll be the day your lives end."

With that, Evan flashed away, vanishing from Medicine King Heaven. The Poison Alchemist stood there, bewildered, while the Strange Alchemist was held back by Gavin.

Once Evan had disappeared, Gavin snorted coldly, "Today won't be forgotten. Be careful!" Then Gavin flashed away as well.

"Damn it, how did she show up?" The Strange Alchemist cursed after Gavin left.

The Poison Alchemist shook his head. "Too scary. That kid... will he come back for revenge next time?"

"Have you gone stupid from pill refining? What strength does he have? Do you really think he can defeat a Heavenly Dao powerhouse like me?" The Strange Alchemist snorted.

"Maybe, but I should be more careful in the future. That kid is really something—even my poisons don't work on him," the Poison Alchemist muttered.

Evan's escape left the Strange Alchemist in a foul mood. He snorted, "That only proves your pills aren't poisonous enough," then stormed off.

After Evan left, he headed straight for the Chaos World. The Fire Beast appeared, and on its back were Yang Huo and the others. Yang Huo was excited as he came out, "Finally, we can go back and save my mother. Dad, you're amazing! I wonder how that Strange Alchemist is doing?"

"He's very strong. I almost fell into his trap just now—if the sect master hadn't stopped him and told me to leave," Evan replied.

"Your sect master sure treats you well. To show up so quickly, it's like she's your savior," Yang Huo said.

"Yeah, but I'll definitely come back here," Evan said, thinking about the Poison Canon Chapter. He wouldn't rest until he got answers, but not now—he planned to head to Lingku Cave first.

Hearing Evan say he'd return, Yang Huo and the others clamored to come back too. Facing the three girls, Evan felt a headache coming; each of them spoke up, nearly drowning him out. Little did they know, someone was following them from afar in a flying artifact.

That person was none other than Gavin White. She had planned to catch up with Evan and explain everything, but seeing so many women around him, she hesitated. Unsure of their identities, she decided to stay hidden for now.

Evan had no idea a Heavenly Dao powerhouse was following him, and he kept joking with Yang Huo and the others.

When everyone arrived at the Fire Phoenix's world-realm, they quickly found her. Lady Phoenix was shocked to see Evan and the others return. "You came back?"

"Mother, look, what is this?" Yang Huo asked, holding out the pill and smiling at his mother.

Lady Phoenix looked at it and asked, "Is this the antidote for the Sky-Severing Talisman?"

"Yes, that's right—my father refined it. Hurry and take it!" Yang Huo said excitedly. Lady Phoenix looked at Evan and the others, saw their smiles, and unlocked her body. Her statue revived and became a real person before everyone. However, she was still poisoned by the Sky-Severing Talisman; fully reviving was impossible. If the pill was truly the antidote, she might come back to life.

She swallowed the pill, and soon a warm current surged through her body, breaking through the strange poison suppressed within. Yang Huo watched Lady Phoenix and asked, "Mother, how are you?"

"Yes, it's slowly working. You should all leave this space for now—I worry the power of my rebirth might be too strong and hurt you," Lady Phoenix said.

Everyone nodded and left Lady Phoenix's space. As they exited, they felt a huge surge of energy erupt underwater. The surface rippled with giant waves, thundering upwards toward the sky.

Everyone in the sky was shocked by the scene, especially Yang Huo, who was the most excited—he could finally see his reborn mother.

Time passed bit by bit until the water finally calmed down.

Yang Huo was about to rush down to see what happened when a woman flew out from beneath the water—it was the same woman from the statue.

The woman smiled in satisfaction. Yang Huo rushed over, hugged her tightly, and cried with excitement, "Mother, I finally get to see you!"

"Good boy, with so many people watching, do you want them to laugh at us?" Lady Phoenix said with a smile.

"I don't care. Anyway, they all know who I am," Yang Huo said, refusing to let go.

"You, you," Lady Phoenix said helplessly.

Seeing Lady Phoenix revived, Evan finally completed his task. Lady Phoenix stepped forward and said, "Thank you for taking care of her along the way."

"It's what I should do," Evan replied.

"I'm planning to take her somewhere. You don't mind, do you?" Although Yang Huo was her own daughter, Lady Phoenix knew Yang Huo and Evan were very close. She worried that taking Yang Huo away suddenly might upset Evan or her daughter, so she asked.

Evan asked curiously, "Oh? Where to?"

Yang Huo immediately let go and said, "Where are we going?"
