Chloe Zhu cluelessly picked up a piece of salted egg yolk pumpkin for Colin Gu, telling him this dish was especially delicious and asking him to try it.

Since the Imperial Kitchen rarely made such homestyle dishes, Colin Gu had actually never tasted it before.

He tried a bite, but immediately spit it out and rinsed his mouth with three cups of water.

She kept eating, mouthful after mouthful.

She was totally focused on her food, like a bottomless pit.

Colin Gu picked up some food for her, and she stood up to thank him, "Thank you, Your Majesty."

"I remember you like this dish. I specially asked the Imperial Kitchen to make it for you," Colin Gu said with a smile. "Try it."

Chloe Zhu tasted it and nodded, "The Imperial Kitchen's food is always the best. What we have at home is nowhere near as good!"

"Then eat more," Colin Gu replied.

"Okay!" Chloe Zhu grinned. "Your Majesty and Empress Wendy have been married for half a year now. When are you going to give us a little prince? I can't wait to be an aunt!"

Colin Gu's smile faded a little. "Let nature take its course!" he said.

Wendy Zhu just smiled and said nothing.

After lunch, Grace Wan said she and Wendy Zhu had some things to discuss, and told Chloe Zhu to rest for a bit and leave later.

Wendy Zhu also arranged for her to stay in the usual guest room she used when visiting the palace, so she could nap.

Chloe Zhu had gotten up before dawn to come to the palace today, so she was really tired and planned to take a nap.

But just as she lay down, she suddenly saw a little head pop up outside the window sill.

She immediately sprang up and rushed over, shouting, "Cutie Pie? How did you get here?"

Cutie Pie jumped into her arms and nuzzled her affectionately.

"Did you come looking for me?" Chloe Zhu asked happily.

He nodded.

"Wow! You're amazing! You even found me in the palace!"

He grinned, as if he were laughing.

"Where have you been these past few days? Do you know the nanny and everyone else was worried sick about you!" Chloe Zhu said with a hint of scolding in her voice.

He blinked innocently, looking totally guiltless.

Chloe Zhu's heart instantly melted. She kissed him and said, "Next time, if you leave, you have to tell us, okay?"

He blinked again.

"Hmm... Oh, you can't talk, huh! How about this—if you want to leave, just make a circle, head to tail." Chloe Zhu put his head and tail together. "Like this, okay?"

So silly!

The Antler Serpent looked at her, clearly annoyed.

"I really wonder, how do you always find me?" Chloe Zhu muttered. "Last time in the Eastern Wilderness Forest, I was up in the mountains and you just showed up... Are you like a dog or something, tracking me by scent?"

Evan Xiao opened his mouth and bit her—just a little nip.

Chloe Zhu burst out laughing...

She was still laughing when Hope and Claire called out from the door, "Greetings, Your Majesty!"

Your Majesty?

Chloe Zhu frowned, stuffed the Antler Serpent into her pocket, and lay down pretending to sleep.

"You may leave now," Colin Gu's voice said.

"Um... Your Majesty, are you looking for our young lady?" Claire asked. "Shall I go in and call her for you?"

"No need. You may leave," Colin Gu replied.
