Jill Evans Files a Complaint
Xiao Yun touched his nose and smiled, tacitly agreeing.
Everyone in the organization knew that Luoluo was rescued by Xiao Zetian and Xiao Yun when they went to save Su Lanxiang. At that time, Xiao Zetian naturally didn't bother paying attention to other women in the room, so he never mentioned that Luoluo was defiled by that fat man.
Xiao Yun was even more tight-lipped about this matter and never mentioned it to anyone.
And Luoluo herself was too young to understand what had happened.
"It's good that she’s following Mudan. Although Mudan is strict, she has a warm heart and will surely teach Luoluo well," Xiao Yun said. "If the Xiao family’s secret guards aren’t skilled enough, not only will their own lives be at risk during missions, but they’ll also endanger others. Tell someone to give my message to Mudan to be especially strict with her—that’s for her own survival," Xiao Yun added.
"Yes, Commander, Lingdang has noted it," Lingdang said with a smile, leaning in. "But the little girl keeps thinking about her big brother. Commander, aren’t you going to check on her?"
Xiao Yun saw Lingdang suddenly lean in and instinctively stepped back a few paces, touching his nose. "Maybe later... I’m a bit tied up right now. The number of investigators sent by Prince Ling is increasing, so I have to be careful."
After instructing Lingdang, Xiao Yun left on his own. Recently, he had orders from Xiao Zetian to deal with Prince Ling, so he often went out.
Just as Xiao Yun reached the door, he saw Yindou covering her face, crying loudly and running into the house, seemingly very aggrieved.
Following Yindou were Li Huahua and Guyu, two little girls with looks full of righteous indignation.
"The madam said the roast duck is ready in the kitchen and called you all to eat. Oh, Yindou, why are you crying? Who bullied you?" Bailu asked upon seeing Yindou crying just as she finished speaking.
Yindou sobbed and greeted Bailu, then pitifully headed toward the kitchen.
Lingdang saw Yindou heading to the kitchen and thought, "General Xiao and the general's wife are in the kitchen being affectionate; they must not be disturbed." So she immediately went around to stop Yindou.
"Miss Yindou, who bullied you? Tell Lingdang, and I'll get back at them for you," Lingdang quickly wiped Yindou’s tears.
Yindou sobbed, choking on her words, unable to speak.
Nearby, Li Huahua angrily complained, "Just now, Guyu, Yindou, and I were building a snowman together. We were having so much fun and made such a big snowman! But Zhang Zhaocai and some boys from the village rushed over and kicked our snowman down!"
"Exactly! That huge snowman took us so long to build, and our hands were all red from the cold!" Guyu added, holding out her hand, which was indeed red and chapped. "We were so upset that we asked them why they destroyed our snowman. Zhang Zhaocai said he didn’t like it and destroyed it on purpose. Then he said he wanted to have a snowball fight with us. We didn’t want to play with them, but they blocked us and insisted. There were only three of us girls, but Zhang Zhaocai brought seven or eight boys. We couldn’t win the snowball fight; they pelted us with snow all over! Miss Yindou even got hit so hard she fell down, saying her butt hurt!"
Poor Yindou rubbed her little bottom pitifully, pouting in grievance, "My poor butt is all bruised into eight parts! Wuwuwu, my big snowman is gone!"
Listening to the kids accusing each other one after another, Lingdang rubbed her head. Although Lingdang was young and also a child, she had been trained in the organization since she was little, so her mind was not that of a typical little girl.
Now surrounded by a group of kids complaining about their fights, Lingdang felt like her head was about to explode.
If it were about killing, Lingdang was an expert. But for a petty fight between two groups of village kids that ended with a broken snowman and a lost snowball fight, she couldn’t possibly slaughter those little rascals, right?
