Accidentally Eating Heat‑Triggering Meat and the Fiend Realm’s Customs
The little boy nodded. As Nina Ye began to lose consciousness, not even aware of what she was doing, Evan Yang quickly sealed her cultivation and took her away from the street, following the boy all the way.
Eventually, they arrived at a shabby little house. No one was inside, just a few basic household items and a bed.
Evan laid Nina Ye on the bed. Seeing her flushed all over and unable to move, Evan asked, "What exactly is going on?"
"Did she eat Green Meat and Hundred-Flower Meat?" the boy asked.
"Yeah, how did you know?" Evan asked curiously.
"Because eating those two meats makes you go into heat, especially for women. As for you, you probably didn't eat them, right?" The boy explained after Evan confirmed.
When Evan heard 'in heat' and thought about Nina Ye's actions earlier, he got goosebumps. Luckily the boy showed up in time, otherwise who knows what Nina Ye might have done.
"Thanks. I'll see if I can clear that out." Evan had actually eaten the meat too, but his body was special—basically immune to all poisons. Right now, he planned to use his spiritual energy to treat Nina Ye.
The boy stood by, watching curiously. Evan placed his hand on Nina Ye's forehead and directly injected his spiritual power through it.
The boy, watching from the side, was amazed as Evan's spiritual power flowed into Nina Ye's forehead. After a while, Nina Ye's face gradually returned to normal and her mind cleared. Seeing Evan's hand on her forehead, she exclaimed, "What are you doing?"
Once Evan saw Nina Ye regain consciousness, he lifted the seal on her body and explained what had just happened.
After hearing the explanation, Nina Ye angrily got up, wanting to confront the restaurant owner.
But the boy said, "It's pointless. This is normal here. Most people eat those two things to chase that special feeling—you just didn't notice."
Nina Ye blushed and said, "I didn't know eating those would do this. But how come you're fine, kid?" She glanced curiously at Evan Yang.
Evan smiled, "I can detoxify poisons, remember? As soon as I noticed, I cleared it out."
After hearing Evan's explanation, Nina remembered how he had detoxified her arm before, and now again just cleared this effect. She stopped doubting him and instead complained, "If I'd known, I wouldn't have eaten those two things. I almost embarrassed myself just now."
"Big sister, what did you see just now?" the boy suddenly asked, curious.
Nina Ye blushed even more. "How do you know I saw anything?"
"Of course. After eating that stuff, everyone goes into a dazed state and sees whoever they most want to see." The boy grinned.
"How do you know?" Nina Ye's face was red, but she secretly cursed herself for those images she saw—maybe she really wanted them. She glanced at Evan Yang out of the corner of her eye, and relaxed when he didn't press her about it.
The boy said, "I heard it from adults."
Nina Ye thanked him, "Really, thank you. Where are your parents?"
"I'm alone," the boy said, suddenly quiet.
Evan Yang and Nina Ye exchanged a look, realizing the boy was an orphan. They felt deeply sorry for him.
"Sorry, I didn't know," Nina Ye said awkwardly.
"It's fine, I'm used to it. Big brother, can you teach me cultivation?" The boy saw how easily Evan had revived Nina Ye and realized he must be extraordinary, so he asked sincerely.
"Teach you cultivation?" Evan hadn't expected to run into something like this in this realm.
"Yeah. My parents were killed when I was little, so I want revenge. But I don't know anything, so I'm begging you to teach me. I want to avenge them." The boy told his story.
When Evan heard the boy's parents had been murdered, he suddenly saw his own past. If he hadn't met Li Yizi, who led him into Rising Sun Sect, he wouldn't have his present.
Without hesitation, Evan agreed with a smile, "Alright, but cultivation is tough. I can only teach you the basics and share my insights. The rest is up to you."
"Thank you, big brother!" the boy said happily.
Nina Ye noticed a flash of killing intent in Evan Yang's eyes, as if he wanted to kill someone. But the target clearly wasn't the boy—so who was it?
Evan smiled, then asked the boy to tell him about the Fiend Realm and his own background.
The boy's name was Derek. His parents were just ordinary folks—miners—but their clan had them killed. Derek even witnessed his parents' execution. Over the years, many tried to help him, but once they heard his story, most avoided him, not wanting to offend that clan.
That clan isn't particularly big in the Fiend Realm, but it's well-known in this city, which is called Floating Sky City.
It's the city closest to the Human World. All the other cities here float in this space, and their sizes vary. According to Derek, there are at least tens of thousands of such cities in this realm, plus several hundred large cities.
There's only one power here: Fiend Palace, which rules over all the cities.
"Fiend Palace? Sounds impressive, managing the whole Fiend Realm. If the Human World had a Human Palace running everything, that'd be pretty powerful too," Evan muttered.
"Hey, get your head out of the clouds," Nina Ye pulled Evan back from his wild imagination.
"It's nothing, just wondering how big the Fiend Realm really is, and what connection it has to our Human World," Evan muttered.
"Alright, just stop overthinking. If it's such a big deal, we should just ask the Elder. If he could bring us here, he definitely knows what the Fiend Realm is all about," Nina Ye muttered.
Derek had actually realized early on that the two were from the Human World, not his realm, so he explained everything carefully, afraid they wouldn't understand.

"Is your Human World fun?" Derek asked curiously.
"Our Human World is great! We have daytime and night—much better than here," Nina Ye laughed.
Derek didn't know what daytime or night meant, so he couldn't understand. Nina Ye and Evan Yang didn't know how to explain it either.
They tried to say 'light' meant colorless brightness, and 'night' was darkness.
After a long explanation, Derek finally understood. His eyes lit up and he really wanted to go see it, but remembering his revenge, he said, "Master, please teach me."
Evan hadn't expected Derek to call him 'master' so soon, so he taught him the simplest cultivation method to start with. Nina Ye also gave Derek her own basic technique.
Just like that, Evan became the senior master, and Nina Ye became the junior master.
Nina Ye stubbornly insisted on being the senior master, but Derek only wanted Evan Yang to be the senior. Watching a grown woman and a kid bicker, Evan could only laugh to himself.
Just then, a man who looked like a thug walked in, holding an axe.
The playful mood between Nina Ye and Derek instantly stopped, and Evan Yang turned his attention to the man.
Seeing the thug, Derek quickly stood beside Evan and called, "Senior Master."
"Who is he?" Evan ignored the thug and asked Derek directly.
"He's from that clan—they sent him to torment me." Derek rolled up his sleeve, revealing numerous scars.
Seeing this, Nina Ye's tough but soft heart exploded. She punched the thug, sending both him and his axe flying. Soon, a crowd gathered to watch.
The thug had some strength, barely managed to get up, bloodied all over. He cursed at the house, "You brat! Bringing outsiders here—I'll skin you alive!" Then he disappeared into the crowd.
The crowd realized the man and woman were helping Derek, so they helplessly dispersed.
"Why didn't you say something earlier? If you had, I would've killed him as soon as he walked in," Nina Ye said gently, looking at Derek's scars.
"I was afraid you'd think I'm too weak and wouldn't want to take me in, so I didn't dare say anything," Derek admitted. He worried his injuries made him look pathetic, that even a thug could hurt him, so he hid the truth out of innocence.
Hearing this, Evan Yang and Nina Ye both felt something indescribable in their hearts.
Evan felt it even more. Seeing someone so much like himself, he knew he had to help. If he left now, Derek might not even survive.
He discussed it with Nina Ye, and when she heard Evan wanted to act, she was thrilled. "Alright, let's stir things up. I want to see what kind of clan dares treat ordinary people like this!"
"Let's go, Derek. Take us to that clan's place," Evan said with a smile.
Derek didn't answer right away. After a moment, he said, "I'm afraid they're too powerful. If you and junior master get involved, it might be trouble. Maybe we shouldn't."
"Don't worry. Let's check out their strength first. If they're really strong, we'll come up with another plan," Evan said, smiling at Derek's thoughtfulness.
Derek didn't really understand what Evan meant by 'another plan,' but he still followed his advice. He led Nina Ye and Evan Yang in the direction the thug had escaped.
On the way, Nina Ye's anger made people think her child had been bullied and she was out for revenge.
Evan Yang was much calmer, his spiritual sense locked onto the direction the thug had fled. Soon, the man left the city, flying through the air to a mansion not far away.
Many clans built mansions near the city, on giant stones formed by this special space. Only powerful clans could afford mansions outside the city, since these stones are rare—some natural, some man-made, requiring huge resources.
In other words, most cities and clan mansions in the Fiend Realm are built suspended in midair, wedged between three-colored spaces.
