Invitation from the Domain Lord

1/19/2026

After Evan Chu left, the girl beside Lynn Ling suddenly said, "Second Domain Lord, that guy clearly doesn't care much about our Dream Spirit Sanctuary. Honestly, I don't see what's so special about him, and I don't get why you and the Domain Lord are so interested in this person. Isn't he just a Da Luo Golden Immortal?"

Lynn Ling smiled and replied, "You're looking at things way too superficially. Do you even know who was sitting next to him when we came in just now? I was honestly shocked—I'll have to ask him about it if I ever get the chance."

Her words left the girl confused. "Wasn't Blazefire from the Martial Spirit Dominion sitting beside him? What's so strange about that? That guy just seems clueless to me."

"You're wrong. That man is hiding earth-shaking secrets. Just now, I saw Serena Frost—the Ice and Snow Immortal—sitting next to him. She hasn't shown her face in the Immortal Realm for tens of thousands of years. The rumor was she self-destructed after clashing with the Citus Immortal World. I thought she was dead, but apparently she's still alive." Lynn Ling said.

"Serena Frost? I didn't see her. Domain Lord, are you sure you weren't mistaken?" the girl asked.

"I wish I was mistaken, but that icy aura she gives off is unmistakable. Even though she changed her appearance, I recognized her instantly. You should know Serena Frost never interacts casually with men, yet she was calmly eating with him. What do you think that means?" Lynn Ling said.

"So you mean that guy is really close to Serena Frost, or maybe her showing up has something to do with him?" the girl blurted out, suddenly getting it.

"Looks like you're not as clueless as I thought. But here's the thing—when I looked at him, all I saw in his eyes was appreciation, not the usual lust men show when they see me. That means he's probably surrounded by beautiful women all the time, and beauty doesn't faze him anymore.

Especially that last thing he said before leaving—do you remember? He told me, 'You're as beautiful as Serena and Luna.' That wasn't just a random compliment." Lynn Ling said.

The girl fell silent, lost in thought. After a moment, she exclaimed, "Serena—I remember that's the Ice and Snow Immortal's real name, but not many people know it. And Luna, isn't that Yvonne Xuan? Both of them are among the Four Immortal Fairies, just as beautiful as you, Domain Lord."

"Exactly. For him to just casually use their real names means he's extremely close to both of them—maybe they're even Dao-partners. Remember, those two disappeared from the Immortal Realm for tens of thousands of years, and he only just ascended. There's got to be a huge secret behind all this.

And then there's his strength. He's a late-stage Da Luo Golden Immortal, but he managed to kill a mid-stage Immortal Lord. That's unheard of in the Immortal Realm. Just for that, our Dream Spirit Imperial Palace should do whatever it takes to recruit him, even if it means paying a steep price." Lynn Ling said seriously.

Her first impression of Evan Chu was that he was incredibly mysterious. She couldn't help but feel curious about him. Countless immortals in the Immortal Realm had chased after her, but she never cared. Yet Evan Chu's appearance left her with a feeling she couldn't describe—maybe it was love at first sight, though she herself didn't realize it yet.

Back in his room, Evan Chu also thought carefully about what Lynn Ling had said. Somehow, he'd become the target of several top factions all fighting to win him over. Maybe he'd really gone too far and brought this all on himself. If he messed up handling this, the consequences could be disastrous.

He knew perfectly well the rule of the Immortal Realm: if they can't have you, they'll destroy you. If he promised himself to any side, the others might try every trick in the book to kill him and remove the threat. Right now, his situation was seriously dangerous—and with his Chaos Immortal Force sealed, he bitterly regretted his earlier choices.

Evan Chu let out a long breath and forced a wry smile. "Forget it. Since I'm here, I might as well settle in. Whatever happens, I'll deal with it after the auction. If I really run into unavoidable danger, I'll just hide inside the Timewheel Bracelet. There's no way anyone in the Immortal Realm can break that treasure. If I have to, I'll cultivate inside for tens of thousands of years and only come out when nobody can threaten me anymore."

Thinking it through made Evan Chu feel a bit better. He checked in with his Immortal Infant and found out the seal wouldn't be lifted until after the auction, which left him thoroughly frustrated.

About two hours later, Blazefire and Roxanne Lin returned with the other women. The girls went straight to their own rooms, but Blazefire stormed into Evan Chu's room, face full of anger.

"Nothing happened on the way, right? Why do you look so pissed off? Who bullied you?" Evan Chu laughed.

"Those damn girls totally played me! They knew I was following them the whole time but pretended not to. They stirred up trouble nonstop—I nearly lost my mind." Blazefire grumbled.

"Oh? What did they do?" Evan Chu chuckled. Out of the three, Roxanne Lin and Serena Frost were usually well-behaved, but Macy Mei was a different story. She'd even disguised herself as Sima Jingyi to mess with him before—he almost punished her right on the spot back then.

"Whenever they saw a handsome young immortal, they tried to flirt. But as soon as the guy responded, they'd turn nasty and curse him out, making him so mad he almost started a fight. If I hadn't stepped in, it would've been chaos!

That's not even the worst part. You know what really got me? They said, 'Blazefire Immortal Lord, you must be the kid's bodyguard, right? He won't show his face but sends you to follow us. Did you fall for us sisters or something? Sorry, but we wouldn't go for someone like you. You should just go home—we don't need your protection.'" Blazefire said.

Evan Chu couldn't help laughing. "Blazefire, you really are unlucky—getting accused of being an old cow chasing tender grass. I won't send you out with them next time. I'm going to cultivate in my room for three days, so you go arrange the auction hall entry. I want a separate VIP room, not with you, no matter how many Immortal Stones it costs."

Blazefire didn't quite get what Evan Chu meant, but he figured there must be a reason. With all the secrets around Evan, it wasn't his place to ask, so he just said, "I'll let you know when it's ready," and left the room.

Not long after Roxanne Lin and the other two women returned to their room, there was a knock at the door. A female attendant outside said respectfully, "Ice and Snow Immortal, my Domain Lord requests your presence. Please follow me to the next room for a talk."

All three women were a bit surprised. None of them understood why Lynn Ling would act so directly, but she was an Immortal Emperor. For someone of her status to send a personal invitation was already giving them a lot of face—refusing would be extremely disrespectful and could have serious consequences.
