A powerful formation was activated, enveloping the entire villa.

Before leaving for Mesa City, Ian had set up a large formation around the villa. It only lacked the final step: placing a supreme-grade spirit crystal at a specific spot to activate it. He had told Lynn about this location and instructed her to trigger the formation if she ever faced danger.

The next morning.

Mesa City, Special Police Base, Minister's Office.

Ian looked at Hannah Han in her Special Police uniform and couldn't help but feel a headache. 'Miss Han, being a Special Police officer is tough. Are you sure about this?'

He had just arrived at work today when he received an order.

The higher-ups had arranged for a Special Police officer to report to him, and that officer was none other than Hannah Han, who had eaten dinner with him last night.

"Reporting in, Minister! I'm not afraid of hardship!" Hannah Han gave a crisp salute and answered clearly.

"Alright, if you’re not afraid of hardship, then I have nothing more to say!" Ian said helplessly, then called Leo Liao in and asked him to assign Hannah Han to Ryan Zhang’s First Battalion.

"Yes, Minister!"

Leo Liao, as the Minister's secretary, knew this female Special Police officer was no ordinary recruit—she'd been assigned directly by the Aries District.

Soon, Leo returned to report that he'd handed Hannah Han over to Ryan Zhang of the First Battalion.

"Alright, I got it. Go ahead and get back to work!"

Waving Leo away, Ian speculated about why Hannah Han had come here. He’d embarrassed her father before—was she here for revenge? Or to infiltrate and find his weaknesses?

But both possibilities seemed unlikely.

First, even her father couldn't do anything to him, so why would she think she could?

Second, if she wanted to infiltrate and gather evidence, she would hide her identity and act low-key.

But Ian knew her identity perfectly well—how could she possibly catch him off guard?

Rejecting those two possibilities, a third suddenly occurred to Ian: 'Could it be that this girl actually likes me?'

His Landon Lu persona was very handsome—even more so than his original self. Attracting girls' attention was only natural, so he couldn't rule out that possibility.

As the Minister’s secretary, Leo Liao was well aware that this female Special Police officer was no ordinary recruit—she’d been assigned directly by the Aries District.

Soon after, Leo returned to report that Hannah Han had already been handed over to Ryan Zhang of the First Battalion.

"Alright, I got it. Go ahead and get back to work!" Ian dismissed him casually.

Waving Leo away, Ian started speculating about Hannah Han’s real reason for coming here. Was she seeking revenge for her father’s humiliation, or trying to infiltrate and find his weaknesses?

But both possibilities seemed unlikely.

First, even her father couldn’t do anything to him—why would she think she could?

Second, if she wanted to infiltrate and collect evidence, she should be hiding her identity and acting low-key.

But Ian knew exactly who she was—there’s no way she could catch him off guard.

After ruling out those two, a third possibility popped into Ian’s mind: "Could this girl actually be interested in me?"

His Landon Lu persona was even more handsome than his real self, so it was perfectly normal for girls to notice him. He couldn’t rule it out.

If that was really the case, then Hannah Han was interesting—knowing she’d offended her own father, yet still daring to pursue him.

"Forget it, I’m too lazy to think about this!"

Shaking his head to clear away stray thoughts, Ian turned his mind to his cultivation.

Every night, he would enter the Divine Temple space to cultivate World-Shaping Avatar and Primal Heaven-Net Palm.

But after reaching Minor Achievement in World-Shaping Avatar, just grinding away brought little progress. So Ian focused on Primal Heaven-Net Palm—if he could master its Third Form, he should be able to shatter the vampire prince’s Domain Barrier completely.

If he guessed right, it wasn’t easy for the vampire prince Mason Hu to create such a Domain Barrier either.

To master the Third Form of Primal Heaven-Net Palm, he had to condense Primal True Power—a single piece of Primal Spirit Ore only produced one drop, and it took ten drops to use the Third Form once.

Without Primal Spirit Ore and the Divine Temple, just absorbing ambient Primal Energy would mean it’d take a hundred years to condense ten drops of Primal True Power.

That shows just how difficult and precious Primal True Power is to condense.

Fortunately, Ian had enough Primal Spirit Ore and the Divine Temple’s time acceleration, so now he had dozens of drops of Primal True Power stored in his body.

He decided to wait a few more days, and once he’d stored enough Primal True Power, he’d go break Mason Hu’s Domain Barrier and then unleash Supreme Slaughter Art to rampage through Roxon City. After all, this immortal technique couldn’t be practiced alone—it only worked in battle, especially large-scale fights.

Soon it was quitting time. Ian had just arrived at the base’s parking lot when he bumped into Hannah Han.

"Minister, I’d like to treat you to dinner. Is that okay?" Hannah Han asked with a smile.

"Sure!"

Ian smiled and nodded, "Where do you want to eat?"

He was genuinely curious what Hannah Han was really up to!

"How about Tai’an Restaurant?" Hannah Han suggested.

"Sure, I don’t mind!" Ian agreed.

Ten minutes later, the two arrived at Tai’an Restaurant. Hannah Han had already reserved a private suite—the Chrysanthemum Room, one of the six best.

The room’s style was quite different from the Pine Fragrance suite—much cozier and a bit smaller, perfect for couples dining together.

"Could this girl really be here for me?" Ian wondered for a moment.

After a few drinks, Hannah Han’s cheeks flushed slightly. She took off her coat, revealing a tempting line of pale skin that drew the eye.

But Ian was used to beautiful women—he didn’t gawk or act like a fool, instead keeping his eyes straight ahead as if he hadn’t noticed a thing.

Meanwhile, on the Federation Homeworld, Plumridge City.

After Lynn Ning arrived at work, her three female coworkers—who’d accepted Gavin Chen’s invitation yesterday—started singing his praises to her, intentionally or not.

Seeing this, Lynn Ning immediately understood—the three had probably been bought off by Gavin Chen.

She’d seen plenty of palace intrigue before, so she didn’t take it to heart.

Soon, it was quitting time again.

Just as she left the restaurant, Gavin Chen showed up again—this time without flowers.

"Miss Ning, may I have the honor of dining with you?" Gavin Chen asked politely.

"Sorry, I don’t want to eat with you," Lynn Ning replied coolly.

"Lynn, it’s just a meal, no big deal!" one coworker urged.

"Yeah, Young Master Gavin is really sincere—just say yes!" another coworker chimed in. Yesterday, Gavin Chen hadn’t just treated them to Demon’s Kitchen, but also gave each of them a gift worth half a year’s salary.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t be so eager to help Gavin Chen pursue her.
