Terry Tian

After returning to his cave with Patriarch Samuel Shen, Xander Xu fumed, "Damn it, Demon Mask Sect! Just wait. My Demon Tiger isn't something you can just grab as you please."

"What do we do now?" Patriarch Samuel Shen asked worriedly.

"This is Magus Heaven Realm. Relax, I've already got a plan. It's just a small matter, nothing to worry about. Come on, I'll take you to find some helpers." Xander Xu said, then led Patriarch Samuel Shen away.

With that, Xander Xu took Patriarch Samuel Shen and left, while over on Liam Yang's side, he was still alone, muttering gloomily, "Dad, when are you coming? The outside world really isn't fun at all."

Far away, Evan Yang sensed that Liam Yang wasn't in any real danger and felt relieved, while Liam himself believed he was in serious trouble.

Three days later, Liam Yang suddenly felt dizzy, as if his soul was about to fly out. Right on cue, Mira Ming arrived, smiling as she looked at Liam. "How is it? I told you, it was poison, but you didn't believe me."

"Why are you so ruthless?" Liam Yang grumbled.

"As long as you agree to one thing, I'll let you go and guarantee your freedom," Mira Ming said with a smile.

"Is there really such a good deal?" Liam Yang asked skeptically.

"Of course. So, do you agree or not?" Mira Ming smiled.

"Only an idiot wouldn't agree. I accept, so hurry up and let me go," Liam Yang said with a smile.

"You said it, so don't go back on your word," Mira Ming smiled.

Liam Yang nodded. "I won't go back on it."

"Here, take this," Mira Ming said. Liam swallowed the pill, and immediately felt much better. At that moment, Mira released him.

Finally able to move his legs, Liam Yang laughed, "You really let me go? Aren't you afraid I'll run away?"

"The antidote I gave you is only temporary. If you don't take it every month, you'll end up just like you were a moment ago. What do you think?" Mira Ming smiled.

"You..." Liam Yang was speechless, but decided to accept his bad luck. Then he asked, "So if I do what you want, you'll really let me go?"

"That's right, it's just that simple," Mira Ming replied.

"Alright, tell me, what is it?" Liam Yang sighed.

"Hehe, just be my companion for a while. Once the time's up, I'll set you free," Mira Ming suddenly said, grinning at Liam.

Liam thought he must've misheard. "What? Are you serious?"

"Of course I'm serious. So, what do you think? I'm such a beauty—being my companion won't wrong you, even if you're a black guy." Mira Ming laughed.

"Yeah, you're pretty good-looking, but there's definitely a catch," Liam muttered.

"Obviously. I just need to borrow you for a bit. But listen up—even if you're my companion, you're not allowed to touch me, got it? Or I'll poison you to death." Mira suddenly grinned wickedly.

Liam was stunned. "Then why do you want me as your companion? How does that work?"

"Don't worry about that. When I need your help, you'll know." Mira smiled.

"Alright, but you should at least tell me where we are and who you are," Liam said.

"Relax, I'll tell you right now." Mira replied, then started explaining.

After listening, Liam finally understood where he was and who Mira was. Her name was Mira Ming, her big brother was Darren Ming, her little brother was Milo Ming. Hearing their names, Liam couldn't help but laugh. "Your big brother and little brother have pretty funny names. Who picked them?"

"You'd better not make fun of them. If my dad hears, you're done for." Mira glared.

"Fine. So, what now? Shouldn't you take me out for a walk?" Liam asked.

"No rush, gotta dress you up first." Mira said, then brought Liam a bunch of clothes, finally finding some that fit.

He looked pretty cool, but with black skin, it was hard to tell if he was handsome or ugly.

Mira complained helplessly, "Why is your skin so black?"

"Don't ask. After I entered the Demon Pool, I ended up like this," Liam said, frustrated.

"Demon Pool? You're from outside?" Mira asked curiously.

Liam nodded, "Yeah, that's right. I'm from outside."

"I see. Then your black skin must be from demonic qi. To get rid of it, you'll need some top-grade medicinal herbs, but those are really hard to find. I don't have any right now, but if I get them someday, I'll help you clean it off. Otherwise, you look way too scary like this." Mira said.

"Thanks, I really appreciate it." Liam was already thinking about seeing Faye Lin again after leaving. If he looked like this, it'd be terrifying. So he figured he had to clear up the black skin before heading back.

"Alright, let's head out." Mira Ming led the black-skinned youth outside. When the crowd saw him, they all stared, not knowing who he was. People kept asking about his origins. Mira just said, "He's my new companion. Remember, seeing him is the same as seeing me." Then she left the dumbfounded crowd and went to the bamboo forest.

Arriving at the bamboo grove, Mira Ming smiled, "Done. It's much quieter here."

"Where are you taking me?" Liam asked, curious as he saw the bamboo all around.

"Of course, I'm taking you to enjoy the scenery—and soon you'll have to face some scary people." Mira said.

"Face scary people? What do you mean?" Liam was confused.

Just as Liam finished asking, a group of people descended from above. Leading them was a graceful young man with many ornate bracelets on his hands, followed by a crowd.

"News travels fast. Let's see how you handle this next part," Mira Ming laughed.

"What do you mean, 'handle'? Explain it clearly!" Liam said, confused.

Mira Ming was about to explain, but the young man walked over, sneering. "Mira, what's your deal? Don't you know I've been chasing you? I'm about to bring a betrothal gift to your father, pick a date, and marry you—yet you say you have a companion? And he's a black guy?"

"Terry Tian, Young Master Tian, sorry—I just like this black guy. I really have no interest in your pretty-boy looks." Mira Ming acted helpless.

"Mira, are you really not going to change your mind?" Terry Tian frowned.

"Once I've said something, I can't take it back. Otherwise, what will people think of me? They'll say I mess around with a bunch of guys." Mira Ming laughed.

"If that's really the case, then I won't be polite. Today, I'll take his life." Terry Tian snorted coldly.

Liam finally understood—Terry Tian was chasing Mira Ming, but she didn't like him, so she pulled Liam in to block him. Now Terry's anger was all aimed at Liam.

Terry Tian rushed over, clearly intent on attacking Liam. Mira Ming wasn't about to let that happen. She snorted, "Terry Tian, don't do this. He's my companion. If anything happens to him, I won't let you off."

"Mira, that's not my concern. Once I defeat him, you'll realize who you should really be with!" Terry Tian snorted, then signaled to his followers.

Two men stepped forward, separating Mira Ming and Liam. Terry Tian walked toward Liam, looking like he wanted to kill him.

Mira Ming shouted angrily, "Terry Tian, stop right now!"

"What if I don't stop? What can you do? Anyway, he's dead today." Terry Tian laughed, pouring all his rage into his hand as he attacked Liam.

Liam sighed, "You really think you can kill me? Arrogant." With that, he disappeared.
