Lisa Li Hosts a Gathering

Julia Yu was now certain: Lisa Li's mind was no longer clear.

Well, to be fair, her mind was never exactly clear before.

But now, it was getting worse.

It was already heading toward something pathological.

Julia Yu looked seriously at Lisa Li, pondering how she was going to report this to Max Mo.

Seeing Julia Yu stay silent, Lisa Li actually pressed the tip of the knife against her own neck, her expression dark as she stared at Julia: "If I die here, do you think Brother Zach Mo will blame you? Can you, the newly appointed Chief Special Assistant, still keep your job in front of Brother Zach Mo?"

"Wait!" Julia Yu raised her hand to stop her. "Let's talk this out, put the knife down first!"

But Lisa Li refused to relax. "Promise me first, or I'll kill myself!"

"Okay, okay, I promise, I promise, just put the knife down." Julia Yu was genuinely frightened by Lisa Li, so she stalled for time, then quickly snatched the knife from her hand and tossed it aside.

Lisa Li looked triumphantly at Julia Yu. "Don't think you can fool me. If you try, you'll regret it!"

After Li Si finished speaking, she didn't bother tending to the wound on her neck. She simply turned and went back to her own room.

Yu Jie fell into deep thought.

Li Si's situation was really getting worse and worse.

It seemed that it was truly time to find a psychologist for her.

Otherwise, if this drags on, things will only get worse for her.

After Yu Jie returned to her room, she wrote an email to Max Mo, reporting every detail of what had happened recently to him.

She also attached a case at the end of her report.

This case was one Yu Jie had experienced herself years ago as an intern, working alongside her mentor.

The protagonist of the case was a marginalized person, never valued by her family since childhood. Later, she realized that whenever she got sick, her family would pay more attention to her.

So even when she wasn't sick, she would find ways to pretend she was. Eventually, when she stopped getting sick, she began to self-harm.
