Samuel Young

Master Jasper Jade glared angrily at Samuel Young, but then Samuel Young started to laugh.

"How about this, Brother Qiu? There’s a fun place not far from here. Let me take you there for some amusement."

"Stop your nonsense, Samuel Young. You’re still the same as ever—never serious."

Samuel Young chuckled, then took out a small bottle of liquor, unscrewed it, took a sip, looked at me, and smiled again.

"This time, the Nine Daoist Scions have come down the mountain to discuss matters, and then to directly negotiate with the Ghost Sovereigns. Isn’t Ethan Zhang precisely someone connected to those seven Ghost Sovereigns? Brother Qiu, I think Ethan Zhang didn’t do this on purpose. And your disciples—if you don’t stop the bleeding now, things will get much worse."

I turned my head and looked at the three junior Taoists who had injured me. Their faces were pale, clearly in pain. At this moment, Samuel Young walked over, smiled, then took out something that looked like a lotus flower, golden in color. With a wave of his hand, the golden lotus floated in the air, and a shower of golden light, like dew, sprinkled over the three wounded Taoists.

Gradually, the wounds on their thighs, which had still been bleeding, began to heal.

Samuel Young turned his head and looked at Master Jasper Jade, smiling.

"Brother Qiu, let it go. If Ethan Zhang had really meant to fight you, your disciples would have died on the spot."

Master Jasper Jade looked at me, deeply conflicted, as if caught between a rock and a hard place.

"Master, I truly didn’t mean it. I was only investigating the Immortality Society, so I temporarily borrowed your disciple’s body. I apologize."

I dispelled the baleful energy entwined around Qiu Lin’s body. He breathed a sigh of relief, and finally, Master Jasper Jade let out a long sigh.

"Forget it."

Then he left with his disciples. Qiu Lin followed as well; before leaving, he glanced at me, and I nodded in return.

At this moment, Samuel Young looked at me with a wide smile. I thanked him, but he just shook his head.

Samuel Young always exuded a carefree air, unconventional and friendly. I was in pain—my Ghost Soul had just been injured. Samuel Young came over.

"Ethan Zhang, you just need to find an Extreme Yin Land and absorb some of its earth energy. That will dissolve the force inside you that’s blocking the flow of your Ghost Soul."

Samuel Young said this, and I nodded. Right now, there really was a force inside my body hindering the flow of my Ghost Soul, as if my meridians were blocked. I tried to break through it with my power, but it was beyond my ability.

"Come on, Ethan Zhang, I want to talk with you."

I nodded, then followed Samuel Young to the top floor of a house. We sat down. Samuel Young took out several bottles of liquor, grabbed one, extended two fingers, muttered something under his breath, gestured, and suddenly the bottle was in my hand. The scent of liquor wafted over, and I looked at it in surprise.
