Dark Night Phoenix's Suppression

Chapter 1161

That's contamination. As long as you're touched by it, the flames won't go out until you're reduced to ashes. Once it sticks, you can't shake it off.

After Theo devours the Dark Night Phoenix Fire, his power will increase dramatically. Once the flames inherit the properties of the Dark Night Phoenix Fire, don't even think about putting them out.

Theo guided the flames into the Spellbook of Ages and dove in to digest that mass of Dark Night Phoenix Fire. If left unchecked, that fireball, over ten meters across, could potentially spread throughout the entire flame world inside the Spellbook of Ages.

After another sweep of its wings, the Dark Night Phoenix spat a jet of fire at Leon, who had just slain the Moonlight Deer. The beast then ceased its assault, its burning eyes giving the crowd a cold, sweeping glance before it folded its wings.

It stopped attacking, but the Dark Night Phoenix's aura spread outward. The oppressive presence of a Sky Rank Level 2 Beast blanketed an area of tens of kilometers, and in an instant, everyone felt as if they were carrying a mountain on their backs.

Faced with this widespread suppression, the four Sky Rank Beasts and Didala found their power cut by nearly thirty percent. The mages below Sky Rank had it even worse—their strength was halved.

Casting spells became even harder, the cost grew steeper, and the time needed to cast increased significantly. To make matters worse, the spells themselves grew weaker.

But in the face of this sudden suppression, the remaining four Sky Rank Beasts and dozens of Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts seemed to go mad. Not only did their power remain unaffected, but their eyes turned blood-red. In an instant, all the beasts appeared to have gone berserk.

With its bloodshot eyes, the Earth Demon Rhinoceros let out a furious roar and charged straight at the human army. Behind it, the Ice Ape—its body covered in frost—swung its massive arms, each dozens of meters long, in a frenzy.

The two remaining Blazewolves, their bodies ablaze like moving mountains of fire, charged at the human mage army.

All four Sky Rank Beasts turned berserk, leading dozens of equally frenzied Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts. Like waves of raging floods, each towering tens of meters high, they crashed toward the human alliance.

The earth trembled violently, waves of rage rolling out like tides. Those just suppressed by the Dark Night Phoenix's aura, their power plummeting and still unadjusted, could only keep retreating.

The Earth Demon Rhinoceros stomped the ground furiously, sending waves of earth—each over ten meters high—crashing toward the crowd.

The Ice Ape spat out a blast of frost; in an instant, hundreds of ice spikes, each seven or eight meters long, rained down with shrill whistling, chasing after the crowd.

The two Sky Rank Blazewolves opened their massive jaws and unleashed twin pillars of fire. The fire instantly became waves, each dozens of meters thick, crashing down from the sky onto the crowd.

On top of that, spells unleashed by dozens of Pseudo Sky Rank Beasts from the rear rained down from the sky, overwhelming the crowd.

The four Sky Rank fighters tried to resist briefly, but were instantly sent flying backward.

Retreat! Everyone, fall back!

A roar of shock and anger exploded in midair, and everyone began a frantic retreat. Even the six Sky Rank powerhouses started to fall back...
