Eric Jiang immediately responded with a smile, "Sure!"
Molly Yun got into the car with Eric Jiang, and they quickly drove away.
Luckily, although both of them were quite refined, neither was picky about food.
So they just picked a random Western restaurant and went in.
As they entered the restaurant, Eric Jiang's phone rang. He answered the call, and during the conversation, his gaze—almost unconsciously—swept over Molly Yun.
The call was from his bodyguard.
The confession from Ken Han's interrogation had come in.
The bodyguard worked quickly—Ken Han confessed everything, even his most embarrassing secrets, until there was nothing left to tell.
Seeing how nervous Eric Jiang was about Molly Yun, the bodyguard didn't dare slack off and quickly reported the news to him.
After finishing the call, Eric Jiang immediately checked his email.
Ken Han's confession was sent over in an email.
The email was long, mostly describing Molly Yun's story.
The bodyguard had figured out Eric Jiang's temperament quite well.
He wanted to hear something different from Ken Han.
So, the image of Molly Yun in Ken Han and others' eyes was vividly portrayed.
When recording these details, the bodyguard even thought Ken Han was lying.
Ever since he started following Eric Jiang to track Molly Yun, he knew she was a goddess-level figure—terrifyingly knowledgeable, fluent in many languages, talented and extraordinary.
How could such a brilliant, world-class woman be the same troubled girl Ken Han described—barely literate, fighting, drinking, and never coming home?
Aren't these two completely different concepts?
After thoroughly grilling Ken Han—until he confessed even how many times he'd embarrassed himself—the bodyguard finally believed the confession was real.
Eric Jiang looked at the detailed information Ken Han had dug up—it was even more thorough than what he’d had his own people investigate.
It even included things like when Molly Yun got her period, what she liked to eat and what she didn’t—everything was crystal clear.
But now, to Eric Jiang, this information was completely useless.
Because he already knew—the Molly Yun in front of him really wasn’t the same Molly Yun from the past.
No matter how shocking the truth was.
He’d be ready for anything.
Molly Yun looked at Eric Jiang, confused. "What’s wrong?"
Eric Jiang put away his phone and smiled, "It’s nothing. Just one of my guys reporting in."
Molly Yun nodded thoughtfully and followed Eric Jiang into the restaurant.
They ordered two meals, like they’d done it a hundred times before.
Molly Yun’s table manners were absolutely flawless.
Eric Jiang was even more convinced he was right.
The shell was still Molly Yun’s, but the core? Clearly swapped out long ago—only nobody else had noticed.
"Really, thank you for this afternoon," Molly Yun said softly. "It was so embarrassing... If you hadn’t been there, I wouldn’t have known what to do."
"Never had to deal with something so sudden before?" Eric Jiang looked at Molly Yun with a half-smile.
Molly Yun paused, knife and fork in hand, then kept cutting. "Nope."
Her honesty made Eric Jiang smile.
What she said basically meant she’d denied Molly Yun’s past.
Or, in another way, she was admitting she wasn’t the original Molly Yun anymore.
But both of them were smart enough not to dig any deeper into that topic.
