Adopting the Dragon-Qilin

The little fox, Lina the Spirit Fox, poked her head out from Quinn Shepherd's bundle and couldn't help but say, "Brother Vance, haven't you thought about how your ship is now three to five times faster than before? If you use it to carry passengers, you could make more trips and earn more money. There's no need to resort to robbing people."

Vance Skyler shot Lina two sharp looks. "Why bother with all that effort? My ship is fast enough, and my robberies are fast enough too. Before, I could only rob once a day, now I can do it three to five times. I make way more money robbing than carrying passengers. In prosperous times, there are more merchant ships, so that's when you should rob. Now there's a war and fewer merchant ships, so I carry passengers. Little fox, you have no business sense."

Lina the Spirit Fox was completely speechless.

The Cloudchaser Passenger Ship was moving so fast that it began to creak and groan, struggling to withstand the air pressure from its rapid flight. Vance Skyler grew nervous again and, together with a few bandits, reinforced the ship, using yuanqi to form runes and brand them onto the hull.

Quinn Shepherd was on edge as well, now worrying that the ship might collapse and break apart at any moment.

Fortunately, along the way, the Cloudchaser Passenger Ship never broke apart in midair.

On their journey, they encountered several battlefields, but the Cloudchaser Pirate Ship was so fast that neither side had time to see what it was before the ship had already flown past, leaving everyone baffled.

Vance Skyler was equally astonished. The furnace Quinn Shepherd had refined was simply too powerful—at this speed, a journey that would normally take seven or eight days could now be completed in just over a day.

However, while Quinn Shepherd's furnace was excellent, it also consumed a lot of spirit stones and medicinal ingredients.

By the time they reached the capital, it was already early morning on the second day. The Cloudchaser Passenger Ship slowed down, its supply of medicinal stones nearly depleted, and gradually descended to land in the city's carriage and horse market.
