Are You Lying to Me Again
"What did you just say? Say it again!" Sean Hayes stormed over, grabbed Simon Yu by the collar, and lifted him up, looking fierce enough to bite his head off.
"Hey, you nutcase! Let go! Stop manhandling me, or I’ll really beat you up!" Simon Yu struggled desperately, tugging at his own collar and trying to pry Sean’s hand away.
But this time, Sean was frantic, his grip ironclad. Simon Yu, a grown man, found himself pinned against a tree by Sean Hayes—how awkward and dramatic was that scene...
Just then, a Hayes Family Shadow Guard happened to walk into the courtyard, caught sight of the scene, and quickly covered his eyes as he dashed away: "Sorry! Sorry! I didn’t see anything!"
Sean ignored the fleeing shadow guard, glaring at Simon Yu: "What did you just say about making your own woman get an abortion? Explain yourself!"
Simon Yu’s clothes had been ripped by Sean, and he struggled: "That girl in the room just now—isn’t she your woman? She’s pregnant. Didn’t you smell the medicine in the courtyard? That’s abortion medicine. Your woman is pregnant and brewing abortion medicine. I called you a scumbag, a heartless jerk. Was I wrong?"
Sean was stunned, mumbling, "This... this can’t be. Mrs. Penny—she said she wasn’t pregnant. How could... You—you must be mistaken!"
Simon Yu grew anxious and cursed, "You nutcase! I’m the last disciple of the Medical Sage—how could I mistake the smell of abortion medicine? I checked that girl’s complexion—she’s definitely pregnant! You ignorant nutcase, don’t slander me and ruin my reputation!"
"She—Mrs. Penny really is pregnant..." Sean Hayes muttered in disbelief, releasing his grip and then frantically searching the courtyard for Mrs. Penny.
Simon Yu watched the crazy, volatile man finally leave, looking resigned and annoyed as he straightened his collar and cursed, "Nutcase! My new clothes are ruined! Damn it! He’d better pay for this!"
Meanwhile, the Hayes Family Shadow Guards who had witnessed the commotion were already gossiping in the corridor: "Did you see that? Commander Sean just pinned Dr. Yu against a tree!"
"I saw! I saw! Dr. Yu’s face was all red, and Commander Sean looked like he wanted to eat him alive!"
"What do you think they were fighting about? Was it about Mrs. Penny?"
"Probably! I heard Mrs. Penny drank abortion medicine. Commander Sean must be losing his mind!"
"Poor Mrs. Penny. She’s always caught in the middle of these messes. But Commander Sean really cares about her, doesn’t he?"
Sean Hayes dashed through the estate, searching every corner for Mrs. Penny, his heart pounding with dread.
He finally found her curled up in the woodshed, pale and trembling, clutching her stomach.
Sean rushed over, knelt beside her, and asked in a trembling voice, "Mrs. Penny, what happened? Are you alright?"
Mrs. Penny’s lips were white, her voice barely a whisper: "Commander Sean... I drank the medicine. I thought I could handle it, but now... it hurts so much..."
Sean’s hands shook as he tried to help her up. "Hold on! I’ll get Simon Yu! He’ll know what to do!"
Mrs. Penny tried to smile, but her eyes were filled with tears. "Commander Sean... I’m sorry. I didn’t want to trouble anyone..."
Sean Hayes scooped her up, voice trembling with panic: "You’re not alone, Mrs. Penny! I’ll protect you, no matter what!"
