Temporary Alliance

The third mission has two parts. First, any System Host who joins the Prosperia Kingdom army will automatically be assigned to the Prosperia camp, while those who join the Westpeak Kingdom army will be assigned to the Westpeak camp.

If the camp a System Host belongs to is defeated, then their mission will also fail.

At the same time, if you fail to kill all System Hosts in the enemy camp, the mission will also fail.

Here's an example.

Suppose Prosperia Kingdom defeats Westpeak Kingdom, but one Host from Westpeak escapes. In that case, all System Hosts in the Prosperia camp are considered to have failed the mission.

Of course, that escaped Host also won't complete the mission—in the end, their memories will be wiped and they'll become an ordinary person.

And also—

This time, the System Controller is being surprisingly considerate.

They actually displayed both camps directly in everyone's mind.

There are fourteen System Hosts on the Prosperia Kingdom side.

Besides Ian Song's group of twelve, Gavin Jiang and another Host named Ethan Ye are also part of the Prosperia camp.

But—

During this period, Ian hadn't seen Gavin Jiang or Ethan Ye at all.

How did they complete their missions?

Or did they use some special method to become someone else in the Prosperia army, making everyone overlook their presence?

"Looks like the mastermind who framed me last time really was Gavin Jiang!"

On the Westpeak Kingdom side, there are thirteen System Hosts.

To complete the mission, you have to help Prosperia Kingdom defeat Westpeak Kingdom and kill all System Hosts in the enemy camp.

"Greetings, Thousand-man Commander!"

Just then—

Outside the tent, a soldier's voice rang out. Ian Song swept his Divine Sense over and saw that the Thousand-man Commander had already arrived outside his tent. Soon after, the commander lifted the flap and walked in.

"Greetings, Commander!"

Ian Song bowed respectfully as a subordinate.

With a casual wave, the Thousand-man Commander sealed the entire tent with a restriction, preventing anyone else from peeking in.

Then, the commander's face began to shift and twist, finally turning into Ethan Ye's appearance.

"Impressive technique!"

Ian couldn't help but clap and say, "I never thought you'd actually replace the Thousand-man Commander!"

"You're too kind!"

Ethan Ye said modestly, "My true strength can't compare to yours or Gavin Jiang's, so I have to rely on some special tricks."

"Do you know where Gavin Jiang is?"

Ian looked at him and asked.

"No idea, but the one who set you up that night was definitely him!"

Ethan Ye said.

"So, why did you come see me today?" Ian asked in a low voice.

"Obviously, to work together!"

Ethan Ye said as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Ian didn't doubt his sincerity. After all, they were now on the same side, with aligned interests, so for now, the other party wouldn't harm him.

"So, how do you propose we cooperate?"

Ethan Ye said loudly, "Your mastery of array arts is unmatched in the world, but you command too few soldiers, so your power is limited. I'm confident I can persuade the other two Thousand-man Commanders, and then, with thirty thousand troops forming a grand formation, we'll smash through everything and rout the enemy!"

"Alright, I accept!"
