Battle at the Saint Seat Plaza

12/19/2025

Boom! When it comes to array mastery, if Joe Di claims second, no one would dare claim first. As the Azure Veil Blade was unleashed, it only took a single strike to tear the grand array into fragments.

The collapse of the array, accompanied by the roar of law shattering, drew the attention of every cultivator on the Saint Seat Plaza. Soon, everyone saw the newcomers: Joe Di, Charles Bei—whose physical body had yet to recover—followed by Jaxon Di and Hannah Bei.

At the moment they saw Joe Di, most who recognized him knew the real spectacle was about to begin. Given Joe Di’s decisive ruthlessness, it would be strange indeed if he could reconcile with Jude Fen.

Joe Di’s gaze first landed on Jack Drake and Jenny Drake, nailed in midair. Besides them, Lucas Pearl was also pinned in the void, but a sweep of Joe Di’s divine sense revealed Lucas Pearl had already fallen. Next were Henry Vaughn, Gordon Bone, and two unfamiliar cultivators. Of the four, Gordon Bone was also dead. As for the array Joe Di had set up to guard the domain of the Saint Seat, it had long since been shattered to dust.

Not only that, but even Zach was gravely wounded, lying on the ground. Not far from Zach lay another severely injured middle-aged cultivator whom Joe Di recognized—Jin Zai, whom he had just met at the Creation Nest.

A murderous intent condensed instantly in Joe Di’s heart, but at his level, even when killing intent became tangible, not a trace leaked out.

Without hesitation, Joe Di stepped beside those nailed in the void, raised his hand, and swept all those pinned down to the ground.

“Heh, I really don’t know how you’ve cultivated to this level. Don’t you know that those nailed by me, Jude Fen, aren’t people just anyone can release?” Jude Fen, who hadn’t had time to nail Jin Zai and Zach, stepped forward to confront Joe Di. Despite his mocking tone, the chill in his eyes was enough to freeze the air.

Daring to casually release those he had pinned? Heh, perhaps it was because they weren’t dying fast enough.

Joe Di placed several pills into the mouths of the gravely injured who had not yet died, then looked at Jude Fen, who now stood before him. “Are you blind? Can’t you see how your grandpa entered?”

Only then did Jude Fen realize that, aside from those who had already fallen, the ones Joe Di had given pills to were now healing themselves, and the two Twin-Tailed Panthers had even risen to their feet. Though they hadn’t come over yet, their recovery was only a matter of time. He glanced again at the shattered forbidden array; a slight frown appeared. This proved Joe Di’s mastery of the Dao of Arrays was not inferior to his own.

In fact, even he didn’t want to admit it—if Joe Di’s array mastery matched his, then the forbidden array Joe Di had set up would be impossible for him to break in a short time. Likewise, those nailed in the void by Joe Di couldn’t be rescued so easily; at least, it would take him some effort. The only possibility was that Joe Di’s array mastery surpassed his own.

"Brother Di, I’m sorry. I was too weak to protect them," Jin Zai apologized after swallowing a pill.

Joe Di cupped his fists. "Thank you, Brother Jin. If not for you, I fear Zach would have been bitten by that plastic dog."

Jude Fen had no idea what Joe Di meant by 'plastic dog,' but he was sure it wasn’t a compliment. His face remained expressionless, like a sculpture—'plastic' was likely a jab at him.

Jude Fen couldn’t be bothered to retort. He casually slammed the Demonbane Cudgel onto the ground before him, sending stones flying, then looked at Joe Di and said, "Let me, Jude Fen, see just what you’re capable of—daring to kill people of my Treasure Spring Universe and rob my universe’s Vast Iron Crystal."

At the mention of the Vast Iron Crystal, Joe Di immediately understood. He had killed Evan York in the Creation Nest, and it seemed Evan York and Jude Fen hailed from the same universe.

As soon as Jude Fen finished speaking, another figure stepped down from the void, standing in opposition to him and laughing wildly. "And me, Howard Zuo. I’m here just to wait for you."

Joe Di’s gaze fell on Howard Zuo. Unlike the sculpture-faced Jude Fen, this man was burly, with a beard covering his face. His eyes were like two sharp swords, his nose and mouth large; just standing there, he exuded a vast, domineering aura.

What surprised Joe Di most was his artifact—a type Joe Di had never seen before. It looked like a river shrunk countless times, held in his hand. But this river was special: it had no banks, or perhaps it was a boundless river.

This man’s strength was certainly no less than Jude Fen’s, but Joe Di showed no fear.

Howard Zuo stared at Joe Di, trying to moderate his tone. "Was it you who killed Charles Shao of my Tanyuan Universe?"

So it was for Charles Shao. Joe Di understood and laughed, "That’s right, I killed him."

He didn’t even bother to explain—if it was a fight, so be it. Joe Di had never feared being besieged.

Before Howard Zuo could say more, Jude Fen’s Demonbane Cudgel swept up waves of murderous intent, causing the entire Saint Seat Plaza to tremble.

Compared to his earlier attack on Jin Zai, it was obvious to all the onlookers that Jude Fen was now fighting at full strength.

The space was dyed with rolling black mist by the cudgel’s Dao resonance. Everyone knew this mist was merely the killing intent stirred up by the Demonbane Cudgel, but due to Jude Fen’s Dao, it appeared as billowing black fog.

Joe Di, of course, didn’t waste a word. The Azure Veil Blade swept up a boundless blade curtain, striking head-on at Jude Fen’s rolling demonic fog. He was not like Jin Zai, who hesitated to attack and only thought of defense.

The blade curtain surged forth, raising five waves of blade force, each higher than the last. By the fifth wave, the blade tide had already surpassed ten million feet.

Blade tides and demonic fog collided head-on, shattering the rules of the void and sending wild Dao resonance flooding out. No matter how far away, most cultivators—except the strongest—were forced to summon their artifacts for defense.

When the sixth wave of blade force collided with Jude Fen’s demonic fog, the black mist weakened without limit, becoming tangible yet fading, and Jude Fen’s figure was clearly exposed. The Demonbane Cudgel stood like a massive gate, blocking the endless demonic fog.

Jude Fen’s expression changed. Since his debut, he had never met anyone who could withstand his divine art, Fog Veils the Void. Today, not only had he met one, but his technique was clearly being suppressed—the opponent’s blade waves grew stronger and more overwhelming with each strike. Jude Fen was certain the sixth wave would crush his Fog Veils the Void, and if Joe Di had a seventh wave, he’d be instantly overpowered.

Would Joe Di have a seventh wave of blade force? Jude Fen suspected that after the sixth, there was a strong chance a seventh—or even an eighth—would follow...

This couldn’t go on. The Demonbane Cudgel began to spin in the void, causing the space to collapse.

Joe Di privately admired Jude Fen’s strength. His current Time’s Fourth Loom was nothing like before. Not only did Jude Fen withstand the sixth wave, he could even switch techniques.

Even so, Joe Di knew he was still a notch above Jude Fen. Though he seemed to be attacking with full force, half his attention was on Howard Zuo nearby.

A powerhouse like Howard Zuo, even without acting, could threaten anyone involved in the duel just by standing within the arena.

Howard Zuo’s expression also shifted. He knew all too well how strong Jude Fen was—certainly no weaker than himself—and held a deep wariness toward him. That was why he hadn’t joined forces with Jude Fen against Joe Di from the start. Now, with their divine arts clashing, it was clear Jude Fen was losing ground.

Howard Zuo knew that if he didn’t act, and Jude Fen was crushed by Joe Di a second time, his own life would be at risk. He had already stepped forward—if Jude Fen was finished off, what benefit would that bring him?

With that thought, Howard Zuo unleashed his artifact at Joe Di.

The tiny, boundless river in Howard Zuo’s hand, once unleashed, turned into surging waters. In an instant, it seemed as if the river would engulf the entire Vast Universe, rushing straight at Joe Di.

(That’s all for today’s update, friends. Good night!)
