Crisis Arrives

2/14/2026

Evan Chu revealing his identity in front of everyone wasn’t just for show. He was worried that those three from the Mo Xuan clan were still running around like headless flies, unable to find their target.

His whole purpose was to make them come to him quickly, to draw them into his own plan, and let Evan Chu orchestrate a grand spectacle!

“So it’s this kid... He’s got guts, I’ll give him that. But with just a mere legion’s strength, he dares act so arrogantly? Not a single Holy Emperor by his side—I’d like to see how you get out of Yellow-Blade Star-Region!”

Ouyang Caiyin sneered at Evan Chu in his heart, his face full of disdain. With a flick of his sleeve, he left the auction hall, already determined to kill Evan Chu and snatch the Starry Void Sigil!

The Baili Family was thinking the same thing. “Does this naïve guy really think the name of Dragon-Chen Legion can intimidate everyone? That the Frostbane Dynasty will shield him and guarantee his safe exit from Yellow-Blade Star-Region?”

Wishful thinking! The emperor’s reach is far away—no matter how powerful the Frostbane Dynasty is, their Holy Emperors couldn’t possibly extend their influence here. Dragon-Chen Legion, Throne Chu, is it? I’m looking forward to our next meeting!”

A Baili elder gave Evan Chu a meaningful look, then left as well.

Before leaving, Marcus Lin also shook his head. “Still too young. Now it’ll be even harder for him to leave Yellow-Blade Star-Region.”

“Tch! I never really believed he was the one the Great Sage spoke about anyway!”

Lena Lin was still holding a grudge against Evan Chu, but right now she couldn’t help secretly worrying for him. With things like this, how would he handle it?

If Dragon-Chen Legion and Evan Chu really fell here, it’d be a damn shame.

The auction hall emptied out quickly—almost everyone was gone. Only Evan Chu’s VIP room remained; he hadn’t moved yet.

Horace Hong spotted Evan Chu, handed off his tasks to other stewards, and walked over alone.

“Well then, Throne Chu, even after winning the Starry Void Sigil, are you still scared?”

“Heh, Pavilion Master Hong, what makes you say that?”

“If you’re not scared, then why haven’t you left yet?”

Horace Hong smiled—what he really wanted to say was that Evan Chu didn’t need to worry at all. Star-Treasure Pavilion’s experts were already lying in wait outside, ready to silently help him clear away obstacles. Of course, he couldn’t say any of this; the Prefecture Master had ordered everything kept secret.

“What, Pavilion Master Hong—are you trying to kick me out?”

“Hahaha! Throne Chu, what are you saying? You’re our Purple-Gold Guest—if you wish, I can arrange for you to stay here as long as you like. Maybe you could wait until you reach the Saint Venerable Realm before heading out.”

“Forget it. I don’t have time to lounge around—I’ve got plenty to do. The dynasty wars are reaching their peak, the hottest stage is coming, and there’s no way Dragon-Chen Legion can sit out. Alright, I’m leaving. Thanks for your care, Pavilion Master Hong.”

“Of course, Throne Chu, no need to be so polite.”

Evan Chu didn’t say anything more and left, taking Nathan Yates with him.

He’d actually been waiting—waiting for one person’s breakthrough. That person was none other than Lance Li!

Under the Law of Time, Lance Li finally succeeded at the last moment. He even spent another year stabilizing his cultivation, so in total, he’d spent three years inside Chaos World.

Evan Chu had paid a heavy price this time—his soul power took a major hit. But it didn’t matter: Lynton Chu’s Thirty Thousand Star-Souls could perfectly complement and replenish his own, so Evan could still fight at peak condition.

Lance Li reappeared at Evan Chu’s side, his aura completely transformed from when he’d first entered the auction hall.

“Lance, how do you feel?”

“Great!”

“Good, you really look different. Let me ask you: If you had to fight a top expert at early Holy Emperor Realm—someone with power on par with the Mad-Blade Throne Lord—how confident are you that you could kill him?”

“A hundred percent!”

Seeing Lance Li’s overwhelming confidence, Evan Chu was honestly a little surprised.

“Looks like the Celestial River Meteor did even more for you than I expected.”

“It’s all thanks to Throne Chu’s generosity.”

“Alright then, what if you faced three experts at early Holy Emperor Realm?”

“If it’s three… Even if I go all out, I could probably only fight them to a draw.”

“What about five?”

Lance Li hesitated, then said in surprise, “If Throne Chu commands it, I’ll face death without complaint!”

Obviously, five early Holy Emperor Realm experts would be far too much for Lance Li—the pressure would be unimaginable. Even with all his skills, he could maybe hold out for a short while.

“Enough, enough—don’t keep saying things like ‘I’ll die ten thousand deaths’ or ‘charge through fire and water.’ What’s the point? What I want is for you all to fight alongside me, conquer the Star-River Sacred Domain, and reach the top. I don’t need martyrs. Still, I might have expected too much from you; I thought you could at least hold your own against five early Holy Emperor Realm experts.”

At this point, even Nathan Yates couldn’t help but interject: “Throne Chu, with all due respect, Lance Li’s current strength already puts him at the very peak of early Holy Emperor Realm!”

To reach this level is already enough to fight an ordinary mid Holy Emperor Realm expert! You really can’t expect too much from us—not everyone can be like you…"

"Uh…" Evan Chu was left speechless by Nathan Yates’s words. Maybe he really was asking too much?

Nathan Yates had almost called him a monster! He held back at the last second, but Evan Chu understood—there’s no way everyone could reach his level, invincible among his peers, able to crush several at once.

“Looks like I can’t just rely on you guys—I need to make plans and break through myself as soon as possible!”

“You’ll get there, Throne Chu. It’s only a matter of time.”

“But… I don’t have much time left.”

Evan Chu didn’t say more and kept walking. Nathan Yates and Lance Li followed on either side. As soon as they appeared in Yellow-Blade Star City, countless eyes locked onto them.

The sense of danger spiked instantly—the oppressive atmosphere was so intense that weaker cultivators could barely breathe. A huge challenge was waiting for Evan Chu.

“Is it finally about to begin?”

Evan Chu glanced up at the sky, then turned his gaze inward—toward the sky within his Chaos World.

In the Star-River Dominion, the sky above each star-world was just a barrier—never a true sky, with no sun or moon, only a dome of stars visible at night.

But Evan Chu’s Chaos World was different. Like the Trial World, it had both sun and moon, plus countless stars twinkling overhead.

Besides the Big Dipper, the Crimson Demon Star, and the Blood-stained Demon Star, there were plenty of other powerful meteors, and some ordinary ones too.

Right now, a thousand stars were primed to detonate—his Stellar Blazeburst Battle-Array was itching to be unleashed. Evan Chu was eager to see which faction would be the first to collide with it.
