Perilous Celestia

Miles Hu glared at his wife, then respectfully addressed Joe Di, "Dr. Di, this is my son Felix Hu. Since leaving the hospital, his condition seems to have worsened."

Joe Di said to Miles Hu and his wife, "Please wait outside and do not let anyone disturb me. Dr. Ben Lin, assist me as my aide."

Joe Di didn't actually need an assistant; he asked Dr. Ben Lin to observe so he could impart some medical techniques to him. Also, Dr. Ben Lin had already witnessed Joe Di's Five-Yin Six-Yang Healing Art.

Hearing Joe Di's permission to observe, Dr. Ben Lin was so excited he could barely speak. While Kira Liu was still hesitating, Miles Hu quickly agreed and pulled Kira Liu out of the room.

He knew very well that if he angered such a reclusive master, the expert might leave in a huff.

Once Miles Hu and Kira Liu had left, Joe Di stepped forward and grabbed Felix Hu. Having witnessed Joe Di's methods before, Dr. Ben Lin wasn't concerned. But when he saw Joe Di remove Felix's oxygen mask, he could only feel relieved that Miles Hu and Kira Liu weren't present—otherwise, they would have gone mad at that moment.

"Dr. Ben Lin, you can't learn my medical skills just yet, but I can teach you some basic techniques..." As Joe Di pressed his palm against Felix Hu's chest, he began to explain some of his medical philosophies.

Every illness has an origin, which could be a virus or something else. To truly cure a disease, you must find its root—not just treat the symptoms. First, identify the source of the problem.

Strictly speaking, Felix Hu's illness is neither a heart condition nor a respiratory disorder causing his constant breathlessness, but rather a unique constitution leading to blood seepage.

Compared to Sherry Shaw's case, this situation is much lighter. With Joe Di's current abilities far surpassing those he had when treating Sherry, healing Felix Hu is much easier.

Joe Di's hand moved so quickly that Dr. Ben Lin could only do his best to memorize every word Joe Di said.

After just fifteen minutes, Joe Di twisted his wrist and gently placed Felix Hu, whom he'd been holding in midair, back onto the bed. He then took out a pill and gave it to Felix.

By now, Felix Hu no longer showed any signs of purple skin or labored breathing. On the contrary, his cheeks were slightly flushed, and he had clearly fallen asleep.

"Dr. Di, is he cured?" Dr. Ben Lin stared at Felix Hu in shock. He knew his question was unnecessary—anyone could see that Felix was already healed.

This wasn't just a medical treatment—it was practically an immortal's magic.

Joe Di smiled slightly. "That's right, he's cured. Go and call Miles Hu and his wife in. I have a few more questions for him."

"Yes, yes..." Dr. Ben Lin hurried to the door and opened it.

Miles Hu and Kira Liu hadn't taken their eyes off the door. As soon as Dr. Ben Lin opened it, they rushed over anxiously. "Dr. Lin, how is he?"

"He's cured. Go see for yourselves." Dr. Ben Lin finally felt completely at ease. Once again, Joe Di's medical skills had redefined his understanding of medicine.

Miles Hu and Kira Liu couldn't care less about manners now—they hurried to Felix Hu in just a few steps.

Felix Hu's trademark wheezing had vanished, and the purple tint on his face and body was gone, replaced with a healthy flush. Watching their son's peaceful breathing as he slept, Miles Hu and Kira Liu knew he was truly cured.

Overwhelmed, Kira Liu was about to kneel before Joe Di again, but he quickly stopped her. Turning to the equally emotional Miles Hu, Joe Di said, "Brother Hu, I have some questions about Celestia that I'd like to ask you."

"No need for such formality—just call me Miles... Dr. Di, please come in and have a seat. I'll answer anything you wish to know." Miles Hu waved his hand and spoke eagerly.

Joe Di smiled, "In that case, you can call me by my name too. I'm not truly a doctor, nor do I intend to become one."

"So what do you do?" Miles Hu relaxed and stopped using formal address.

Joe Di laughed heartily, "I used to be a young master loafing about on the streets—never had a proper job. Now, I barely know where my next meal is coming from."

"Then I'll call you Young Master Joe." Miles Hu was good with words; he didn't believe for a second that Joe Di was just a loafer.

"Whatever you like," Joe Di replied, not bothering to say more.

Miles Hu had booked a suite, and as he led Joe Di inside to sit down, Kira Liu hurried off to make tea.

"Miles, I heard the Earth Federation plans to fully open Celestia. Does that mean people from Earth will be moving there? What exactly has been discovered on Celestia?" Joe Di had long planned to visit Celestia, especially after learning the spiritual energy for his cultivation might be insufficient.

Since he planned to go to Celestia, it was only natural to ask someone about the details beforehand. As he spoke, Joe Di took out a pill and handed it to Miles Hu, gesturing for him to take it.

Miles Hu had absolute faith in Joe Di's medical skills—if Joe Di said he was poisoned, then he believed it. Now, with Joe Di giving him a pill, he swallowed it without hesitation and thanked him, saying, "People on Earth won't be able to migrate to Celestia in large numbers anytime soon. And with Celestia appearing in the solar system, I don't think it's necessarily a good thing."

"Why do you say that?"

Miles Hu took a deep breath and said gravely, "Celestia is crawling with terrifying creatures—not just beasts, but fiend beasts and dire beasts. Some dire beasts can't even be killed by submachine guns. Because so many people have died on Celestia, the Earth Federation now wants to send more people there, but their real goal is to develop Celestia."

"Them? Isn't the Earth Federation supposed to be established by all the countries of the world?" Joe Di asked in confusion.

Miles Hu sneered, "Established together? Yes, that's what they claim. But once some ambitious people learned about genuine cultivation techniques on Celestia, they went mad. The unity that existed at first is long gone—now, every faction has carved out its own territory, expanding as much as possible for their own gain."

"No order?" Joe Di frowned.

"Not yet, at least. The largest plaza has been built at Celestia's entrance, and for now, the Earth Federation still controls development. But I don't think that control will last. Once those factions grow stronger, they'll break away from the Earth Federation's authority at any time." Miles Hu shook his head, his tone tinged with worry.

"So at worst, it's just other factions becoming independent. That shouldn't threaten Earth, right?"

Miles Hu sighed, "I've been to Celestia—I know how terrifying the fiend beasts are there. I've even encountered one whose intelligence rivals humans. If the people entering Celestia anger those fiend beasts, do you think they might wipe out everyone on Celestia and then use tools to come to Earth?"

At this point, Miles Hu waved his empty sleeve. "This arm of mine was actually shredded while I was hiding in a corner—by a blade shot out by a fiend beast. You heard right, those fiend beasts can actually spit out blades..."

Even though a long time had passed, Miles Hu's eyes still held fear as he spoke. If he hadn't been lucky and quick to react, he wouldn't be alive today.

Joe Di drew a sharp breath. If those fiend beasts are as intelligent as humans, then what Miles Hu said might really be possible.

"There's no need to worry in the short term. Several powerful people on Earth have already obtained top-tier cultivation techniques, and their strength is terrifying. I saw one of them step into the half-innate stage and soar more than ten meters through the air, like a giant bird gliding above." Miles Hu recalled the scene, trying to comfort Joe Di, though he himself was not truly certain.
