Irreconcilable Conflict

12/2/2025

Everyone was completely absorbed in watching the duel between the two. This was far more captivating than the matches on the high stage—both were masters among masters. In the blink of an eye, they had already exchanged more than ten moves, each one thrilling, yet both managed to skillfully evade the other's attacks at just the right moment.

Quentin Hua watched their fierce exchange, then glanced at the crowd of martial heroes, each with a different look—scheming, uncertain, quietly calculating. He shook his head: these two were simply playing with everyone!

Taking advantage of their distraction, Quentin Hua seized the moment and slipped away.

Damien Gray had never expected Morgan Shangguan to strike so suddenly. Mindful of her condition, he held back every time, but Morgan pressed him relentlessly, determined to force out his true strength!

But Damien Gray had made up his mind—not here, not now, would he truly fight her. Noticing his persistent restraint, Morgan Shangguan didn’t dare push too hard, afraid that if Damien really let her strike, she wouldn’t be able to hold back her strength in time.

She wasn't being overly cautious—knowing Damien Gray's temperament, it was entirely possible!

Though neither of them was truly going all out, to everyone else, the fight looked endlessly thrilling and spectacular!

Morgan Shangguan found it a little dull. Damien Gray gave a subtle, teasing smile and leaned in; Morgan, playing along, delivered a palm strike with deliberate grace.

All anyone saw was the Ghostmaster being struck by the Cloud Guildmaster, stumbling back two steps before regaining his balance. Yet no one noticed the trick behind it, and soon a wave of murmurs and speculation rippled through the crowd.

For as long as anyone could remember, the Ghostmaster had been the greatest headache for the righteous sects, his martial arts unfathomable. And while the Cloud Guild had recently surged in power and none dared underestimate it, everyone still ranked it below the Ghost Guild. But now, to everyone's shock, the Ghostmaster had been bested by Fiona Yun!

How could anyone not be shocked? If Fiona Yun’s martial arts now surpass Lord Ghostmaster, what does that say about the Cloud Guild’s strength? Has it already overtaken the Ghost Guild? If so, Fiona Yun’s repeated provocations against Lord Ghostmaster are no longer the recklessness of youth, but the confidence of true power!

With this, the masterminds behind the incident grew even more uncertain. They’d never been fully confident, and now, seeing they’d underestimated Fiona Yun, they realized achieving their goal would be much harder than they’d imagined.

Quentin Drake was already considering abandoning the original plan and taking a longer view. Shuyang Ye and Liam Liu wore grave, hesitant expressions, while Felix Yu and Qin Yan grew anxious. Seeing Quentin Drake waver, they feared the scheme would collapse. How could they let that happen? Now that things had come to this, they were determined to eliminate these two demons. Otherwise, when the fifteenth of September arrived, the treasure would fall into their hands, and then it would be even harder to stop them!

After all, the treasure is far more than mere gold and silver—it holds something that can grant limitless power, making its possessor master of the world. If they obtain it, who could possibly stand against them? By then, it will be too late for anyone to act!

Felix Yu and Qin Yan exchanged glances. Ignoring everyone else’s hesitation, they issued a direct command. The crowd surged forward—not to attack Damien Gray and Morgan Shangguan, but to target their followers, blocking other Evil Path members from interfering!

To challenge Damien Gray and Morgan Shangguan, these people were simply not qualified. From the beginning, Felix Yu and Qin Yan intended to take matters into their own hands!

Felix Yu and Qin Yan leapt at once, charging straight for Damien Gray and Morgan Shangguan. Before their feet touched the ground, their palm force struck out. Damien Gray’s lips curled in a cruel smile, his eyes glinting with bloodthirsty coldness.

Seeing things escalate, the other three had no choice but to join the fray. If Felix Yu and Qin Yan died at the hands of Damien Gray and Morgan Shangguan, the righteous path’s strength would be severely diminished—there’d be no more time for careful planning, and they’d never be able to touch them again!

That’s exactly why Felix Yu and Qin Yan dared to attack so recklessly—they were certain the others wouldn’t stand by and watch!

Aside from them, other self-proclaimed martial masters from the righteous sects also joined in, though none dared face Damien Gray and Morgan Shangguan directly!

Anyone with true standing in the martial world possessed formidable skills—especially the heads of the three righteous sects and the three great martial families!

Yet these once-respected martial leaders found themselves utterly overshadowed by Damien Gray and Morgan Shangguan, their momentum crushed by sheer force of presence.

Damien Gray never showed mercy when he fought; compassion was never in his nature. Now, his concern for Morgan Shangguan’s safety made his attacks even more ruthless!

Violet Snow was still excited to see Damien Gray, but this time she didn’t cling to him as before. Perhaps Morgan Shangguan’s words about men’s fickleness had affected her after all.

Now, all she wanted was to elevate Rakshasa Palace to rival the Ghost Guild—or even surpass it!

Though she tried to keep her mind off Damien Gray, she couldn’t help but watch his every move with fascination. That unstoppable, sovereign aura—anyone would be shaken, struck by fear and awe. Even faced with his chilling, devouring presence, she found herself wanting to look at him again and again. That was why she’d fallen for him so hopelessly!

She’d originally come here under orders to let Damien Gray unleash chaos upon the martial world, but now she realized it was unnecessary. With his temperament, he never hesitated to stand against the whole world. Now that the righteous factions plotted to destroy him, he would never swallow his pride!

Liam Liu wanted the treasure, but he also saw this as a chance to elevate his own status. That’s why he asked Marjorie Wan to help him confront the Cloud Guild. Now, he attacked with full force. After seeing Marjorie Wan and Julian Ji so close earlier, jealousy burned in his heart, and he blamed everything on Morgan Shangguan.

It was all because of her—because Marjorie Wan was so loyal to Morgan Shangguan, she’d turned against him. His anger grew, and his attacks became even more ruthless!

Damien Gray kept a close eye on Morgan Shangguan. When he saw Liam Liu’s vicious attack, his gaze grew colder. With a palm infused with chilling energy, he struck Felix Yu’s shoulder. Just as everyone thought Felix Yu would be sent flying, they saw him still standing firm.
