Chapter 1092: Bloodbone Orcs

But no matter how strong they are, there's no way they could crush the combined forces of the Henry Family and Skyhold Fortress, right? With those two powers working together, they should be able to hold out for a while. Even if they can't win, they shouldn't be wiped out...

A few thoughts flashed through Leon's mind, and he casually replied.

"I'm busy right now."

On the other side, Morgan kept weaving words out of mana and sending them out. After quite a while, he finally got a reply—just four words.

I'm busy right now...

Morgan's face turned green in an instant, then went pale as a sheet. He glanced back at the Bloodbone Orc hot on his heels, eyes full of murderous intent, and felt cold sweat soaking his back...

Damn it, "I'm busy right now"—Lord Merlin, could you not joke around at a time like this? I'm about to be beaten to death by that raging Bloodbone Orc...

That guy—so skinny he looks like a walking corpse—I just called him an idiot a few times earlier. If he catches up, the first thing he'll do is poke a few holes in me. Hell, maybe he'll twist my head off and hang it in his bedroom as a trophy...

Next time he has guests, he'll point at my head and brag about all the idiots he's dealt with...

"Morgan, how much farther? The power system on this floating fortress is about to blow! We've pushed it past its limits—if we don't make it soon, there's no way we'll escape..."

On the other floating fortress, belching black smoke, Raphael roared at the top of his lungs, his face flushed, neck bulging with urgency...

Morgan chuckled awkwardly, then shouted back.

"Just a few more kilometers and we'll meet up with Lord Merlin. If you die in these last few kilometers, you only have yourself to blame!"

Hearing this, Raphael immediately gave orders to the mages of Skyhold Fortress.

"Push the floating fortress's power and weapon systems to the absolute limit! Use every method to speed up—if we can make it through these last few kilometers, I don't care if this floating fortress is scrapped, you won't be held responsible. If we can't make it, that corpse-like idiot chasing us will finish us all off..."

The mages of Skyhold Fortress, hearing that help was near and they wouldn't be blamed for losing the floating fortress, went all out for their lives—eyes bloodshot as they unleashed everything they had.

Immediately, the internal structures of the floating fortress were torn apart, some alchemical array markings forcibly altered—all to make the fortress fly the last few kilometers as fast as possible...

Within seconds, vast sections of weapon systems, construct systems...

Anything that didn't make the floating fortress faster or help it survive the last few kilometers was ripped out and thrown away—even the power system was short-circuited and rewired to unleash its final burst...
