When Evan Chu saw the Beast King's Second Prince appear, a faint smile crept onto his face. "Sean Xiao, leave the Second Prince to me—I'll take him out. As for the elder beside him, you handle that one. How about it?"
"You're trying to pick the easy one again. That Second Prince is at most Ninth-Layer Saint Martial, but that elder is Venerable Martial. Why don't you take on the Venerable and let me handle the Saint Martial?" Sean Xiao shot Evan a glare as he spoke.
"You're Venerable Martial, I'm only Saint Martial—do you really have the nerve to say that to me? If I get killed by a Venerable, you won't be any better off. Stop whining! Let's slaughter these guys and draw out the Beast King. Once the Shade Lord holds him down, taking out Beast King City will be a breeze." Evan Chu said.
Sean was about to reply when the Second Prince and his group landed from the sky, their faces twisted in fury. Staring at Evan and Sean, the prince barked, "You've got guts, causing trouble in Beast King City! You really don't know your place. Men, seize them!"
"Seize your own damn sister! Pulling this crap in front of young master—clearly you don't know your place!" Evan Chu snapped back, voice full of anger. With a single thought, he gathered fire element from the surrounding space, and in a blink, roaring flames erupted mysteriously on the Second Prince's body, burning him so badly he screamed at the top of his lungs.
Flames appearing out of nowhere on the Second Prince—no one saw that coming. The fire was bizarre, and its temperature was insanely high. Even though the Second Prince had Ninth-Layer Saint Martial strength, he was seriously burned. The wounds were only skin-deep, but the pain was more than enough to handle.
Just as the prince managed to put out the flames, Evan Chu's figure blurred—he flashed forward, leaving a trailing afterimage. In his hand appeared the razor-sharp Frostbane Sword. With lightning speed, he slashed out; the sword strike was gentle yet blindingly fast. All anyone saw was a flash of white light, and the Second Prince collapsed, his head rolling cleanly away from his body.
One move, one kill—clean and decisive. No one expected it. And the target was actually a prince of Beast King City! For a moment, the whole crowd was stunned. Half a second later, the onlookers erupted in screams.
"Kid, you dare kill a prince of my clan—prepare to die!" The elder snapped out of it, roaring in fury. He swung his blazing crimson longsword, unleashing a sword-qi so powerful that Evan Chu had never seen its like before.
But Evan Chu's speed was already beyond the elder's imagination. With a flash, he dodged the sudden sword strike. "Sean Xiao, let's go!" he yelled, instantly flying off into the distance, not caring what trouble Sean might run into.
Sean Xiao understood immediately and threw out a punch before quickly retreating, chasing after Evan Chu. The Beast Clan members panicked. "Go back and tell the Beast King! We'll chase those two!" the elder barked.
After flying several hundred li at top speed, Evan Chu suddenly stopped. Sean Xiao quickly caught up. "Frostbane, why'd you stop running? Did the Shade Lord show up?" Sean asked.
"The Shade Lord hasn't arrived yet. I don't know why. But these pursuers must be dealt with. Sean Xiao, you handle the others—the strongest old bastard is mine. That way you can't say I'm always picking the easy ones." Evan Chu said.
Sean stared at Evan in shock. "Are you serious? That old guy's strength is on par with mine. You sure you can handle him? Don't get reckless!"
"Oh, I’m not sure I can, but I have to try. Enough talk—they’re here. Stick to the plan!" Evan Chu said, striding forward to meet them head-on.
"Kid, you dare stick around? If I don’t tear you to pieces today, how can I face the Second Prince? Die!" the Beast Clan elder roared, unleashing a massive aura that locked onto Evan Chu.
Evan Chu realized the elder was activating a space domain. He was startled—judging by the elder’s strength, this was a Fourth-Layer Venerable Martial expert. The power of his space domain was bound to be terrifying.
Sean Xiao saw the elder unleash a space domain on Evan and instantly shouted, "Frostbane, watch out! That’s a space domain!"
Evan Chu just smiled faintly. "You go deal with the others. So what if it’s a Fourth-Layer Venerable’s space domain? I’m not worried about it."
Sean’s face turned green. Was this really the Frostbane he knew? He was only at Fifth-Layer Saint Martial, yet he’d killed a Ninth-Layer Saint Martial Beast Prince—and now he wasn’t even fazed by a Fourth-Layer Venerable’s space domain. If this was real, just how strong was he? His power level couldn’t be compared to normal standards anymore—it was downright monstrous.
Seeing the unwavering look in Evan Chu’s eyes, Sean Xiao steeled himself too. He unleashed his strongest martial arts on the other pursuers, and in an instant, wind and cloud swirled as heaven and earth changed color.
At that moment, Evan Chu felt as if his body had been nailed in place—completely unable to move, crushed by immense pressure. But he quickly realized the Beast Clan expert was using an earth-element space domain.
He spread out his spiritual sense, and within a few breaths, resonated with the earth element inside the domain. Instantly, the crushing pressure vanished, and he could move freely again—though the elder had no idea. Evan began guiding the earth element in the air to gather around the elder instead.
"Kid, now you know how terrifying my earth domain is, right? You dared kill a prince of my clan—this is where you die!" the elder roared, slashing his longsword at Evan Chu.
He thought for sure this sword strike would finish Evan Chu. But what happened next terrified him, and Sean Xiao—busy fighting the other Beast experts—felt his heart leap to his throat, especially after seeing the elder unleash such a powerful attack on Evan.
But then, he realized the elder charging at Evan Chu suddenly couldn’t move—his whole body was frozen in mid-air, as if trapped by someone else’s domain. It was utterly bizarre.
Sean Xiao was stunned. Could Frostbane have done this? After breaking the elder’s space domain, he somehow trapped the elder inside his own domain instead. How was this possible? He’d never heard of such a thing, but it was happening right before his eyes.
The elder felt as if a mountain of weight had slammed onto him—he was completely immobilized, unable to even speak. It was the eerie effect of being caught in someone else’s domain.
