Ninefold Palace Lord

"Grandfather, is there any way you can get us out?" Third Young Master Fenn was deeply worried—what if those insects outside suddenly noticed the secret chamber and tried to force their way in?

"For now, our only hope is to see if we can contact Patriarch Fenn," Steward Fenn sighed.

"That kid is truly ruthless," Second Fenn Uncle said angrily, now hating Han Yang to the core.

"He said there would be a disaster in ten days, and sure enough, this is a disaster. Just this swarm of insects alone could wipe out our family," Third Fenn Uncle was shaken, unable to imagine what kind of identity Han Yang really had to be so terrifying.

"Enough talk. I'll head out now—keep things under control here," Steward Fenn decided, planning to go find Patriarch Fenn.

Everyone nodded. After Steward Fenn left, they immediately blocked up the chamber walls and huddled inside, anxiously listening to the terrifying noises outside.

Steward Fenn carved a bloody path straight to Patriarch Fenn’s cultivation ground. There, Patriarch Fenn’s voice echoed around him, "What’s happened?"

At this moment, Steward Fenn was covered head to toe in strange, sticky blood.

"Patriarch, something terrible has happened," Steward Fenn said.

"What is it?" Patriarch Fenn asked curiously.

After waiting a quarter of an hour, Evan confirmed the other had left and could only leave reluctantly. He changed his appearance and returned to the inn at the Fenn estate gate, waiting for Steward Fenn to return and see what he was up to.

Steward Fenn recounted everything that had happened, then brought the people from the secret chamber to the Fenn Divine Hall.

After seeing the insects destroyed by Patriarch Fenn, everyone finally relaxed and stepped forward, calling out, "Grandfather (Father)!"

"I've heard everything," Patriarch Fenn said. He came to Second Young Master Fenn's side, checked him, and snorted coldly, "Using insects to hide inside his body—that's quite a trick. But these insects aren't simple. I need to seek out some experts. For now, I'll leave the Fenn Family in your hands."

"You're truly ruthless! Our Fenn Family had no real feud with you!" Steward Fenn snapped.

"No feud? You nearly killed me. I even gave you a chance—ten days to hand over the solution, but you were too arrogant," Evan sneered.

"Are you really Han Yang?" Steward Fenn suddenly asked.

"You figured it out?" Evan was surprised the steward had guessed his identity.

"So it really is you!" Steward Fenn realized the brewer was Han Yang, and the insects were his too—it was almost unbelievable.

"So what? You Fenns used the Tyrant Seal Art. I just wanted your method to deal with the side effects, but you kept refusing and tried to capture and injure me again and again," Evan snorted coldly.

Back at the inn, Evan also sensed that terrifying aura from inside. Just as he was muttering to himself, someone appeared and then vanished into the night.

After spotting the man, Evan flashed forward to follow. Now at the Crossing-Shadow Realm, his speed was no slower than a first-layer Nine Tribulations expert.

That person was Steward Fenn, whose speed was still far beyond Evan's. When Steward Fenn left the planet for another, Evan followed close behind.

When they reappeared, it was on another planet. Evan immediately blocked his path.

Seeing a stranger block his way, Steward Fenn demanded, "Who are you? Why are you blocking my path?"

"Who am I?" Evan chuckled.

"Who exactly are you?" Steward Fenn sensed the opponent's speed was strange—even he might not be able to subdue him. Especially since he was on an urgent mission, he couldn't afford delays.

"Just tell me—where are you going and what for?" Evan asked.

"You haven't told me who you are. Why should I tell you anything?" Steward Fenn snorted coldly.

"Me? I'm the one you tried to kill before," Evan said with a smile, shifting his face to the familiar brewer's appearance.

"Me? I'm the one you tried to kill before," Evan said with a smile, shifting his face to the familiar brewer's appearance.

"You're alive!" Steward Fenn exclaimed, especially noticing Evan's cultivation had clearly advanced a lot.

"If you survived, how could I possibly die?" Evan sneered.

Steward Fenn grew nervous—the opponent's strength was beyond his expectations, and he still had those terrifying insects. He asked, "Were the insects yours?"

"That's right," Evan replied.

"You're truly ruthless! Our Fenn Family had no real feud with you!" Steward Fenn said angrily.

"So it really is you!" Steward Fenn realized the brewer was Han Yang, and that the insects were his as well—it was almost unbelievable.

"So what? You Fenns used the Tyrant Seal Art. I only wanted your method to deal with the side effects, but you kept refusing and tried to capture and injure me multiple times," Evan snorted coldly.

"I'm telling you, you'll never have a good ending. The clan head definitely won't let you off!" Steward Fenn snorted coldly.

"Come on, tell me where you're going!" Evan demanded.

"Why would I tell you?" Steward Fenn suddenly sneered, then vanished right before Evan's eyes.

"Damn!" Evan lunged forward to grab him, but the man was gone.

"What the hell method did he use to escape?" Evan couldn't believe it.

"Kid, just wait. The Fenn Family won't let you go!" Steward Fenn's voice echoed from the sky, then disappeared completely.

It was Evan's first time seeing such a terrifying technique—he could hardly believe it. "Could it be an invisibility art?"

Realizing he'd been tricked by Steward Fenn, Evan frowned, "If you've got the guts, come out!"

No answer. Evan wondered suspiciously, "Did he leave?"

After waiting a quarter of an hour, Evan confirmed the other had left and could only leave reluctantly. He changed his appearance and returned to the inn at the Fenn estate gate, waiting for Steward Fenn to come back, wanting to see what he was up to.

Steward Fenn really did use an invisibility art, but it had limitations—while invisible, he couldn't attack. It was similar to Evan's own sudden-disappearance technique.

Only after Evan had gone did Steward Fenn leave, continuing toward his destination. He arrived at a huge planet—the grandest among all the Ninefold Star's planets.

This was the Ninefold Star of Ninefold Palace. Steward Fenn headed straight for Ninefold Palace.

Ninefold Palace had nine tiers, like a nine-story building. Each tier was vast, comparable to a major city.

The eighth tier was where all the managers gathered, while the ninth tier was where the Palace Lord resided. No one could go up there unless the Palace Lord allowed it.

At the gates below Ninefold Palace, Steward Fenn found a guard and reported, "I'm the Fenn Family's steward. I have urgent business with the Palace Lord."

"From the Fenn Family?" the guard asked suspiciously.

"That's right," Steward Fenn nodded.

The guard used a Transmission Stone to make contact. Soon, an elder in a yellow coat came out and asked, "Steward Fenn from the Fenn Family?"
