"I, Jill Young, hereby name you today."
Countless faces flashed before her eyes—faces from distant ages, faces from faraway places. All of them converged in her heart.
The world drifts on, vast and endless.
So many passersby, so fleeting.
The first form of the Eternal Edge—Eternal Halberd—emerges, life and death swirling in its wake.
Old friends are gone, leaving only the Xuan Divine Weapon behind.
The world is always changing—forever in flux. Jill Young knew that, regardless of everything else, even just her battle with "The Divine" in New York would change everything, forever. A brand new era was surging in with the wildest waves, and everything familiar would soon vanish without a trace.
After this battle, what would America do? What would the Zade House do? What about the other countries? And her own homeland? She had seen firsthand how the fleet hunted down the Black Death Emperor—would she be next to get that kind of treatment?
Whether it happens or not, she knew one thing for sure—she’d be right in the middle of this raging tide, facing the wildest currents and the heaviest pressure from all over the world.
But...
But—
No matter how the rules of the world change, I want to seek out something that never changes. If this world is destined to be swept away by tides and storms, then I choose to be the stubborn stone that stands firm.
Let the raging waves swallow the sky—nothing can move the place where I stand, nothing can bend the way I hold myself!
The world may change, but I will not. The universe may shift, but I remain the same.
This is me. This is my extraordinary path!
So, Xuan Divine Weapon, the name I give you is—
Eternal Edge!
Crackling gold exploded everywhere—a heavy, massive, pitch-black weapon materialized in Jill Young's hand. It was not quite a blade, nor an axe, nor a hammer; it simply defied all known categories of weapon. But from the very moment it came into existence, Jill Young was in love with it.
Because it was, quite simply, strong enough.
Unbelievably strong!
Stronger than any Xuan Divine Weapon she'd ever seen—more in tune with her spirit than any before!
Deep red veins crawled across the pitch-black surface, glowing with a heat that pulsed like a demon breathing. The power radiated sky-high, and with Jill Young's current strength, the weapon's weight was just right.
The Divine's face twisted in shock—he could feel the terrifying aura of this monstrous weapon. He wanted to switch tactics, but it was too late. Jill Young swung Eternal Edge, tearing through the violet thunder, and with a thunderous crash, sent The Divine flying at supersonic speed into the distance.
"My Xuan Divine Weapon..." Jill stroked Eternal Edge, which hummed in delight, basking in her affection. Suddenly, she understood: "My weapon can transform!"
She flicked her wrist—Eternal Edge rang out. Its armor plates shifted, the grip extended, and in a blink, it morphed into a wild, over-the-top war halberd, like a souped-up version of a classic polearm.
"What a weapon!" First time using it, and it was clearly an oddball, but somehow she already knew exactly how to wield it.
"This is your first form. From now on, you'll be known as the Eternal Halberd!"
Jill swung the Eternal Halberd with both hands, her body slicing through the air at breakneck speed, chasing after the golden giant she'd just smacked away.
Meanwhile, deep in hyperspace, at Infinity Point, things were getting even more intense.
The Nature Pope doubled the resources for a full-on assault, plus sent in five avatar bodies at once—like the sky itself was collapsing. When the power gap is this huge, war's outcome isn't up to anyone's will.
Susan Morrow was drenched in sweat, barely holding on.
Suddenly, a blue-white beam shot from the crown above her head, slicing a hulking monster clean in half like a laser—saving Jonathan's skin. More beams flashed out, cutting through anything in their way, no hesitation. As Eternal Edge took shape, the crown seemed to power up, getting way more intense.
But when an army falls, it falls hard. The portal at Infinity Point kept growing, and the monsters just kept coming. Even with the sword-like blue beams slashing everywhere, Jonathan and Phyllis Zade's defenses were hanging by a thread.
Jonathan was soaked in blood—just a moment ago, he felt light as air, now the pressure was crushing. In just a few minutes, he was panting hard; the fight was just that intense.
"Catch!" Phyllis Zade flipped her oversized katana, spinning it through two monsters before sending it Jonathan's way. Like he had eyes in the back of his head, Jonathan snatched the hilt and cleared the field with a flash of steel.
"This sword rocks!" With it in hand, Jonathan turned into a total badass.
"It's yours—hold the line for me." Phyllis didn't waste words, turning from the fire zone and heading for Susan Morrow.
Jonathan kept one eye on her, even while fighting. They'd battled side by side for a while, but his gaze was still a little cold.
He didn't trust the red-haired woman.
But Phyllis was maxed out for a human, and so was Susan Morrow. Now, without her sword and no other weapon in sight, Phyllis probably couldn't do any real harm to Aunt Susan. So... let's see what she's up to. Her motives are way too suspicious.
"I need to ask you something." If she came back to talk at a time like this, it had to be important. Susan Morrow opened her eyes and looked at her. "What is it?"
"Can you... find him?"
"Who?"
"You know—'that guy.'" Phyllis Zade carefully said the name: "Zade."
Susan Morrow's brow instantly furrowed.
Phyllis repeated herself, dead serious: "Can you use hyperspace to find Zade, confirm his location? This is super important—please, you have to tell me."
"You don't even have to ask—I've been working on it for ages." Ever since she found the cure for total genetic collapse, Susan Morrow had been chasing this down. Her biggest priority wasn't fighting the Nature Pope—it was dragging Adam Zade out, teleporting him into her hands, and tearing him to pieces.
But unfortunately...
"Sadly, I still haven't found where he is."
Phyllis grew weirdly anxious. "Is it totally blocked, or is it just that you haven't had enough time?"
"No idea." Susan Morrow hadn't been running hyperspace long—no matter how much her family tried to boost her, she couldn't hit Susan Qiong's level right off the bat.
"The thing is, we're out of time. Hyperspace is about to fall."
"Is that so..." Phyllis's eyes flickered, then she hid it. She gripped the vial in her hand but didn't use it.
"Listen up—hyperspace cannot fall into the Nature Pope's hands, or we're totally doomed! There's only one thing left to do..." Susan Morrow looked toward the side room, not hesitating: "Do what she did back then—all over again."
