It's Most Comfortable in My Own Nest

Grace was sound asleep when she was suddenly grabbed and dragged over. Drowsy and confused, she mumbled, "What are you doing?"

Evan Xiao’s face was dark and unreadable.

Ray, their little dragon, crawled to the edge of the bed, his eyes brimming with tears as he called out, "Mommy."

"Ray, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Grace went over and asked.

"Mommy," Ray sniffled. "I want to sleep with Mommy and Daddy."

Grace turned to glance at Evan Xiao after hearing this.

His expression grew even stormier.

"Um... How about I take you back to your own bed?"

"No, no! I want Mommy, and Daddy too..." Ray started rolling around again.

"Alright," Evan Xiao suddenly spoke up. "Mommy and Daddy will sleep with you tonight."

Ray giggled through his tears, "Okay!" His eyes shone with anticipation as he looked at them.

"Get in bed," Evan Xiao said to Grace.

Grace climbed in and lay down on the inside.

Then Evan Xiao lay down on the outside and said to Ray, "Can you sleep now?"

Ray stretched himself out, pressing close to Grace. Then he said, "Divine Father, come closer."

Evan Xiao glanced at Grace. She lay there casually, not speaking or looking at him, her slender finger gently stroking Ray's horn.

What an act!

Was this her real reason for keeping Ray here tonight?

But Evan Xiao couldn't bear to see Ray disappointed, so he moved closer to the inside.

Ray finally closed his eyes, a sweet smile on his face as he quickly drifted off to sleep.

Evan Xiao planned to take Grace back, but when he turned around, she was already asleep!

Mother and son fell asleep at exactly the same speed—perfect synchronization.

Seeing how peacefully they both slept, he decided not to wake Grace. He got up quietly, planning to spend the night elsewhere.

Unexpectedly, just as he got out of bed, Ray's voice came in a secret Drake transmission: "Divine Father, where are you going? Aren't you going to sleep with Ray?"

Evan Xiao turned to look at him. Ray's sleepy, wide eyes gazed up at him, clearly very tired.

"Divine Father is just going to get a drink of water. I'll be right back," Evan Xiao said gently.

"Okay! Divine Father, hurry back!"

Evan Xiao got up, had a sip of water, then lay back down. "Don't worry, Ray. Divine Father isn't going anywhere. I'll sleep with you tonight."

"Mm!" Ray rolled over to snuggle closer and fell asleep right next to him.

Evan Xiao watched her adorable sleeping face, his heart filling with a soft tenderness.

He imitated Grace, reaching out a finger to gently stroke Ray's horn.

Ray burrowed contentedly into his arms and fell into a deep sleep.

Grace woke up and found Ray was no longer in bed.

Startled, she quickly checked her Sanctum.

Thankfully, Ray was still there.

He was curled up, fast asleep, in Cutie Pie's cozy nest!

Last night, squeezed between the two of them, he could barely move! His own nest was so much more comfortable...

Grace smiled at him and sent her soul out.

As soon as she did, she realized her hand was resting on Evan Xiao's stomach!
