"Who was that guy who came to get you last night? Does he really live at your place?"
Back in Lynn Chen's room, Yolanda Fang didn't bother with modesty and immediately stripped off her clothes, revealing her slender waist and the two firm peaks hidden behind her black bra.
Lynn Chen flopped onto the bed. "Don't even mention it. He's just the kid of one of my mom's old classmates, shamelessly mooching off us for ages now."
"No way, how come you never brought him up before?"
"How am I supposed to talk about something like that? What if people get the wrong idea?"
Lynn Chen rolled over. "I don't even know if he'll be living here until graduation. Just thinking about it annoys me."
"Why doesn't he just rent a place?"
"Because his family has no money, obviously."
Lynn said it offhand, then realized it sounded a bit harsh, so she added, "His mom's an elementary school teacher, and I guess she doesn't trust him to live alone."
"Oh."
Yolanda nodded thoughtfully.
"Don't tell me you like him? Sure, he's not as tall, rich, and handsome as your Ethan Yi, but at least he's honest—and way easier to get than Ethan. Aren't you always saying you want to make a move on Ethan but never succeed? Why not start with this guy instead? I can set you up, let you try him out first, and since your house is so big, he could just move in with you too."
Lynn Chen looked at Yolanda and giggled.
Yolanda rolled her eyes. "Forget it, do you think I don't know what you're up to? You just want me to help get him out of your house, right? Keep dreaming. I'm only interested in Ethan Yi, unless your guy can beat Ethan at soccer. Then maybe I'd consider it."
"Beat Ethan Yi at soccer? Yeah right, that's not happening. Sigh."
Lynn shook her head, looking resigned. "I guess I'll have to wait until he graduates and takes the college entrance exam before I can finally get rid of him."
"Why do you dislike him so much?" Yolanda asked curiously, not understanding why Lynn was so harsh toward Evan Lin.
"Dislike him?" Lynn was taken aback. "I wouldn't say I dislike him, it's just that he gets on my nerves. It's like you—don't you get annoyed by all those guys who confess to you but you don't like?"
"Not really. Hardly anyone dares to confess to me now—most of the guys who tried, I beat up myself."
Yolanda's words left Lynn speechless.
"Forget it, forget it, let's not talk about it. Come shower with me—it's been ages since I got to savor my little Lynn's soft skin."
"You're so annoying!"
Lynn Chen blushed, helpless against her unruly best friend.
Yolanda dragged Lynn to the bathroom and quickly stripped her down. The two didn't do much—just scrubbed each other's backs and occasionally snuck in a playful grope.
Inside the bathroom, the sound of water and laughter mixed together.
At five in the morning, Evan Lin opened his eyes and sat up in bed.
"Now that I've reached the first layer of qi-refining, my mental and physical strength have improved a lot. Just a few hours of sleep and I feel full of energy."
"If I'd had this kind of physique before, studying would have been easy no matter what."
He sat up and spent ten minutes running a small circulation according to the Grand Dao Qi-Refining Art.
The so-called ten layers of qi-refining are about opening ten qi acupoints in the body.
Qi acupoints are different from meridians. Acupoints are places that store qi, while meridians are just pathways.
The first layer of qi-refining opens the Yongquan acupoint, located at the front third of the sole of the foot.
This acupoint governs kidney essence and is also known as one of the longevity points.
After running a small circulation, Evan guided his qi into the Yongquan acupoint, forming a tiny vortex.
"To break through the first layer, I need to fill the Yongquan acupoint with qi. At this rate, it'll take some time."
"No matter what, physical fitness has to come first. Cultivators use their bodies as a medium to transform spiritual energy. Without a strong body, it's impossible."
With this in mind, Evan got up and went to the bathroom to wash up.
There's only one bathroom on the second floor.
Evan Lin woke up early; Lynn Chen and the others were still asleep, probably because they stayed up too late last night.
He walked into the bathroom and, as soon as he opened the door, caught a faint scent in the air.
It was the scent of body fragrance.
The entire bathroom was filled with that faint, fresh scent.
Next, Evan noticed two sets of underwear left on the changing platform in the shower area.
One was a black bra and panties; the other was pink.
They probably forgot to put them away after showering last night.
Her exquisite profile wasn't just a simple curve—it was more like a dreamy palette painted with vibrant colors.
Her long, painterly eyes brimmed with indescribable emotions.
She wore a white gauze nightgown, revealing a stretch of delicate, snow-white calf. Her hair floated lightly in the breeze, bare feet on the balcony floor—she looked like a fairy descending to the mortal world.
In the dim light, in the cool breeze.
Evan couldn't help but glance at the girl again.
His eyes were filled with admiration.
He hadn't expected to meet such a girl here—graceful, intelligent, ethereal. If she were on the Immortal Martial Continent, she would surely be counted among the most beautiful immortal fairies.
Evan couldn't help but sigh in admiration.
Molly Su sensed Evan's gaze, tilted her head slightly, and glanced at him.
The young man stood at a crossroads in the residential complex.
His feet were planted on the marble pavement, his head raised, looking her way.
Molly Su nodded slightly at Evan as a greeting, then turned and went back into her room, closing the door behind her.
Her face was unusually pale.
"It's starting again..."
Molly Su bit her lip, lay down on the bed, wrapped herself tightly in the quilt, and couldn't help but let out a soft groan.
