Passing the Message

Driven by the Six-Eared Macaque, the plan to attack Mount Hua was set into motion immediately.

Unlike the sneak attack on Kunlun Mountain, Six-Eared Macaque, now confident in his strength to challenge Monkey, chose this time to mobilize his entire force. He wanted the grandest possible ceremony to welcome the woman who could prove he was the one true Sun Wukong.

Of course, for Lionback Kingdom, a full-scale expedition was not so simple.

Unlike the forces of Louis Quickpaw and Many-Eyes the Centipede, Lionback Kingdom had inherited Blossom Mountain's technology but failed to develop it properly. As a result, this vast army lacked enough warships for transport, and their supply of equipment and provisions was in complete disarray.

Even so, this did not shake Six-Eared Macaque's resolve. He ordered Many-Eyes the Centipede to prepare within three days. No matter how ready they were, the army would march after three days.

Meanwhile, King Roc, who had proposed the plan, received a different assignment—to lead the vanguard scouts and reconnoiter Mount Hua's defenses.

When King Roc emerged from the audience hall, smiling and holding the command token, King Liontusk hurriedly pulled him aside and whispered, "Is it really wise to attack Mount Hua at this time?"

"Of course it's wise. There's no better time than now," King Roc replied cheerfully. "Back when Lord Lao killed Belle, that crazy monkey nearly destroyed the Three Realms. If Six-Eared Macaque now marches with banners to steal his betrothed bride, what do you think he'll do?"

King Liontusk was stunned by these words.

Glancing back at the audience hall, King Roc chuckled softly and sighed, "That kind of master—I can't serve him. While his foundation is still shaky, it's best to push him to attack Mount Hua and let him clash head-on with Monkey. Then we can sit back and reap the rewards. If we wait until his power is solid, we'll spend our lives in fear."

Before leaving, King Roc patted King Liontusk on the shoulder and said, "Keep your eyes open. Just put on a show, and if anything seems off, run for it. Got it?"

"Got it," King Liontusk nodded silently.

After bidding farewell to King Liontusk, King Roc bowed his head and walked down the narrow corridor, his gaze darting nervously as if afraid of being followed.

He hurried down the long steps, quickly reached the parade ground, picked out a few demon generals who had once served under him, and soared eastward into the sky.

Once King Roc had left, a minor demon in the distance turned and rushed off in the opposite direction.

......

"He just whispered a few words with King Liontusk?"

"Yes."

"He didn't do anything else?"

"No. He assembled his men and left right away."
