Feast of Ten Thousand Ghosts Part 6

In an instant, everyone turned to look at John Chou. It was true—just as the Bloodshroud Ghost Domain was mentioned, I saw every Specter in the room, all wearing expressions of fear. What exactly is going on?

"Heh, should I call you Deathbane now, or is 'little rascal' better?"

"Call me whatever you want. But John Chou, about that question I asked you earlier—you still haven't answered." Damian Chen said, lowering his bamboo stick and resting his hands on his knees, watching John Chou with keen interest.

"That's right, John Chou. How did you manage to open the Bloodshroud Ghost Domain? You didn't even give me a heads-up." Redmond said, while Rachel Lan could only shake her head in resignation.

"The source, of course. Back then, John Chou relied on the Bloodshroud Ghost Domain to make countless sorcerers and ghosts pale with fear. Many who barely escaped from it would rather die than remember what happened inside. Am I right, Ethan?" Redmond said.

As soon as Rachel Lan finished speaking, Ethan Zhang’s expression grew solemn. He raised his cup.

"Drink up. Let's not talk about anything else. Redmond, you too. Today is my birthday, and you're bringing up all these unpleasant things—what's the point?"

Only later did I learn that the Feast of Ten Thousand Ghosts lasted for seven days and seven nights. After dinner, Ethan Zhang carried a cup and walked away, table by table offering toasts. Rufina Howard handed him a wine jug.

Rachel Lan also ran off, laughing lightly among a crowd of ghosts, chatting away. Redmond went out, saying he wanted to check on his subordinates to see if they were eating well.

At this moment, Redmond sat down beside me, holding his wine glass. I shifted slightly, and suddenly realized Redmond had kicked off his shoes, stretched out his legs, and rested them on my thigh. She looked at me with a thousand expressions, raised her glass, while John Chou drank his wine, watching everything below with a half-smile.

"What... what are you doing, Redmond?" My tongue stumbled, head lowered, not quite sure where to look. Redmond’s demeanor was utterly seductive.

"What's wrong, Ethan Zhang? Don't want to drink with me?"

I raised my glass and took a sip. Redmond pressed closer, her head leaning against my ear, breathing softly.

"Ethan, can you promise me one thing?"

I hurriedly nodded.

"Where did you hide the Dreamshade Stone?"

Suddenly, I snapped out of it and quickly put Redmond’s leg down, then stood up and looked at her, saying three words.

"I don’t know."

Redmond gave me a wicked, charming look, then burst out laughing and collapsed onto the table, completely drunk.

I was feeling a bit dizzy and lightheaded too—after all, I’d drunk quite a lot. Meanwhile, John Chou just smiled.
