I crouched quietly beside Rosie Liu, glaring at her with vicious intent. My heart was completely overtaken by excitement, mixed with anger. I stretched out my hand, step by step, closing in on Rosie.
"Ethan, what are you doing?" Ken Wang seemed to sense something was wrong and came over, patting me on the shoulder.
Suddenly, I stood up, grinning wickedly at him. He looked at me, bewildered and uneasy.
With a muffled thud, Ken Wang collapsed to the floor—I'd struck him with all my strength, my fist landing in his abdomen, then slammed the edge of my hand down on the back of his neck.
After Ken Wang fell, I dragged him into an abandoned classroom—the walls already cracked. Then I dragged Rosie Liu to a classroom on the fourth floor, took out her phone, searched for a while, and found Yvonne Liu’s number. I dialed it.
"Hello? Rosie, what's wrong..."
I put on a sinister smile.
"Yvonne, come alone. The place is behind your sister’s university, that half-demolished classroom building."
Before Yvonne Liu could finish speaking, I hung up the phone.
It's time. This ends now.
I laughed wildly, but I knew my body was no longer my own. This character had taken over completely—he was the Slasher.
But at that moment, I noticed Rosie Liu seemed to be waking up, though she didn’t dare make a sound. I glimpsed one of her fingers twitching slightly, but the character controlling me didn’t notice.
I walked to the window, as if savoring something. Gazing out at the gray, hazy sky, I wore a twisted smile, enjoying this sick delight.
Suddenly, there was a commotion behind me. I turned to see Rosie Liu running, her hands still tied with rope, but she crashed through the broken wooden door, fell, scrambled up again, and ran.
I dashed after her, clutching a small dagger, laughing maniacally. She wasn’t running fast.
"Ha ha, run, keep running! I'll gouge out your eyes first, so you won't look at me with that gaze anymore..."
I shouted as I chased after her, gripping the dagger, getting closer and closer. I reached out, grabbed Rosie Liu’s hair, yanked her back hard, and with a thud, she fell to the ground.
I raised the dagger, pressing it against her neck. Rosie Liu didn’t dare make a sound, tears streaming down her face.
"Run! Why aren’t you running now? Just looking at your eyes makes me furious, ha ha ha..."
I viciously pressed the dagger in front of Rosie Liu’s eyes. With my other hand, I pried open her eyelids, waving the blade before her.
"Don't move now. I didn't bring my tools today. If I mess up, I might ruin your face. Haha..."
"Stop."
A slightly angry female voice rang out. Yvonne Liu came running, out of breath, a gun in her hand pointed straight at me.
"You finally made it, Captain Liu. Heh. No one else knows about this, right?"
Yvonne Liu nodded, her gaze filled with terror as she looked at me, but her eyes were fixed entirely on Rosie Liu.
"Drop the gun, or I won't be so nice. Does it really not matter what happens to your precious sister?"
My heart was completely overtaken by a gloomy darkness, and a nameless anger surged. My body no longer felt like my own—it was consumed by the role.
"Let my sister go." Yvonne Liu said, her finger resting on the trigger.
I grabbed Rosie Liu's hair viciously, pulling her in front of me, pressing the dagger against her throat.
"Put the gun down. Didn't you hear me?"
I shouted again, but Yvonne Liu still refused to lower her gun.
Still, Yvonne Liu wouldn't put the gun down easily. I pressed the sharp dagger against Rosie Liu, making a shallow cut. Rosie screamed and started to cry.
"Sis, don't worry about me! Shoot! Shoot him!"
With a clatter, Yvonne Liu dropped the pistol to the ground. I smiled, watching her, and made her kick the gun over. I shoved Rosie Liu aside and snatched up the pistol.
Suddenly, Yvonne Liu lunged at me.
"You want to die..." I pulled the trigger. Click—the gun was empty. In that moment of surprise, I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen as Yvonne Liu tackled me to the ground, her powerful hands pinning my arms, her head smashing into mine.
Bang! My head spun with dizziness. Yvonne Liu pressed me down, locking my arms behind my back.
"Rosie, call the police."
Rosie Liu, trembling, came over and started searching me.
"Sis, my phone isn't on him."
"Use mine."
Rosie Liu let out a shaky laugh as I struggled desperately.
"Why did you kill Dexter Sun? He was trying to help you, Ethan Zhang. Tell me, why?"
"Heh, heh, there's no reason. You all have everything, and me? I have nothing! Hahaha, so what if I killed? Why should I be the one to suffer?"
I shouted, and suddenly, Yvonne Liu seemed to drop her guard at my outburst. I broke free, rolled to the side, grabbed the dagger, and stabbed at Yvonne Liu.
Yvonne Liu clutched her abdomen, looking at me in agony. Behind her, her sister attacked me with all her strength. I blocked Rosie's weak punches and grabbed her by the throat.
"Heh, it's over now. After tonight, no one will ever know about me. You tried to trick me, but I almost fell for it. I've covered my tracks perfectly—there's no evidence left. My grades at school aren't bad, and there's nothing in that suitcase to find."
I laughed maniacally, slamming Rosie Liu against the wall. Brandishing the dagger, I screamed as I drove it toward her eyes.

"These eyes... If I dig them out, you won't be able to see anymore, haha..."
"Rosie, run!" Suddenly, Yvonne Liu used all her strength to shove me away, grabbing my waist as Rosie fled.
I stabbed Yvonne Liu in the back with the dagger, again and again.
"Sis..."
No matter how many times I stabbed, Yvonne Liu's arms stayed locked around me, refusing to let go.
"Run..."
Yvonne Liu said her final words, then lost consciousness. Rosie turned and ran. I couldn't move. Finally, I pried Yvonne Liu off me, looked around—this was the fourth floor. I climbed out the window, grabbing the old drainpipe, and slid down.
As soon as I hit the ground, I rushed to the exit. Sure enough, Rosie Liu came running out, tears streaming down her face. She froze when she saw me.
"Where are you going? Heh, isn't your sister important to you? Why are you leaving her behind?"
Rosie Liu screamed, her anger replaced with a desperate fury, ready to fight me to the end.
I dragged Rosie Liu back to the fourth floor. Yvonne Liu lay quietly on the ground, her blood staining the floor red.
"You're not human, not human at all!" Rosie Liu screamed and sobbed. I slapped her hard, twice.
"That's right, I'm not human. You all have everything, and me? I have nothing—especially your eyes. Come, let me dig them out."
Driven nearly mad, I grinned menacingly, pressing Rosie Liu against the wall, dagger raised.
"Don't look at me like that. I've had enough. Enough! All of you, die! Die!"
I raised the dagger, stabbing at Rosie's eyes. Suddenly, I felt something grab my hand.
Outside, the sky grew darker. Rain began to fall.
"Give us back our eyes."
In an instant, I saw them—though my character could not. Five female ghosts surrounded me, each hand gripping mine, stopping the dagger.
I looked around in terror, not knowing what was happening.
All around, the ghosts sobbed. My character sensed something strange, but felt no fear.
With a crack, I turned my head and saw the glass shatter. I stood up, laughing maniacally.
"So what? You're here, aren't you? Heh, I killed you—what of it? Want revenge? I heard that if you die without your eyes, you still can't see in death. Don't you want your eyes back?"
Suddenly, the five ghosts let go, fear showing on their faces as they drifted away. I sensed a dark energy swirling around me.
Behind me, there was a sound. Rosie Liu stood up, clutching a shard of glass, and lunged at me.
With a slash, my dagger sank into Rosie's chest. Blood bloomed, and she collapsed, eyes wide open.
"I told you, don't look at me like that!" I screamed, grabbing Rosie's head, pinning her down, and gouged out her eyes with the dagger. Blood dripped onto my hand.
I laughed madly, shouting as the storm raged outside.
"It's over—everything is over! Haha! Take a good look. Treat me like I'm nothing, and this is what you get! Haha..."
After a while, I clutched my head and began to sob, not knowing why.
"Nothing. No one wants me. Why? Why do I have nothing?"
Footsteps echoed, slowly approaching.
