As mentioned before, Hong Kong is a complicated city, with tangled webs of influence from both local and international powers. Thanks to the strategic brainpower behind the scenes and Jonathan Black's capable team, Eternal Night Holdings Group (Hong Kong Division) has been thriving. If you take a peek at the lobby of Eternal Night Tower these days, the endless stream of job seekers is a living advertisement for the group's growing influence.
But when it comes to total control, there's still a long way to go—plenty of people refuse to play by the rules. Besides, Jill Young's idea of 'total control' is ridiculously high, almost impossible to achieve. Forget about a global city—even in a tiny village, nobody can really call all the shots.
In Jill Young's subjective timeline, she spent more than half a year adventuring with Joan, but in Earth time, it hasn't been long at all. The Shanghai disaster happened on October 19, and now it's just early November. Even if Jonathan Black is a powerhouse, he's not a miracle worker—there's no way to completely transform the company overnight. The fact that Eternal Night Holdings Group has managed to gain a foothold in Hong Kong and carve out some territory is already impressive.
Still, just because Jonathan Black can't pull it off doesn't mean Jill Young can't.
"This is my specialty—I've got it down to a science. Leave it to me and you won't go wrong." Jill Young started sharing her life hacks: "Listen up, little cousin, let me tell you—being a mob boss, it's as hard as you make it, but it can be simple too. Cut out all the nonsense; the real essentials boil down to three things: power, reputation, and loyal brothers. If you've got the strength to do whatever you want, the fame that draws everyone to your side, and a crew of ride-or-die buddies, you can walk tall wherever you go."
"Hmm..." Jonathan Black nodded thoughtfully. Power, reputation, loyal brothers—he knew about all that, and honestly, he wasn't doing too bad in any of those areas. But compared to Jill Young, he was still a ways off, and maybe that's what made the difference.
Take 'loyal brothers,' for example—what kind of friends did he have? There's Abo, Uncle Chao, Glasses Girl—they're technically his subordinates, but kind of friends too. So yeah, his circle is made up of folks like them.
Now look at the Queen's friends—what are they like? The Queen's friends... well, that's me, Susan Show! Instantly, it's clear who's on top, right? The Queen's circle really is the cream of the crop!
So Jonathan Black nodded in agreement: "You can't argue with power. With Jill Young's abilities, she could probably take on the entire Eternal Night Holdings Group single-handedly and nobody would know how to deal with her. If you had skills like hers, I wouldn't have anything to say about your strength."
Even though he hadn't witnessed the battle in Magic City firsthand, Jonathan Black still knew plenty. Especially since Jill Young stopped by Hong Kong before going to sleep and filled him in on a lot. If they were ever on opposite sides, just talking about weapons alone—how would you fight? With what? Her ability to slice bullets with a sword is terrifying and unbeatable, making the CS series firearms totally useless. With what most gangs can muster, there's basically no conventional weapon that could threaten Jill Young.
Unless she's in some seriously messed-up situation, facing national-level military crackdowns or totally stacked odds, Jill Young is basically a walking cheat code in the modern world.
Of course, you can't count the other Chosen Ones out. There's always someone better out there—just look at the Black Death Emperor. He’s proof that Jill Young is still a long way from being truly unbeatable.
"Mmm-hmm!" Jill Young nodded smugly. "Who's stronger, me or Big Lumber? Hard to say, but when it comes to being a mob boss, I've got it covered. Fame, though—that’s a bit trickier. What am I supposed to do, start yelling in the streets?"
"About 'fame,' I've actually got a good idea." Jonathan Black tossed his tablet over. "The Global Observation Agency website just dropped something big, and it's all about reputation. I'm not a Chosen One, so I don't know all the details, but I can tell you it's a great way to get your name out there."
"Oh yeah? Alright, let me take a look." Jill Young grabbed the tablet, tapped around, and logged into the Global Observation Agency Official Website. Her eyebrow shot up instantly: "Whoa, this site got a major upgrade! I was half asleep before and didn’t notice—this interface is totally transformed!"
After a little time away, the Global Observation Agency's site suddenly looked super fancy. Whoever set it up must've cracked some serious tech problems—the old clunky look was just a technical hiccup. Now, it’s slick and stylish. Function-wise, it’s not much different from a regular forum, but it feels way more comfortable.
The forum layout is just like Dragon's Den—tons of different sections, so people aren’t all crammed into one messy board anymore. No wonder the Black Death Emperor's news just flooded the place; it was because everyone landed in the same section.
There's still no admin, so no sticky or featured posts, but everyone’s super eager to manually bump the hot topics. The forum now supports multimedia—pictures, audio, even videos can all be uploaded.
But none of that is what really grabs attention. Jill Young's eyes darted around and locked onto two big words, and her face immediately went slack with disbelief: "You’ve got to be kidding me—Heavenly Ranking?"
"Yep, Heavenly Ranking." Jonathan Black nodded calmly. "I was just as shocked when I got the news—the Global Observation Agency is officially ranking Chosen Ones. That’s huge..."
"No, no, no, you’re missing my point—I mean, Heavenly Ranking? That name is so tacky!" Jill Young clicked her tongue and shook her head. "'Heavenly Ranking' has been done to death—ever since web novels fifteen years ago, it’s all Heaven, Earth, Human Rankings, Black-White-Grey Lists. If it was just some private fan list, whatever, I wouldn’t blame them for the lack of taste. But the official Global Observation Agency rolling with this? The class just dropped! So basic, so unoriginal!"

Jonathan Black slapped his forehead: "That’s what you care about? Of course it should be called the Heavenly Ranking—it’s a ranking for Chosen Ones! What else would you call it, the Langya List?"
"No way! If you ask me, it should be something like 'True*Ultra-Dimensional Cosmic Hero Record XII—Heroic Era.' Way fancier, right?" No matter how scrambled Jonathan Black’s brain was, or how tacky the name 'Heavenly Ranking' was, Jill Young was already diving into the content, totally pumped.
After a quick browse, Jill Young basically figured out what the Heavenly Ranking was all about.
Getting your name on the list is easy—there are just three steps.
First, you register an account with the Global Observation Agency—yep, before, all the usernames were just made up and you could change your handle every time you posted. But now the site finally has a real membership system. And this account isn’t just any old signup; somehow, this mysterious website makes you bind your account to your Fated Mark.
No personal info needed except your Fated Mark, but that’s even safer than a fingerprint—one mark per person, no fakes allowed.
You can pick any nickname you want on the agency’s site, but you can’t just use any profile pic. Thanks to some mysterious black-tech, after you register and verify your Fated Mark, the Global Observation Agency automatically generates a few avatar options. These aren’t your real face, but they’re always tied to you somehow—maybe it’s a distinctive trait, maybe it’s abstract, but you’ll know exactly what it means when you see it.
For example, someone with the username 'Octopus Who Hates Diving' gets a cartoon octopus blowing bubbles. Another guy named 'Unlimited Lifespan' gets a stinky monkey slapping its own butt as an avatar. You get the idea.
Once you’ve registered your account, you can check your ranking.
In the official 'Heavenly Ranking' section, you won’t see the whole leaderboard at once. It’s more like checking your college entrance exam score: you can only look up your own ranking. Just tap a button, wait a few seconds, and ding! Your Heavenly Ranking pops up.
But just seeing your ranking isn’t enough—if you want to be on the list, you’ve got to show it off.
The Global Observation Agency Official Website has a one-click share and display feature. When your result appears, you can instantly generate a Heavenly Ranking Card with just a tap. The card’s simple: avatar and rank, no other personal info. You can add a few lines of your own, and overall, it’s kind of like a Yu-Gi-Oh or Three Kingdoms Kill card—simple layout, but it looks great.
The card is linked to your account, just like a forum signature. You can choose to display your Heavenly Ranking Card in any forum section or on any post you make on the official site.
The higher your rank, the fancier your card. There are different tiers—get to the top and you’ll even unlock shiny special effects. Show-offs are gonna love it; you can flash your awesome signature everywhere you go.
Of course, you can also choose not to show it at all. If you never display your Heavenly Ranking Card, your rank won’t show up on the forums or even on the official site.
The Global Observation Agency site doesn’t show the full leaderboard, but it does highlight a select few. Once you’ve checked your own ranking, you’ll enter a special showcase area.
The showcase is split in two: the top section displays the legendary top eight—so you can gawk at the true big shots. The lower section shows you, plus twelve people ranked near you, so you know exactly where you stand in the pecking order.
But if you never display your Heavenly Ranking Card, even on the official highlights, you’ll just show up as a question mark and a generic silhouette—no real info revealed.
Of course, even if the official site doesn’t show everything, there are always fan-made stats threads. For example, 'Octopus Who Hates Diving' and a user called 'StatsSis' put together a stats thread that’s super detailed and covers everything, so it’s always a hit in the manually pinned section. After every update, tons of people go there to show off their rankings.
One last thing—the Heavenly Ranking updates fast, once a week. That’s slower than the Dian Niang monthly ticket chart, but let’s be real, the difficulty level isn’t even close.
"Looks like the Global Observation Agency is getting creative! Oh right, isn’t Qian Kun one of the Six Pillars? Bet he’s behind this." Jill Young started registering with interest: "Alright, let’s see what my Heavenly Ranking is…"
