Tracker Bee's Favorite Pollen
The little immortal in charge of tidying up Radiant Hall heard the commotion and came in. Seeing the scattered, torn book pages all over the floor, she asked in confusion, "Your Highness, this book..."
"Just clean it up." Evan Xiao stood up and walked out.
...
Grace followed the Ten Wilds Herbal Codex to gather some herbs for the divine medicine.
Then she entered her Sanctum to brew a special potion.
With her current cultivation, she could just barely manage to concoct a divine medicine.
However, this Pill Furnace wasn't quite up to the task anymore.
It almost exploded.
Once the liquid medicine was ready, she poured it into a small Enchanted Vial.
Then, she carefully coated the outside of the vial with a layer of Tracker's Pollen.
It was a special kind of pollen.
Tracker Bee's absolute favorite.
Just as she finished, Rina Chu came in, looking worried.
"Grace, what do we do now? I just asked Grandpa Gene—he said Leon Zane is hesitant because of the Divine Empress, so he won't force us to leave. But if Crown Prince Evan Xiao tells us to go, we have no choice... Grandpa Gene can't protect us anymore."
"Don't worry. Tonight, I'm going to see Crown Prince Evan Xiao myself," Grace said.
"Tonight?"
"Mhm."
"But what if he refuses to see you?"
"I've got a way," Grace said. "Don't worry about it."
"Alright then... Go for it! Best outcome would be if you end up pregnant!" Rina Chu said, half-serious, half-joking.
Grace smacked her on the back of the head. "Pregnant? What are you thinking?"
"Isn't that what going to see him at night means...?"
"I'm just requesting an audience—he definitely won't see me! The reason I'm going at night is because it's dark! I'm sneaking in!" Grace said. "Seriously, you... You've never even held a man's hand, but your mind is so... so..."
"Who says I've never held a man's hand?" Rina Chu protested. "I grabbed Leon Zane's hand today!"
"You call that holding hands?"
"Punching... still counts as touching! It's basically the same!"
"Hey, speaking of that—how did you suddenly get so strong? He's a Dragon! How did you manage to beat him up like that?"
"Uh... well... he... he was going easy on me! Otherwise, how could I possibly land a hit?" Rina Chu stammered.
"Going easy on you?" Grace was suspicious. "Would he really do something like that?"
"Really! Honestly! He looks like a jerk, but he's actually a good guy. Deep down, he’s got a soft spot for pretty girls."
Grace nodded in agreement. "Leon Zane really is someone worth befriending."
Rina Chu huffed, still unconvinced.
"You know what they say—enemies are drawn together. You two really have that 'frenemy' vibe. Ever thought about marrying him?"
"Marry him?" Rina Chu suddenly shot up. "Grace, are you insulting me?"
"Huh?"
"That perverted creep? You want me to marry him?"
"Weren't you the one who said he's a good guy?"
Rina Chu: "...That's different. No way! Even if every man on earth died, I still wouldn't marry him!"
Grace: "Oh..."
That night, after Goldthread Immortal returned to his true form, Grace quietly called out to the Red-crested Golden Eagle perched in the tree: "Big Scarlet! Hey, Big Scarlet!"
Big Scarlet swooped down from the tree.
"Big Scarlet, take me to Radiant Dawn Palace," Grace said.
