Establishing Prestige in Shadowlin City

"Kid, you dare shout at me? I could kill you right now!" Young Master Hua snarled.

Princess Ivy could no longer tolerate it. She immediately stood up and said to Young Master Hua, "If you have the guts, repeat what you just said. I can make sure you die here on the spot."

Ethan was about to speak, but Evan Chu stopped him. Evan wanted to see how Ivy would handle this. For arrogant young masters like this, killing them was as easy as squashing an ant.

Young Master Hua glanced at Princess Ivy and sneered, "So you need a woman to stand up for you? Pathetic. I’ve really seen it all today! Hahaha!"

As soon as he finished speaking, many people on the second floor joined in the laughter, including the young master who had just invited Ivy and her friends to his mansion.

"Courting death!" Princess Ivy snapped. In a flash, she appeared right in front of Young Master Hua and struck him with a palm, sending him flying several meters and crashing into another table, spilling food and wine all over him.

Everyone thought Young Master Hua would get up immediately, but instead he lay on the ground struggling for a long while. His servant rushed to help him up, but his clothes were already stained with blood and he kept coughing up more.

Princess Ivy was now Ninth-Layer Saint Martial Realm. She already despised Young Master Hua, so she didn’t hold back at all. He was only Fifth-Layer Saint Martial, so it was a miracle she hadn’t killed him outright.

Princess Ivy glared at Young Master Hua and said, "If you value your life, get out of my sight. Otherwise, I’ll kill you right now!"

For a moment, everyone on the second floor was stunned by Princess Ivy’s strength. From her words, they realized something—she was a princess. But which princess?

Anyone who dares kill even the City Lord’s son isn’t someone to mess with. Some worried guests were already slipping away, and the young master who first approached Ivy was about to leave—until Princess Ivy blocked his path.

"Weren’t you just inviting me to your mansion? Why are you trying to run away now? Clearly you weren’t sincere. Don’t think I don’t know what you’re planning—you’re no better than the rest. I’ll teach you a lesson too!" Princess Ivy said coldly.

"How dare you disrespect my young master! Do you know who he is? His sister is the Human King Logan Shaw’s favorite disciple. If you provoke him, you’re basically making an enemy of the Human King. You’d better surrender now, or you’ll regret it!" one of Young Master Hua’s lackeys shouted.

Evan Chu just laughed. "Your sister must be Cindy Cheng, right? So what if she’s strong? Even Logan Shaw backs down when he sees me, let alone a female disciple. Ivy, just kill these people. Don’t let them ruin my drinking mood with Ethan."

"Ivy, let me help! I can’t stand these people either!" Faye Knox said, jumping up.

"Me too!" Roxanne Lin added.

Everyone was stunned—none of these girls looked easy to deal with. More guests realized things were about to get ugly and started running, while Young Master Hua panicked and stammered at the three women, "W-what are you doing? My sister is Logan Shaw’s disciple! If you dare touch me, she’ll never let you go!"

"I can’t stand people like you—acting all arrogant just because you know someone important, as if everyone should be scared. Today I’m going to teach you a lesson," Princess Ivy declared.

Young Master Hua’s lackeys quickly formed a shield around him, one whispering urgently, "Young master, run! All three of them are insanely strong—one’s even a Venerable Realm expert. We can’t protect you!"

"Move! If you don’t want to die, get out of my way—otherwise, you’ll all be killed! How dare you disrespect us, you’re just asking for death!" Princess Ivy snapped.

Young Master Hua had recovered a bit, and glared at Princess Ivy. "You dare injure me? You’re all dead! This is Shadowlin City, my territory!"

Evan Chu turned to Ethan and asked, "How did you end up serving this scum? What happened? We’re brothers—no need to hide anything."

"It’s nothing, really. The City Lord saw my talent and wanted to train me, but the deal was I had to serve his son for two years. After that, I’d be sent to the Human royal capital, and he promised me two Netherghost Violet Orchids," Ethan said helplessly.

"That’s it? The City Lord’s way too stingy—two Netherghost Violet Orchids for two years of babysitting that idiot? Ethan, are you out of your mind?" Evan Chu exclaimed.

All that for two Netherghost Violet Orchids? Maybe only Ethan would put up with it—if it were me, I’d have walked away long ago. Besides, who knows if you’d even get the orchids after two years.

"I know, I know. If it were before, I wouldn’t have agreed. But I’ve been in the Netherworld for a while now, and I’ve learned how rare Netherghost Violet Orchids are. Getting two is already lucky. My strength isn’t as high as yours, so I had to settle for this," Ethan said.

"Brother, you’ve suffered! From now on, you’re free. I’ve already got plenty of Netherghost Violet Orchids. It’s time for us to go home. Once we find Ryan Ouyang, I’ll head to the Death-Tower Grounds and then we can leave," Evan Chu said.

Ethan nodded, then looked at Evan Chu. "But you’ve injured the City Lord’s son—this is serious trouble. The City Lord is a Third-Layer Venerable Martial expert. You guys should leave; I’ll handle things here."

"Handle it? That’d be suicide! Relax, I don’t care about a Third-Layer Venerable. Besides, I’ve got help." Evan Chu smiled, pointing at Sean Xiao who had just appeared on the second floor.

"Qing Shuang, I knew only you could stir up this kind of chaos. What happened this time? Who provoked you? Have you found your friend yet?" Sean Xiao fired off a string of questions as soon as he arrived.

"They disrespected my women. How do you want to handle it? This is my brother Ethan." Evan Chu said to Sean Xiao, then added to Ethan, "Ethan, this is the former master of the Sacred Sword Sect, from my era. Call him Senior Xiao."

"Ethan greets Senior Xiao!" Ethan said respectfully. Just then, dozens of men rushed up to the second floor, dressed in black lotus emblems—except for three, who wore red. Evan Chu realized the Black Lotus Guard Corps and the elite Red Lotus Guard Corps had arrived. Things were about to get interesting…
