Evan Chu slowly withdrew the Chaos Immortal Force from his hand, and the Immortal-Extinguishing Talisman returned to its calm state. He then said, "Domain Lord, thank you for your kindness, but I can't join Martial Spirit Dominion just yet. If you still value me a hundred years from now, I will definitely join then."
Nolan Nangong was a little puzzled by Evan Chu's words and asked, "What do you mean by that? Is there still something you haven't settled? If you just say the word, I'll help you fix it immediately. In the Immortal Realm, there's nothing I, Nolan Nangong, can't smooth over."
"Domain Lord, you're overthinking. I just need to go into seclusion for a while. When the time comes, I'll definitely fulfill today's promise. As for what Solarion Palace and Skyshade Hall did to me today, I've remembered it. For Yvonne Xuan's sake, I can let Solarion Palace off, but Skyshade Hall must be destroyed." Evan Chu said.
"Kid, you've got a big mouth—saying such wild things, and not just once, but twice! You really think you're some big shot? If you have guts, stop relying on others. Come face me yourself!" Hector Vaughn said.
Evan Chu ignored him and instead spoke to Luna not far away: "Luna, take care of yourself. I will come back for you."
"Kid, you're dreaming! I'd rather die than let Luna marry you. Just look at yourself—do you really deserve her?" Xander Xuan said.
Evan Chu hadn't expected Xander Xuan to be this kind of person and was truly disappointed. He said, "Just wait—you'll regret this!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Evan Chu activated Earthshift and dove straight into the ground, vanishing from everyone's sight. His sudden departure left the crowd utterly shocked.
"Who would've thought this guy had such skills! We really worried for nothing. Plenty of people know earth-escape arts, but most leave traces on the surface. He, though, seemed to fuse right into the earth itself. That kind of high-level earth-escape technique is extremely rare," Nolan Nangong said.
"I'm really curious what realm he'll reach in a hundred years. When he comes out, it'll be the start of the next grand auction. Let's see what kind of miracle he'll bring us then. Since he's gone, I'll take my leave as well," said the Sect Master of Loveless Sword Tomb.
"Sect Master, take care. If you have time, come visit Martial Spirit Dominion sometime," Nolan Nangong said.
"Of course I will, but I'll wait until that kid comes back. Nolan Nangong, you've got a good eye to spot such a peerless raw jade first. Make sure you protect him well—otherwise, I won't let you off." With that, he and the black-robed elder left directly.
Xander Xuan and Hector Vaughn both felt embarrassed at this point. Staying here any longer would drive them mad. "Let's go. We'll see what tricks that kid can pull off in a hundred years."
Luna was taken away as well, but in her heart she was smiling: "A hundred years—a hundred years from now, Evan Chu will already be at the Immortal Emperor realm, maybe even ascended to the God Realm. By then, none of you will be his match. In the Immortal Realm, a hundred years in the Timewheel Bracelet is ten thousand years!"
"Domain Lord, we'll take our leave as well. Until fate brings us together again!" said Lynn Ling. She then joined the crowd and left Newcapital City with Roxanne Lin, Serena Frost, and the other women of Dream Spirit Sanctuary.
With that, the grand auction was truly over. Everyone left, safe and sound, but the appearance of the legendary Evan Chu left them all amazed and a little terrified.
They marveled at his Immortal Stones and mysterious identity. His true background was still a puzzle, and everyone hoped one day it would be revealed.
Blazefire Immortal Lord walked up to Nolan Nangong and said, "Subordinate greets the Domain Lord. I failed in my task to bring Lin Feng into Dream Spirit Sanctuary. Please punish me, Domain Lord."
"Blazefire, cut the act in front of me. I bet you picked up plenty of good stuff at the auction—just look at your face," Nolan Nangong said.
Blazefire Immortal Lord's face flushed slightly as he quickly replied, "It was all just stuff that wouldn't catch the Domain Lord's eye. Those Immortal Stones were all given to me by Lin Feng—I didn't have any of my own to buy things with."
"Let's go. We'll head out too. At least we got the Immortal Emperor Treasure Key from this auction. When we have time, let's check out what that treasure really looks like," Nolan Nangong said.
Everyone gradually left, while Evan Chu kept diving deeper underground. He needed a completely safe place to enter the Timewheel Bracelet. Originally, he'd wanted to bring Roxanne Lin and the other two women in, but with so many people around, it would have exposed his secret.
After diving straight down for a full day, Evan Chu finally stopped. He felt he'd reached the earth's core—magma was everywhere, the temperature was frighteningly high. But at his current level, it didn't affect him much.
If it had been before his breakthrough to the second layer of Fireshift, he would've stopped long ago. After surveying the environment, Evan Chu thought it was a pretty good place to train.
But just as he picked a spot and prepared to enter the Timewheel Bracelet, he noticed something strange. Not far from the magma, a patch was shining with white light—such a phenomenon was anything but ordinary.
A sudden thought flashed through his mind: a heavenly treasure? He rushed over quickly. The journey was fairly long; within the magma chamber, it took him about half a stick of incense's time to reach it.
But the closer he got, the lower the temperature became—colder and colder. By the time he reached the glowing object, the surrounding temperature was terrifyingly low.
He looked around again and couldn't help but gasp. The magma here had changed color—from fiery red to silvery white. And the temperature was nothing like flames; instead, it felt like cold fire.
"What is this place? Why are there two completely different phenomena here—ice and fire side by side? There must be something extraordinary here. I can't believe I stumbled onto this by accident—looks like the saying 'survive great calamity, reap great fortune' is true," Evan Chu muttered to himself.
He didn't dare touch the silvery flames lightly. Right now, he felt a chill all over—if even his current physique felt cold, the temperature here must be extreme. He looked at the glowing thing and found it came from a small tree about two meters tall.
On the tree were three crystal-clear fruits, each about the size of an apple. Even from a distance, Evan Chu could sense the powerful energy emanating from them.
"What kind of fruit is this? How could it appear here? This is really strange," Evan Chu muttered.
He gently reached out to touch one of the silvery fruits, but before his hand even got close, a wave of icy energy swept over him...
