We Are So Well Behaved

"Oh, go tidy up if you want! I'm going to rest now." Mia Quinn shooed them away.

Both of them felt their faces flush and walked out together.

Lucia Lu said to Sean Shaw, "Let me walk you out."

Sean Shaw glanced back at the room, but in the end, he was too shy to offer to help clean up, so he just turned and left.

Then, standing under the eaves in the rain outside, he neither left nor spoke.

Lucia Lu pursed her lips and asked, "Is there something else?"

Sean Shaw paused for a moment and asked, "Do you have an umbrella?"

"You're a dragon clan member, do you even need an umbrella?" Lucia Lu asked, puzzled.

"Yeah."

"Sorry, I don't have one..." Lucia Lu said. "Whenever it rains, I just use my escape arts to dodge the rain, so I don't bother with an umbrella."

"Oh... then never mind." He turned and walked into the rain, looking rather pitiful as he got soaked.

Lucia Lu: "..."

The next day, the young men and women of the Divine Generals' Camp headed to the Celestial Palace together.

It's not a short trip from the camp, so they set off early; by the time they arrived, the gods were already filing into the hall.

Everyone was searching for their parents—some for their fathers, some for their mothers. The three Lu siblings, dressed in new clothes, hopped and skipped about, peering everywhere for their mom and dad.

At last, they spotted them at the entrance, chatting with a few imperial hosts.

All three dashed over, excitedly calling out, "Divine Father! Divine Mother!"

Ryan Lu even threw his arms around High Goddess Vivian, just like a little kitten.

Quentin Lian's eyes were full of fatherly affection as he laughed, "You're all grown up now, still pouncing on your parents like this. Do you expect me to hand out candy or something?"

"Divine Father, it's been months since we last saw you! Didn't you miss us?" Lucia Lu clung to Quentin's arm, acting all cute.

"Of course we missed you!" Quentin Lian ruffled Lucia's hair, then ruffled Luna Lian's too. "So, how have you three been? Any mischief or trouble?"

"Nope! We've been super well-behaved!" Lucia Lu declared. "If you don't believe us, just ask His Majesty the Celestial Emperor later!"

"Oh, I will!" Suddenly, a voice rang out behind them.

The three siblings instantly froze.

Ryan Lu quickly let go of High Goddess Vivian.

Lucia Lu also let go of Quentin Lian's arm at once, straightening up and putting on an elegant, dignified pose before turning around.

It was Ethan Lu.

"Big Brother!" the three called out in unison. "You're here too?"

Ethan Lu said, "Not happy to see me, are you?"

"No, no, not at all." The three instantly became much more proper.

High God Brandon Xiao saw this and laughed, "What's going on here? Other people's kids get all shy around their parents, but you three are so casual with yours—and then you get all nervous when your big brother shows up?"

"That's just how they are!" At that moment, Divine Lord Soren Lann arrived.

He arrived together with the Qilin Empress Dowager.

Everyone bowed respectfully: "Divine Lord! Empress Dowager!"

"No need for all the ceremony!" Soren Lann said. "High God Brandon Xiao, and the other High Gods, it's been so long!"

High God Brandon Xiao laughed, "Indeed! I never expected the Qilin Empress Dowager would come too. The Celestial Hall is truly graced today!"

The Qilin Empress Dowager chuckled, "I've come to see my daughter!"

"Daughter?" Brandon Xiao looked confused.

The Empress Dowager only has one son, Soren Lann, and no daughter.

The Qilin Empress Dowager beckoned to Lucia Lu: "Yu'er!"

"Godmother!" Lucia Lu ran over, calling out warmly, "Ah, it's been ages since I saw you! I've missed you so much!"

"Did you really miss me?" The Qilin Empress Dowager asked, eyes full of joy.

"Of course I did!" Lucia Lu said. "I even dreamed about you last night! I never thought I'd actually see you today!"
