The sword formed by merging all three, radiating with countless rays of light, illuminated his sea of consciousness. Its immortal aura was fierce and overwhelming.
After a few breaths, the radiance faded, and two characters appeared on the sword’s body. Ian Song instantly recognized them—Azure Lotus.
With a single thought, the sword appeared in his hand.
No further refining was needed—the sword’s heart was his own sword fetus, already one with his soul.
He gave it a light, casual slash.
"Pfft!"
The void was easily sliced open, leaving a spatial crack. Chaotic spatial energy leaked out for several seconds before the crack finally vanished.
"So strong!"
Ian Song couldn’t help but stroke the sword’s body in silent admiration. That slash just now hadn’t used any sword essence—it was powered purely by the Azure Lotus Sword itself.
What kind of power would it have if he actually infused sword essence into it?
Ian glanced around. Though the cavern was spacious, he worried that a single full-powered slash might be more than it could handle.
With a flicker, Ian flashed back onto the Inheritance Altar.
He raised his hand and struck out.
The first, second, third, and even the fourth restriction layers were easily broken.
"Slash!"
With the Azure Lotus Sword in hand, he slashed again. The fifth restriction, which had once required his full power to break, now yielded easily, revealing the sixth layer.
"Wonder what's in the sixth layer? Slash again!"
He swung the Azure Lotus Sword, tearing open the void and striking hard against the sixth restriction.
Crack!
The restriction broke, revealing a spacious stone chamber. Floating inside was a jade box. With a quick grab, Ian snatched the box and tossed it into his Storage Ring.
Next, he swung his sword again at the seventh restriction.
"Bang!"
The seventh restriction trembled several times but didn’t break, so Ian slashed nine times in a row, each strike landing on the same spot.
Finally, the restriction shattered and another stone chamber appeared.
Inside was a black jade booklet.
He grabbed it and tossed it into his Storage Ring, then swung his sword at the eighth restriction.
But the eighth restriction was far stronger than the seventh—just relying on the Azure Lotus Sword alone wasn’t enough, so Ian poured his true essence into the blade.
The Azure Lotus bloomed.
A cyan lotus of sword-light burst forth from the Azure Lotus Sword, instantly exploding into hundreds of sword-qi strands.
Every strand of sword-qi was thick and solid, each strong enough to instantly kill an Innate Ninth Layer expert.
Like shattering glass, the eighth restriction broke apart with a thunderous crash.
A stone chamber appeared, and inside Ian saw an ancient-looking ring. He grabbed it, intending to store it in his Storage Ring, but found he couldn’t. Ian was delighted—this was clearly something extraordinary.
He casually put it in his pocket, then unleashed his sword essence, pouring it into the Azure Lotus Sword.
"Break for me!"
Nine sword lotuses flashed into view, dividing the surrounding void and condensing into bone-like solidity. The grinding force was like a giant millstone, wildly tearing at the ninth restriction.
"Crack!"
The restriction shattered, and inside the stone chamber appeared a silver miniature boat.
He reached out and grabbed it. The boat landed in his hand, but again, he couldn’t store it in his Storage Ring.
Taking a deep breath, Ian gathered all his true essence and once more unleashed the Lotus Sword Formation against the tenth restriction.
But to Ian’s disappointment, even his full-powered strike couldn’t budge the tenth restriction. Clearly, he wasn’t strong enough to break it yet.
