Although not many people in Six Saints Town have had much schooling, there are plenty of clever folks.
At first, the video seemed confusing and mysterious to them, but as they kept listening, it all started to make sense.
Their eyes lit up!
Right, there’s no way to seek justice for their loved ones within Six Saints Town!
But in the outside world, they could finally get justice!
Justice could be served for everyone who died!
Leave Six Saints Town!
That thought popped into everyone’s mind at the exact same moment!
Before, they never left because they truly believed in the Divine Curse Hoax.
But now, they knew—the Divine Curse Hoax was just a lie, a scam that had fooled them for over three hundred years!
They wanted to leave Six Saints Town, to step into the outside world, to see all those beautiful places!
"I want out! I’m leaving this hellhole!" a young man shouted from the crowd. "I’m done letting the Zhang Family control my life!"
"Zhang San, give us an explanation! Why did you lie to us? Why is the Zhang Family so shameless?"
"Zhang San, come out here! I know you’re inside! You’ve got the guts to lie, but not the guts to face us?"
"Zhangs, you owe us answers today! Otherwise, we’re not letting this go!"
......
Under the curtain of rain, the people of Six Saints Town were furious—their anger had reached a boiling point.
After finishing their work, Cherry Miller and the others quietly slipped out of the crowd.
The doors of the Shrine were tightly shut, but the Zhang Family couldn’t hide in there forever. Sooner or later, they’d have to face the crowd outside.
Right now, the Zhang Family was anxiously holding a meeting, trying to figure out how to solve this mess.
"How could something like this exist in Six Saints Town? What even is this?" Edward Zhang asked in a panic. "Zachary, tell me, what’s going on?"
Zachary Zhang replied coldly, "I suspect someone from the outside world has snuck into Six Saints Town. That big screen is called a television—it’s totally normal out there, but it should be impossible to have one here. Because, for it to show images, you need electricity."
"What’s electricity?"
"Electricity... I can’t really explain it. All I know is, it makes that thing show people’s images." Zachary struggled for words.
He’d never studied it, so how could he understand?
"Anyway, whoever did this isn’t here to make friends," Zachary Zhang said. "Now’s not the time for us to fight each other. If we don’t stick together, we’ll never survive in Six Saints Town!"
Edward Zhang didn’t get along with him, but he knew Zachary was right.
"So what do we do now?" Edward Zhang asked.
"Find the mastermind and negotiate," Zachary Zhang took a deep breath. "If they want food, give them food. If they want gold, give them gold. Our Gold Mine has produced plenty of gold, and also lots of silver. All these are hard currency in the outside world. Whatever their goal is, as long as we pay enough, they won’t push us out!"
"How much do we have to give?"
"Let’s start with twenty pounds," Zachary Zhang said, feeling the pain deep down.
Twenty pounds of gold—how much money could that buy?!
"No way! That’s too much! Think of something else," Edward Zhang protested, unwilling to part with so much.
He’d just lost a ton of food and was already strapped for resources.
Twenty pounds of gold!
Why don’t they just rob us?!
"So what do you want to do, big brother?" Zachary was getting annoyed. "Anyway, after today, I’m stepping down. From now on, dealing with the outside world is your problem. You’re in charge now! I’m done. Happy?"
Edward Zhang snorted, "So I have to clean up the mess you made."
"So, big brother, are you going to take care of this or not?"
"I’ll give it a try," Edward Zhang said, unwilling to give up his position but forcing himself to step up.
Edward Zhang cracked open the Shrine door and shouted to the crowd, "You’ve all been fooled! That guy used some kind of sorcery—he’s just making you look like idiots!"
Edward Zhang’s words instantly sparked public outrage.
"Young Master Zhang, whether we’ve been used or not isn’t the point right now. First, tell us—what’s really going on with this Shrine? What happened more than three hundred years ago? Is the Zhang Family heartless or not? So many lives lost just like that—you owe us an explanation!"
"Zhang San, come out! You made so much money over the years—give it back!"
"Zhang Da, you’re part of the Zhang Family too. You enjoyed all that wealth! You owe us an explanation!"
......
Edward Zhang was sweating with anxiety. Desperate, he shouted, "Who knows what that thing is? Just because he says so, doesn’t make it true! Who knows if he’s even talking about Six Saints Town? Maybe it’s just a coincidence—two towns with the same name! Our Zhang Family would never do something so wicked. We’re innocent!"
At the back of the crowd, Cherry Miller heard Edward Zhang’s voice and sneered, "He really won’t give up until he’s at the end of his rope. Shaohuai, show him a trick!"
"You got it!" Jing Shaohuai immediately started tapping away on his laptop.
A second later, an image appeared again on the big screen in the center of town.
First, there was a satellite view of Earth, then it zoomed in, closer and closer, until it finally stopped right above Six Saints Town.
"Look, what is that!?" someone in the crowd shouted.
Everyone quickly turned to stare at the big screen.
On the screen, there was a top-down view of the town.
Those familiar with Six Saints Town’s layout immediately cried out, "Ah, that’s our town!"
The image zoomed in again and again, finally freezing on the town center of Six Saints Town.
Suddenly, the faces of every person in town appeared on the screen.
Everyone’s confused expressions were crystal clear on the big screen.
"Ahhh, I’m in there! My soul’s been sucked in!" someone in the crowd shouted.

"Ahhh, I’m in there too! I can see myself! What is this thing? It’s like a mirror—you can see yourself!" "Didn’t someone say it was just a coincidence? Well, let me show you if it’s a coincidence or not." Jing Shaohuai’s voice rang out from the corner: "This is a live satellite broadcast. Every move you make, every word you say, is captured by the satellite above and shown on this screen."
Jing Shaohuai’s explanation was way too advanced—none of them understood a word.
But that didn’t stop them from getting the point.
They knew this was something amazing, something from the outside world!
Turns out the outside world has all kinds of magical things—even something that can show everyone inside this giant box. Incredible!
"To keep you hidden from the outside world, the Zhang Family bought a satellite jammer and covered all of Six Saints Town. That’s why nobody out there knows this place even exists. So none of you ever went to school, and nobody ever left these mountains to see the world. Your children and grandchildren will be trapped here too, forced to work for the Zhang Family, making money for them, and even getting killed by them!"
Jing Shaohuai was really good at stirring up emotions.
Just a few words and people’s eyes were already red with tears.
"We had no idea Six Saints Town even existed. One day, we stumbled upon it by accident. When we saw how backward things were here, it broke our hearts! The kids here don’t get a chance to go to school, but in the outside world, every child studies for free—at least nine years, sometimes ten, twenty. The elderly here have no one to care for them, no doctors, just struggling to survive until they’re buried in the dirt. But outside, there’s care for the old, hospitals everywhere, and some treatments are even free. When you get old, the government gives you a pension—no kids, no problem, you’re still cared for. Here, you can’t eat well or dress well, you depend on the weather, and if there’s a disaster, you go hungry. But outside, if you work hard, you’ll never starve—even washing dishes can earn you three or four thousand yuan a month."
"So we wanted to help the people of Six Saints Town. When we offered to take everyone out for free, to move into nice big houses, and give you clothes, food, firewood, books, and help you settle outside, the Zhang Family flatly refused. They said the ancestral graves couldn’t be moved. So we found a feng shui master and picked a perfect new cemetery, but the Zhang Family changed their minds again. This time, they wouldn’t even give a reason—they just wanted to keep everyone here, working and making money for them!"
Jing Shaohuai’s voice was tinged with sorrow: "We just wanted to help, but the Zhang Family didn’t care. They beat us and drove us away. Folks, we couldn’t stand to see you get tricked any longer, so today we’re exposing the truth! The Zhang Family are bloodsuckers—they’ve been leeching off you for generations! Grain sells for twenty cents a pound here, but in the outside world, it’s two yuan a pound! You grow the food—why can’t you sell it yourselves? Why let the Zhang Family take all the profit?"
Jing Shaohuai’s words hit the villagers right where it hurt.
All that talk about dreams and the future was too abstract.
They couldn’t relate to that at all.
But they sure understood the difference between twenty cents and two yuan a pound for grain!
Yeah, that young man was right!
The Zhang Family really was sucking them dry!
If they could sell their grain outside, they’d make ten times as much!
Ten times!
With that kind of money, every family could easily build a big house and get married without a hitch!
The more they thought about it, the angrier they got!
Their hatred for the Zhang Family grew even stronger!
