Woman in the Black Dress

It seems the Ward Family has truly gone mad in their quest to enter the Central Domain—they're even willing to sacrifice their own outstanding juniors.

After some questioning, he learned that the Ward Family's dead Demigod souls are enshrined in the clan's temple, receiving incense offerings from the family. There are a total of twenty-nine.

Among them, two souls reached Fourth-Rank Divine General before death.

Six were Third-Rank Divine Generals.

The rest are all Second-Rank Divine Generals.

Of course, amassing so many Demigod souls took countless years of accumulation.

After giving the Ward Patriarch a few brief instructions, Ian Song left the estate directly.

Now that Dragonskull City is packed with experts and the Goblin Race can no longer threaten it, Ian plans to leave and head back to Insect territory to complete the System's extermination quest.

The day after Ian left, Princess Myra Vance suddenly sent an invitation, asking him to visit the Palace of Myriad Wonders.

When Princess Myra heard that Ian had already left Dragonskull City, she couldn't help but get annoyed. "Does this guy really look down on me so much? Would being my personal guard really be such a humiliation for him?"

"Princess, since that guy doesn't know what's good for him, let's just ignore him!" the cute girl beside her advised.

"What a pity!"

Princess Myra shook her head. "I have plenty of experts at my side, but what I lack are people who can strategize for me. Evan Chu isn't just powerful—he's also extremely smart. It's a shame I can't use him!"

............

Insect territory. The sky was dim, poison mist everywhere. Even with Ian Song's high cultivation, this hellish environment made him want to turn back and leave.

But the damn System just had to give him the extermination quest. No matter how gross it was, he could only grit his teeth, search for the Insect lair, and wipe them out in one go.

Because the Insect environment is so harsh, ordinary martial artists would be poisoned the moment they stepped in. Even high-level cultivators couldn't stay long.

So, the Human Race knows almost nothing about Insect territory—it's basically a blank slate.

That made finding the Insect lair ridiculously hard. Ian could only wander around like a headless fly, hoping to get lucky.

Just like that, Ian spent five whole days in Insect territory.

But what really puzzled him was that all the bugs he ran into were super low-level—not a single one was even close to Origin Core or Sigilforge tier.

"No way, I can't keep going like this!"

After a quick break, Ian decided he couldn't just wander aimlessly anymore—he needed to pick a direction and stick to it.

The Insect territory was said to be as big as a Human province, but no one really knew for sure.

He unleashed his divine sense, covering a hundred miles in every direction, then shot into the sky, speeding off in a straight line.

Before he knew it, he'd flown in that direction for ten days straight—and still hadn't found a thing.

"I can't take it anymore!"

The environment was so awful that Ian's mood went straight down the drain. On a whim, he dove into the Divine Temple, visited the planet where Chloe Snow was cultivating, and spent three days with her before heading out again.

Just like that, another ten days slipped by.

Still, Ian hadn't gotten a single result. Luckily, he had the Divine Temple—if his mood soured, he could go inside and relax. Otherwise, staying in this hellhole would drive anyone mad.
