Is Sam Shang Rumored to Be Gay

1/4/2026

Mrs. Shang had been through all kinds of family drama, so she immediately caught on. "Are you saying Sherry Yuan never had anything to do with Sam Shang, and Sam was just using her as a shield? Sam—no way! I don't believe it!"

On the day she was discharged, Sean Kerr and Sam Shang both came to pick her up. For the first time in a while, Mrs. Shang finally smiled again.

"Has your grandson ever been close with any other women these years?" Mrs. Sun's question hit the mark.

Otherwise, why would Sean Kerr and Sam Shang come together to pick her up from the hospital?

That's right—Sam Shang had never been close with any other women all these years. He only ever hung out with guys.

Sean Kerr felt that his mother had never changed a bit in his entire life.

She'd even forgotten—it was her order that kept Sam away from girls.

Now, after what Mrs. Sun said, all Mrs. Shang could think about was whether Sam Shang actually liked men.

"Go ahead," Sean Kerr replied.

"You and Molly Mao..."

"Where's Sam?" Mrs. Shang asked.

"Mr. Sam is in the study. He said a friend came to discuss something with him..."

Before the servant could finish, Mrs. Shang hurried off to Sam Shang's study.

One day, Mrs. Shang was chatting with a few old friends, planning to ask them to help introduce some well-bred young ladies for Sam Shang.

Sean Kerr was about to lose his temper, but remembered Cherry Miller's advice and mumbled, "Whatever you say."

Seeing Shang Ke didn't object, Mrs. Shang perked up, feeling she'd found her purpose again. She declared, "I must find the best family for Xiaojin. Those old women are simply not good enough for our Shang family!"

Shang Ke looked at her speechlessly.

At her age, still making such a fuss—doesn't she get tired?

Back home, the first thing Mrs. Shang did was call Sam Shang over.

"Grandmother, what are you doing?" Sam Shang spread his arms, blocking Mrs. Shang.

"We've been friends for years, so don't hide it from me. I'll find out sooner or later anyway," Mrs. Shang said.

"Sam, I won't hold your past mistakes against you, but your future wife absolutely cannot be Yuan Shisan." Mrs. Shang stated her position directly. "Even if your father comes back, it won't change a thing. As long as I'm your grandmother, I won't allow her to enter this family!"

"That's right," Mrs. Shang said. "He says it's to meet more talented young people, since he'll be taking over for Sean Kerr in the future. Why?"

Mrs. Shang had expected Sam Shang to fight back, but to her surprise, he agreed without hesitation.

Mrs. Shang was instantly delighted.

She thought Sam Shang must have suffered outside lately, which was why he was so obedient and sensible.

This made Mrs. Shang very satisfied.

"You mean Sherry Yuan?" Mrs. Sun asked.

"So you know about her? That woman really is something..." Mrs. Shang sneered. "If it weren't for her connection to Yina Yin, I would've dealt with her long ago!"

Mrs. Shang was even more pleased.

"Grandmother, what are you doing?" Sam Shang immediately broke free, shielding the young man and comforting him. Furious, he said, "If you can't accept me, then I'll leave!"

It meant her grandson had truly given up and was genuinely letting her take charge.

So, Mrs. Shang started arranging Sam Shang's marriage again.

One day, Mrs. Shang was chatting with a few old friends, planning to ask them to help introduce some well-bred young ladies for Sam Shang.

Before she could say anything, one of her friends, Mrs. Sun, asked mysteriously, "How's your grandson been lately?"

"He's doing well, obedient and sensible," Mrs. Shang replied. "What's up?"

"I heard something..." Mrs. Sun hesitated.

Mrs. Shang sensed something was off and asked, "What is it, really?"

"It's just something I heard, so don't take it seriously. It might be nothing, just rumors," Mrs. Sun dodged even more.

This only made Mrs. Shang more determined to get to the bottom of it.

"We've been friends for years, so don't hide it from me. I'll find out sooner or later anyway," Mrs. Shang said.

"True enough, so I'll just say it," Mrs. Sun replied. "I heard your grandson has been spending a lot of time with some young men lately?"

"That's right," Mrs. Shang said. "He says it's to meet more talented young people, since he'll be taking over for Shang Ke in the future. Why?"

Mrs. Sun gave an awkward smile and said, "But I heard those young men have some unusual preferences. Is it really good for Sam to get so close to them?"

"What kind of unusual preferences?" Mrs. Shang couldn't help but ask. "Don't be vague, just tell me straight."

Mrs. Sun leaned in gossiping, "I heard those boys aren't interested in women. You know, Sam gets along so well with them, maybe he's..."

"Impossible!" Mrs. Shang denied flatly. "Not long ago, he was tangled up with some older woman."

"You mean Yuan Shisan?" Mrs. Sun asked.

"So you know about her? That woman really is something..." Mrs. Shang sneered. "If it weren't for her connection to Yin Yinuo, I would've dealt with her long ago!"

"What are you talking about?" Mrs. Sun said mysteriously. "Sam's still so young, and that woman is much older. Haven't you thought that Yuan Shisan was just a decoy from the start? Look, has Sam been in contact with her at all lately? Old friend, I'm only telling you this because we're close! These days, young people avoid the usual path, take the side road instead. They're afraid their families won't approve, so they purposely get involved with someone impossible to distract everyone."
