Joe Di lingered on Saint Zane Wyne’s Saint Seat for a full month, and not a single person came looking for him. From this, Joe Di understood that no one was going to intervene in this matter.
It wasn’t that the top Saint Seat Holders were unaware of his presence here; rather, the truly powerful cultivators of Saint Seat Plaza simply didn’t care about this incident.
They didn’t even care that he had sealed off Saint Seat Plaza, making entry to and exit from Ninefold Heaven impossible. The only explanation was that most of the Saint Seat Holders here weren’t truly interested in controlling the vast cosmos—they sought, as Saint Zane Wyne had said, to pursue a higher level of divinity.
Joe Di cultivated the Grand Way of cosmic laws. While staying on this Saint Seat could temper his Primordial Soul, such slow progress didn’t concern him at all.
He had completely sealed off Saint Seat Plaza; even he himself would find it extremely troublesome to enter Ninefold Heaven again—he’d need to reach the consummate Creation Realm. After reconstructing a brand new universe with Ye Mo and Nick Ning, his strength had grown, but his cultivation had fallen back to the World Creation Realm.
Since none of the Saint Seat Holders here were giving him any trouble, he naturally wanted to inquire about the true nature of the Ninth Layer of Divinity.
Joe Di still harbored some doubts. Yet with so many Saint Seat Holders focused solely on the Ninth Layer of Divinity and ignoring Ninefold Heaven, he had to get to the bottom of it. Saint Zane Wyne had told him a great deal about the Ninth Layer of Divinity, but Joe Di suspected Zane Wyne was a minor figure here, with limited knowledge.
Joe Di thought the sealing array couldn’t be broken for now, so most of the Saint Seat Holders would be as before—sitting on their seats, absorbing spiritual energy, and refining their Primordial Souls.
To Joe Di’s surprise, after he left his Saint Seat, he discovered that more than half of the Saint Seat Holders weren’t staying on their seats. Like him, they were rushing about in the plaza outside.
At the center of Saint Seat Plaza stood a golden grand hall. On the vast square outside the hall, many Saint Seat Holders were engaged in trading.
Joe Di arrived at the plaza outside the golden grand hall and found that most of the trading here involved Supreme Ley Lines.
To be honest, after reaching the Third Step, the usefulness of Supreme Ley Lines diminished drastically. By the Fourth Step, their effect was almost negligible. He truly couldn’t understand why so many Saint Seat Holders were trading Supreme Ley Lines here.
"Saint Zane Wyne, congratulations on finding a good physical body. Are you planning to stay here? Why not trade those useless Supreme Ley Lines to me? I guarantee you won’t be disappointed—choose any materials or artifacts you like…" Suddenly, a voice rang out behind Joe Di.
It took Joe Di two breaths to react and realize the person was calling him. It must have been the aura of Saint Zane Wyne’s Dao Principle he carried that made him recognizable.
Joe Di cupped his fists and sighed, saying, "My soul possession ran into some issues and remains unresolved, so I came here seeking Dao Fruits that might better fuse soul and body..."
At this point, Joe Di apologized further, "Sorry, you seem familiar, but I just can’t recall your name at the moment."
The Saint Seat Holder before him likely hadn’t undergone soul possession and still had his Primordial Soul body. His soul was quite solid, appearing almost indistinguishable from a physical body. His face was long, and a small triangular starlight glimmered at the center of his brow...
Wait... a triangular starlight at the brow—that seemed familiar. Joe Di quickly remembered; he really did know this person. Before he had entered Saint Seat Plaza, he’d seen a statue of this Saint Seat Holder—Saint Henry Yi. He had controlled the vast cosmos for an extremely long time, something like seven thousand eight hundred sixty-one eras, six thousand seven meetings, eight hundred twenty-one years, and had survived seven Cosmic Tribulations...
"So it’s you…" Saint Henry Yi pointed at Joe Di, a look of realization in his eyes.
As for Joe Di’s claim about soul possession issues and not recognizing him, Saint Henry Yi just chuckled. Such talk might fool a child, but not him. At this moment, he was certain Joe Di was the one who’d entered Saint Seat Plaza and set up the sealing array—or perhaps Saint Zane Wyne had failed at soul possession and was destroyed instead.
Before Saint Henry Yi could respond, Joe Di clapped his hands and said, "Ah, I remember now—Henry Yi, my apologies... Oh, by the way, what did you mean just now when you said ‘so it’s you’?"
Joe Di’s expression was one of utter confusion.
Seeing that Joe Di actually recognized him, Saint Henry Yi felt a bit awkward and said, "So you really did have some trouble with soul possession. I just thought you were the powerful cultivator from outside who set up the sealing array."
"What sealing array?" Joe Di looked even more bewildered. "After soul possession, I’ve just been stabilizing my Primordial Soul and physical body. I’ve only just come out—did something happen that I don’t know about?"
Once Joe Di recognized him, Saint Henry Yi no longer doubted him and explained without reservation about Saint Seat Plaza being locked by the sealing array. After all, if you possessed a Saint Seat Holder, it was nearly impossible to probe their memories.
After listening, Joe Di felt a chill and said, "Henry Yi, if I hadn’t recognized you just now, would you have attacked me...?"
Before Joe Di could finish, Saint Henry Yi laughed and said, "Zane Wyne, you must be mistaken. In fact, including Saint Tyron, almost everyone in Saint Seat Plaza now knows the one who set up the sealing array is hiding here. But no one cares. Saint Tyron and the others are more concerned with how to leave and find a way to step into the Fifth Step of Divinity. So even if you weren’t Zane Wyne, at most I’d just ask you for some Supreme Ley Lines, nothing more."
"Is the Fifth Step related to Supreme Ley Lines?" Joe Di frowned slightly.
At the mention of Supreme Ley Lines, Saint Henry Yi perked up. "Saint Quinn Jett just returned from chaos. He, Saint Tyron, Saint Doyle, and several others deduced a seemingly feasible method..."

Hearing that there might truly be a feasible method for reaching the Ninth Layer of Divinity, Joe Di’s eyes lit up. If there really was a way to ascend to a higher realm, he would never let it slip by. Unfortunately, there was no way to pass the news to Ye Mo and Nick Ning. Still, there was no rush—the tone of Saint Henry Yi suggested the matter was still under consideration.
"What method?" Joe Di asked urgently.
Saint Henry Yi looked at Joe Di in surprise. "Zane Wyne, weren’t you always eager to regain control over the vast cosmos? Are you also interested in seeking a higher level of divinity?"
Joe Di replied helplessly, "I did want to control the vast cosmos, but now Saint Tyron clearly has no interest in breaking the sealing array here. If the array can’t be broken, even if I perfect my physical body, how long will it take to build my own cosmos? Besides, even if I do, I’ll eventually face the Cosmic Tribulation.
Of course, that’s not the main issue—the real question is, how many Saint Seat Holders have undergone soul possession this time? If not a thousand, there must be several hundred. With so many Saint Seat Holders having complete physical bodies… heh…"
Saint Henry Yi laughed, "Zane Wyne, you’re as perceptive as ever. In fact, Saint Tyron thought of this too, which is one reason he doesn’t want to break the array. Previously, whoever perfected their physical body and Dao would be the next to start from Ninefold Heaven and control the vast cosmos.
Now think about it—with so many Saint Seat Holders possessing complete bodies, who should be the first to control the vast cosmos? Once the array is broken, all of Ninefold Heaven could be destroyed by the ensuing battle among Saint Seat Holders. Everyone understands this, which is why Supreme Ley Lines are so scarce now—every single one is fiercely contested.
At this point, Saint Henry Yi didn’t wait for Joe Di to ask and explained, "Based on deductions by Saint Quinn Jett, Saint Tyron, and others, as well as explorations in the boundless chaos, the conclusion is that there must be a realm higher than Ninefold Heaven. However, this place is separated from Ninefold Heaven by infinite chaos.
Any Fourth Step Saint Seat Holder cannot survive in this limitless chaos. Even Saint Quinn Jett can only remain in chaos for a short time. So, to cross the chaos, one must burn Supreme Ley Lines. Anyone wishing to join the quest for a higher realm must contribute at least thirty million Supreme Ley Lines…"
Joe Di drew a sharp breath. He was shocked not only that Saint Quinn Jett could survive in chaos beyond Ninefold Heaven, but also by the staggering number—thirty million Supreme Ley Lines.
In the true boundless chaos, he couldn’t even move. If he hadn’t joined forces with Ye Mo and Nick Ning to create a new universe, he would have been ground to nothingness in the chaos. For Saint Quinn Jett to walk and explore in chaos—what kind of power was that?
Then there was the matter of thirty million Supreme Ley Lines. He had opened up the worlds of countless Third Step experts and even defeated Saint Zane Wyne, and the Supreme Ley Lines in those worlds piled up like mountains—yet there were nowhere near thirty million.
A single Supreme Ley Line could be a thousand to three thousand zhang long. Even mountain ranges that looked endless, when added up, might barely reach ten million, or even less.
(That’s all for today’s update—good night, friends!)
