"Aaaaahhhh!"
Less than half a moment after the four Sun-Soul experts from the Lei Family and Scarlet Flame Sect tore open the void and charged into the dimensional space, they were sent flying out again, shrieking in agony. Brilliant flames clung to each of their Sun-Souls.
After thrashing about for a while, the flames on their Sun-Souls finally went out, but each Sun-Soul had shrunk noticeably, leaving them looking utterly miserable.
Seeing this, Gavin Zhu felt a chill in his heart and demanded coldly, "You little beast, did you lay down a grand formation in Gracefield Town ahead of time?"
"That's right," Ian Stone replied without hesitation. "When the Zhu Family was hunting me across the land, I set up a grand formation in Gracefield Town and waited for you to walk right into the trap!"
"Despicable!" Gavin Zhu cursed, never expecting his opponent to be so cunning.
"Despicable?" Ian sneered. "Anyone can call me despicable—except you. My dear grandfather, tell me, am I wrong?"
"Grandfather?"
The four Sun-Soul experts hovering in the sky were stunned, and so was Ruby Nie.
Suddenly, Elder Mu's Sun-Soul roared, "Gavin Zhu, you owe me an explanation!"
At this moment he felt utterly played. After all this, it turned out Evan Chu and Gavin Zhu were grandfather and grandson.
"Elder Mu, don't misunderstand! I have absolutely nothing to do with that little beast!" Gavin Zhu hurried to explain.
"Ha!"
Ian burst out laughing. "Gavin Zhu, you're still trying to hide it? Why don't you tell them—my mother is...!"
"Shut your mouth, you little beast!"
Gavin Zhu bellowed and shot skyward, charging straight at Ian.
He cultivated one of the Zhu Family's two King-Grade techniques, the Blood Dragon Canon. As a mid-tier King-Grade art, it made him far stronger than the Sun-Soul elder who died before.
This time, Gavin Zhu held nothing back. His body and Sun-Soul merged, transforming into a hundred-zhang-long blood dragon.
"Roooaar!"
The blood dragon howled in fury. Its massive jaws opened, spewing a wave of searing flame that could melt the void, sweeping straight toward Ian.
