No Longer Needed Future 2

12/15/2025

The battle rages on. I keep attacking the World of Instinct before me, but I cannot break through. Each time, my form is shattered at the threshold of this world. Even though I can recover with endless Ghost Aura, the distance between me and the Wraithlord grows ever wider.

The Wraithlord is cunning. All he needs to do is keep moving through the labyrinth of Hell Imprint, and he’ll get farther and farther away. Hell Imprint stretches on infinitely, so there’s no way for the Wraithlord to find an exit. If I want to close the gap, I must stop Hell Imprint from extending—shrink it back. But if I do, the Wraithlord will find the way out.

Those days in Snowridge Springs were not wasted for the Wraithlord. It seems this wasn’t a spur-of-the-moment plan. I keep trying to break through, but I can’t simply move ahead. Within the Hell Imprint, all I can do is keep chasing, but the Wraithlord has already gained a significant lead—I cannot catch up.

“Not even a shred of consciousness left?”

I asked, and the burning, black humanoid with golden eyes stared at me relentlessly. As soon as I moved forward, a surge of overwhelming power crushed me instantly. When I reformed, the world still blocked my way.

I stopped. My consciousness gradually returned, and I could calmly restrain the primal urges of the ghost within.

Thinking back, it’s always been this way for me—rushing headlong into one massive wall after another. Sometimes I got lucky and broke through, but then came an even thicker wall. This time, my luck has finally run out.

I never imagined I’d face such a powerful enemy—so strong that I’m completely helpless. It’s like gravel fighting against the entire world. My fists are clenched, my body still brimming with instinct, but if I use it again, there’ll be no chance for Yin Choujian and the others to survive.

As long as their crystallized forms of instinct, manifested in time, remain, I still have a way. But if I keep using my instincts, the Ghost Sovereigns trapped in Jiuchen Space will die—there’ll be no hope for them to ever return to the world of Yin and Yang.

There’s still so much in this world I’m powerless against. The Yanluos have already sunk into Hell. To stabilize Hell, this world still needs the Ghost Sovereigns. The Immortality Society remains shrouded in thick fog. I can’t let go of my worries. Whenever I think of Seven, my heart aches. I don’t know why he’s with the Immortality Society.
