Confession and Proposal

1/4/2026

Molly Yun had no idea what was about to happen. At the agreed time, she called Yvonne Ye.

Yvonne sounded mysterious on the phone: "Molly, can you come out for a bit? I'm waiting for you here."

Yvonne quickly sent her location.

Molly thought about it—she really had nothing else to do, so she agreed.

Eric Jiang waited until Molly finished her call, his frustrated expression instantly catching her attention.

"What's wrong with you?" Molly asked curiously.

"I... I..." Eric stammered, thinking, Should I tell her not to go? That woman is up to no good!

"Why are you so tongue-tied?" Molly burst out laughing. "You want to come with me, don't you?"

Eric's eyes lit up. "Yeah, it's late and cold outside. I just can't relax about you going alone."

Molly chuckled, "I thought it was something serious. If you want to go, let's go together. Yvonne said she wants to talk to me. You can wait in the car for a bit while I chat with her, then I'll come back."

Eric grinned from ear to ear and nodded. "Great! I'll wait for you in the car!"

Molly couldn't help but laugh and shook her head.

Why is he so nervous?

It's not like I'm meeting another guy.

Molly didn't think much of it, packed up, and headed out with Eric.

When they arrived, Molly got out and walked over by herself.

Eric waited for her in the car as promised.

Just wait, you'll see soon enough what happens...

I hope you can handle what's coming next!

From a distance, Molly saw Yvonne Ye in a gorgeous wedding dress, holding a huge bouquet of fiery red roses.

Molly couldn't help glancing back at where Eric's car was parked.

Why is Yvonne dressed like this so late at night? Who is she trying to impress?

She said she doesn't like Eric Jiang, so is she going to propose to the guy she actually likes tonight?

The idea flashed through Molly's mind as she walked over slowly.

Before Molly could say anything, she heard a cheer from the crowd nearby.

Molly turned and saw people lighting candles in the darkness.

When Molly saw what the candles spelled out, she was stunned.

The candles formed the words: "Molly, will you marry me?"

Yvonne stepped forward, knelt on one knee, and held up the roses. "Molly, thank you for teaching me the meaning of life. You showed me how to break free from life's constraints and pursue the life I want."

Molly's mouth dropped open in disbelief.
