A Hero Who Would Give Up Everything to Stay by Your Side
Lance Quinn rarely visited Liancastle, so he couldn’t just come and go as he pleased. No matter how worried he was about Serena Feng, he couldn’t abandon his official business. There were many matters that neither the City Lord of Liancastle nor Storm Cloud Bu could decide on their own.
If Lance Quinn hadn’t come, they would have had to pass everything to Vincent Su and wait for Lance’s decision. But now that Lance was here, the City Lord of Liancastle seized the chance and piled up all the backlog of official business in front of him.
Even working without sleep or rest, Lance Quinn was busy for two full days. After a deep sleep, he contacted his dark guards—just as they delivered news of Prince Damien’s whereabouts.
Prince Damien was now paralyzed in bed, a useless cripple with no hope of recovery. He was currently in Night City.
“Night City?” Lance Quinn let out a laugh.
How foolish did Reid Yale have to be, taking in Prince Damien like a stray dog? Reid truly had a death wish.
Prince Damien was no longer a threat. Lance Quinn didn’t spare him a second thought and asked, “What about Miss Feng? Any news of her whereabouts?”
“Miss Feng is in the hands of Heartshadow Pavilion,” the dark guard replied, bowing his head deeply.
They had investigated Heartshadow Pavilion before but found no trace of Serena Feng. Now that they’d uncovered the truth, it only made them look even more incompetent.
“Heartshadow Pavilion?” Lance Quinn’s expression darkened, his tone suddenly stern. The dark guard took a quiet breath and hurried to explain, “Please rest assured, Master. Miss Feng is unharmed—she was rescued by the women of Violet Hall. They don’t know her true identity, and for now, her life isn’t in danger.”
