Ignorant of Heaven and Earth

Ian Song waved his hand. "No need."

The other party was clearly provoking him, even calling him an idiot. Although Ian was a little annoyed, it wasn't enough to make him want to kill the guy.

Seeing that Ian didn't want to pursue the matter, General Chachai glanced at his subordinate, who immediately understood and left the room.

The auction continued.

When it came time to auction rough stone #25, the man Chachai had sent out returned, carrying a stack of documents.

"Young Master, here's the information on that guy," Chachai said, offering the documents with both hands.

"Thanks for the effort," Ian replied.

Ian took the documents and skimmed through them. Turns out this young rich kid actually had some background, otherwise he wouldn’t dare act so arrogantly.

His name was Ethan Xu, a scion of the Fragrant Harbor Xu Family.

Fragrant Harbor might be part of the Yanhuang Republic, but its residents always considered themselves superior and looked down on mainlanders.

Sixty million!" Ian called out his first bid.

As the saying goes, good people get bullied, good horses get ridden. Ethan Xu had just provoked Ian and even called him an idiot in front of everyone, but Ian hadn't responded at all, and Chachai hadn't done anything either.

Because of this, those who had been wary of his background now respected him less and looked down on him more.

So after Ian made his bid, only Harold Han and Wendy Jiang dropped out, while five others kept bidding. Oddly enough, Ethan Xu didn't join in this round.

Sixty-two million!

Sixty-four million!

Sixty-six million!

One hundred million!" Ian called out his second bid.

The same trick worked again.

The five remaining bidders all hesitated.

In the end, three people gave up, and the other two decided to fight it out.

One hundred and two million!

One hundred and four million!

One hundred and fifty million!" Ian called out his third bid.

Finally, the other two couldn't handle the pressure from Ian and gave up.

The auctioneer announced, "One hundred and fifty million, once. One hundred and fifty million, twice. One hundred and fifty million, thr—"

A lazy voice suddenly rang out: "One hundred and fifty-two million."

"It's him again. He really doesn't know when to quit!" Chachai's eyes flashed with anger.

The people in the hall looked on, eager to see the drama unfold.

Ian narrowed his eyes, a cold glint flashing across them. He hadn't offended this guy, and had even endured his earlier provocation and insults, yet here he was again, pushing his luck.

Since you want to play, I'll play with you!

So, in a calm voice, he bid: "One hundred and fifty-four million!"

Getting Ian's response, Ethan Xu seemed to hesitate.

The auctioneer continued, "One hundred and fifty-four million, once... twice... three times!"

One hundred and fifty-six million!

Just as the auctioneer was about to announce Ian as the winner of rough stone #29, Ethan Xu interrupted again.

One hundred and sixty million!

Ian placed another bid.

This time, Ethan Xu didn't hesitate and immediately raised by two million.

Back and forth, the price for rough stone #29 had already reached two hundred million.
